The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) is a supercomputer facility located on the western end of the Ohio State University campus, just north of Columbus. Established in 1987, the OSC partners with Ohio universities, labs and industries, providing students and researchers with high performance computing, advanced cyberinfrastructure, research and computational science education services. OSC is member-organization of the Ohio Technology Consortium, the technology and information division of the Ohio Department of Higher Education. OSC works with an array of statewide/regional/national communities, including education, academic research, industry, and state government. The Center's research programs are primarily aligned with three of several key areas of research identified by the state to be well positioned for growth and success, such as the biosciences, advanced materials and energy/environment. OSC is funded through the Ohio Department of Higher Education by the state operating and capital budgets of the Ohio General Assembly.

The Ohio Resource Center (ORC) for mathematics, science and reading, a project of the State University Education Deans, has been funded by the Ohio General Assembly and established by the Ohio Board of Regents to: Identify effective instructional and professional development resources and best practices and disseminate them to schools, school districts and higher education institutions. Support sustained professional development for teachers and administrators in the effective adoption of best practices and teaching resources. Foster an integrated educational research and development capacity for Ohio through collaboration with colleges and universities involved in teacher preparation.The role of the ORC is to identify best practices, to disseminate this information to a wide variety of user audiences, and then to assist with implementing, institutionalizing and sustaining these pre-K to 12 practices across the Ohio educational system. ORC uses proposal processes and subcontracts with two- and four-year higher education institutions and other pre- K to 12 education providers for aggregating best practices information, developing interactive data and knowledge bases, disseminating best practices information, and conducting applied research on needed areas critical to the state educational system. Best practices determined through ORC represent a variety of practices, suitable for different purposes and for different audiences, but certified through a peer-review process that assures the validity of each practice for its intended purpose. ORC also makes important contributions to communication with public and business stakeholders of education and to the expansion of the knowledge and databases for informing educational policy. The ORC provides links to peer-reviewed instructional resources that have been identified by a panel of Ohio educators as exemplifying best or promising practice. Available resources also include content and professional resources as well as assessment and general education resources that will support the work of pre-K to 12 classroom teachers and higher education faculty members. The resources are correlated with Ohio's academic content standards and with applicable national content standards. The administrative site for the ORC is located in and administered through the College of Education and Human Ecology of The Ohio State University. Many two- and four-year public and private higher education institutions and several other agencies are involved in the design of ORC's structure, the development of its products, and the delivery of its services. ORC operates primarily as a virtual best practice center, with working groups and research teams drawn from faculty at Ohio colleges and universities in cooperation with schools and school districts across the state. ORC's resources are available primarily via the web and are coordinated with other state and regional efforts to improve student achievement and teacher effectiveness in pre-K to 12 mathematics, science and reading. The website is organized around Ohio's academic content standards.

The Metro Early College High School is a semi-public, non-charter privately funded high school located in Columbus, Ohio; on the campus of Ohio State University. It is also a part of the Metro Schools, along with the Metro Middle School and the Metro Institute of Technology.

Chadwick Arboretum is a 62 acres (25 ha) arboretum on the Agriculture campus of The Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The main arboretum collection is located just across Lane Avenue from the Schottenstein Center with its other collections nearby. The arboretum is open daily without charge. The arboretum proper contains roughly 1,000 trees representing over 120 species that grow throughout Ohio, with special collections of conifers and willows. As of 2005, it contained one Ohio State Champion tree, Abies cephalonica. The arboretum also includes a Learning Garden and specialized gardens for annuals, hostas, perennials, roses, and wildflowers. Taken together, these gardens represent one of the most varied collections of flora in the state, with good selections of native Ohio plants, perennials, tropical plants, wildflowers, woody plants, and more than 400 cultivars of annuals.

