Rathdrum, Idaho

The 'St. Stanislaus Kostka Mission is a historic Roman Catholic church in Rathdrum, Idaho. It serves as a mission and chapel of ease of the Parish of St. George in Post Falls, both within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise. The church was established by Fr. T.J. Purcell, who as a young coal miner in Pennsylvania had aspired to the priesthood, but been unable to pursue it due to epilepsy. He prayed to St. Stanislaus Kostka of Poland, who also faced obstacles in his path to a religious vocation, promising to build and dedicate a church to the saint if he were cured. He relocated to Spokane, where he met a bishop who invited him to study for the priesthood in Montreal. Purcell built the Rathdrum church to fulfill his vow. A mural of St. Stanislaus kneeling before the Virgin Mary and infant Jesus was donated by Gonzaga University and restored in 2014.Designed in the Gothic Revival architectural style, the church was built in 1900 and dedicated in 1901. It is the oldest Roman Catholic church built with bricks in the state of Idaho. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 17, 1977.

Lakeland High School is a four-year public secondary school in Rathdrum, Idaho, one of two traditional high schools in the Lakeland Joint School District #272 of northern Kootenai County. The current campus opened in 1979 as a senior high school(grades 10–12); The two high schools of Rathdrum and Spirit Lake camp together to form Lakeland High School in the fall of 1961. The campus located at the now Lakeland Middle School was built in 1962 and was moved into as soon as it was completed. In 1979, that building became the junior high school. The school colors are green and gold and the mascot is a hawk. Even though Rathdrum is a small city, many people attend Lakeland High School. As of January 2008, the school enrolled about 800 students in grades 9–12. It serves students from the Rathdrum, Hauser Lake, Twin Lakes, Spirit Lake and Garwood communities, and other nearby areas. The Lakeland Joint School District was formed in 1948 by consolidating 13 smaller districts; the existing high schools in Rathdrum and Spirit Lake to the north operated until the first Lakeland High School opened in 1961. It took 13 years and 14 elections until the funding for LHS was approved by voters in June 1961. The initial Lakeland High School site on Main Street was deemed inadequate and the present site, now the junior high, was finished in 1962. The district's second high school, Timberlake, opened its doors in 1998 in Spirit Lake. The two high schools from Spirit Lake and Rathdrum came together in the fall of 1961 to create Lakeland High School. The original site of Lakeland High School was in the Rathdrum High School, now Mountain View High School, on Main Street in Rathdrum.

Coeur d'Alene Airport / Pappy Boyington Field (IATA: COE, ICAO: KCOE, FAA LID: COE) is a county-owned public-use airport, located in Kootenai County, Idaho, United States. It is located nine miles (14 km) northwest of the central business district of Coeur d'Alene and is surrounded by the city of Hayden on three sides. The airport was known as Coeur d'Alene Air Terminal until September 2007, when it was renamed Coeur d'Alene Airport / Pappy Boyington Field to honor World War II multiple ace Col. Gregory "Pappy" Boyington (1912–1988), a Medal of Honor recipient born in Coeur d'Alene.

Post Falls High School is a public secondary school in located in Post Falls, Idaho. Established in 1912, the current campus of PFHS opened 24 years ago in 2000; it is the only traditional high school in the Post Falls School District. After four failed bond attempts, the $18 million levy passed by two votes in March 1998. The school colors are black and orange and the mascot is a Trojan.

The Post Falls Community United Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church in Post Falls, Idaho. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It was assembled in 1921 from the combination of two former churches that would move to the site from other Post Falls locations. The former Post Falls Methodist Episcopal Church building has served as the sanctuary and the former Post Falls First Presbyterian Church building has served as a Christian education wing.

The Samuel and Ann Young House in Post Falls, Idaho was built c.1900 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.It is a one-and-a-half-story "modest vernacular version of the Queen Anne style." It was deemed significant as "a rare survivor of the first significant developmental period in the history of Post Falls."

The second high school in the city, LCHS opened in 1994 and draws from the southern and western areas of the Coeur d'Alene school district. The school's colors are navy blue, silver, and teal, and its mascot is the Timberwolf, which students commonly refer to as T-Wizzy.The campus is located on a 45-acre (182,000 m2) site on the corner of Ramsey Road and West Hanley Avenue. Lake City provides educational opportunities to over 1,600 students in grades 9–12. The high school includes several athletic fields, a 2,000 seat football stadium, three gyms, a large weight room, six tennis courts, a track, around 60 classrooms, and a large 400-seat auditorium.