Watershed Distillery is a microdistillery in Columbus, Ohio founded in 2010 by business partners Greg Lehman and Dave Rigo. The distillery was the second distillery opened in Central Ohio after prohibition, and Watershed brought to market the first legally distilled bourbon whiskey in Central Ohio post-prohibition in 2012. The distillery offers tours to the public and was the first distillery in Ohio to open a restaurant on-site in February 2017, following the passage of Ohio House Bill 351 in 2016. The distillery offers six spirits: vodka, two types of American style gin, bourbon, nocino and a bottled Old Fashioned cocktail.

The Hilandar Research Library (HRL), located in the Thompson Library on the campus of Ohio State University, has the largest collection of medieval Slavic manuscripts on microform in the world.

Bill Davis Stadium is a baseball venue located in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The stadium is home to the Ohio State Buckeyes baseball team of the Big Ten Conference and is named for William C. "Bill" Davis, a businessman and Ohio State alumnus. The stadium has a capacity of 4,450 and had a record attendance of 5,360, versus the Minnesota Golden Gophers baseball team on May 18, 2002. In 2010, the Buckeyes ranked 46th among Division I baseball programs in attendance, averaging 1,235 per home game.The venue hosted the Big Ten Tournament in 1999, 2001, and 2010.In 2011, the playing field was named in honor of former Buckeye and MLB All-Star/World Series Champion Nick Swisher, thus the official name of the Buckeyes' home is "Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium"In 2012, college baseball writer Eric Sorenson ranked the stadium as the most underrated venue in Division I baseball.

The Tree Bar is a music venue and bar in Columbus, Ohio founded in 1999. It has become known for its underground music scene, and is also known for the silver maple that grew out of the roof of its main performance area before the bar's renovation in 2011. It offers an eclectic mix of local and national acts with genres ranging from DIY, indie rock and heavy metal to pop music and electronic music. For a number of years, the bar has been named one of "The Best Bars in America" by Esquire Magazine.A number of well-known acts have performed at the Tree Bar including The Rosebuds, Times New Viking, Phantogram, Doug Gillard of Guided by Voices, Tim Easton, Two Cow Garage, Watershed and Joseph Genaro of The Dead Milkmen. The venue also plays host to an open-mic, formerly run by Joe Peppercorn of The Whiles and then by Shane Sweeney of Two Cow Garage. Currently run by Zach Whitney of Brothers.

Value City Arena is a multi-purpose arena, located on the campus of Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The arena opened in 1998 and is currently the largest by seating capacity in the Big Ten Conference, with 19,049 seats, which is reduced to 18,809 for Ohio State men's and women’s basketball games.It is home to Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball, women's basketball and men's ice hockey teams. Previously, the basketball teams played at St. John Arena, while the ice hockey team played at the OSU Ice Arena. The facility is named the Jerome Schottenstein Center in honor of Jerome Schottenstein, of Columbus, late founder of Schottenstein Stores Corp. and lead benefactor of the project, while the seating bowl is named for Schottenstein's store Value City Furniture.

Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium is a 10,000-capacity stadium located in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The stadium is home of the Ohio State Buckeyes men's and women's lacrosse teams as well as the soccer and track and field teams. The stadium opened for soccer in the fall of 2001. It also hosts the OHSAA boys and girls track and field State Tournament. It is named after former OSU athlete, Jesse Owens. Owens (September 12, 1913 – March 31, 1980) was an American track and field athlete and four-time Olympic gold medalist at the 1936 Games in Berlin, Germany.

The Drake Performance and Event Center was located at Ohio State University. Formerly known as the Drake Union, it was originally constructed as a student activity center before becoming home to the Department of Theater. The center was located on the west campus of Ohio State between Morrill Tower and Lincoln Tower off the east banks of the Olentangy River.

The Jack Nicklaus Museum is a museum focused on and honoring championship golfer Jack Nicklaus. It is on the campus of the golfer's alma mater of Ohio State University in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.The museum, opened in 2002, is a 24,000-square-foot (2,200 m2) facility offering a comprehensive view of Nicklaus' life and career in and out of golf as well as exhibits celebrating the history and legends of the game. In 2005, it was transferred by the private Jack Nicklaus Museum Inc. to Ohio State University.It houses three theaters, a golf shop and a number of exhibit galleries.
