Deltona, Florida

The Lyonia Preserve is a nature reserve located in Deltona, Florida near the local library. It is joint managed by the state, Volusia County, and the Volusia County School Board. It contains scrublands and the Florida scrub jay, both of which are damaged in the state. The preserve's goal is to maintain the scrublands and the animals on it like the gopher tortoise and Florida scrub jay.

The Deltona massacre (commonly referred to as the "Xbox Murders") was a residential murder which occurred on August 6, 2004, in a home on Telford Lane in Deltona, Florida, United States. Four men broke into the home and bludgeoned six victims to death. The four attackers, apparently inspired by the film Wonderland, tortured and killed four men, two women, and a dog inside the home, making it the bloodiest mass murder in Volusia County history. Their primary motive for the murders was revenge on Erin Belanger, who had evicted a squatter, Troy Victorino, from her grandmother's then-vacant house, with the secondary motive of recovering an Xbox game console and some clothing that Victorino had left behind. Victorino was able to further motivate his accomplices by pointing out that the attack would likely allow them to kill another person they were mad at, but that person happened not to be at the house that night.A jury found Troy Victorino, Robert Cannon, Jerone Hunter, and Michael Salas guilty of the massacre in August 2006. Seventh Circuit Judge William A. Parsons upheld the jury's death penalty recommendation and called the killings "conscienceless" and "unnecessarily torturous." He told each of the men during back-to-back sentencing hearings, "You have not only forfeited your right to live among us, you have forfeited your right to live at all." Salas and Cannon were both sentenced to life in prison, while Hunter and Victorino received the death sentence. The death sentences of Victorino and Hunter were overturned on June 14, 2017. Prosecutors intend to seek death sentences for the two men again and both Victorino and Hunter are awaiting resentencing.

Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) is a private, non-denominational Christian school ministry of Trinity Assembly of God church. It enrolls students from grades K-2 (preschool) to 12th grade. TCA is located in Deltona, Florida. Trinity's baseball team won the state championship in 2009, 2010 and 2012. A former Eagle, Andrew Brown, was a pitcher in the MLB.

Pine Ridge High School is a public high school located in Deltona, Florida. It was built in 1994 and is located at 926 Howland Blvd, near S.R. 415. Pine Ridge High School's team mascot is the Panther and its colors are teal, black, and gold. Pine Ridge has a twin school Atlantic High School. Both schools were built on the same design but by different contractors. Both campuses have the iconic courtyard clock, however the one at Pine Ridge stopped some years ago and the clock has since been covered with signs that feature the schools popular Panther P logo. The Principal for the school is William Ryser.

Deltona High School is a public high school located in Deltona, Florida, United States. It is located on Wolf Pack Run, east of Interstate 4 in the city's northwestern corner. In the 2011–2012 academic school year, the school enrolled 1,666 students in grades 9–12. Deltona High opened on August 29, 1988 as the city's first high school. The school was the first high school in Volusia County to be built since Spruce Creek High School in 1975. The School's main "rival", Pine Ridge High School, comes just down Howland Boulevard.

Green Springs Park is public park in Enterprise, Florida featuring a green-hued sulfur spring. The spring was once part of a 19th-century health resort and the surrounding area is a notable archeological site. After more than 20 years of effort to acquire and develop the site, the park finally opened in September 2008.

The Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Historic District (also known as the town of Cassadaga) is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on March 14, 1991) located in Cassadaga, Florida. The district is bounded by Cassadaga Road and Marion, Stevens, Lake and Chauncey Streets. It contains 65 historic buildings and 2 objects.

Enterprise is an unincorporated community in Volusia County, in the U.S. state of Florida, and its former county seat. Situated on the northern shore of Lake Monroe, it is flanked by the cities of DeBary and Deltona. Enterprise was once the head of navigation on the St. Johns River and at various times, the county seat for three different counties: Mosquito, which was renamed as Orange; and lastly, for Volusia, which was formed from part of Orange County.In 2006 Volusia County government approved a historic overlay which designates Enterprise as an "area of special concern" as a historic village. This establishes a defined historic district within the community and ensures that any development must follow strict guidelines.

Cassadaga (a Seneca Indian word meaning "Water beneath the rocks") is a small unincorporated community located in Volusia County, Florida, United States, just north of Deltona. It is especially known for having many psychics and mediums, and has consequently been named the "Psychic Capital of the World".

The All Saints Episcopal Church is an historic Carpenter Gothic church located at 155 Clark Street in Enterprise, Florida, United States. On May 3, 1974, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Ann Stevens House is a historic home in Lake Helen, Florida, United States. It is located at 201 East Kicklighter Road. On August 18, 1993, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The George E. Turner Power Plant was a coal-burning, and later oil-burning, electrical power plant constructed on the north shore of Lake Monroe, in Enterprise, Florida, United States in 1926. The plant operated as an oil-burning power plant until 1994, providing electrical power to more than 300,000 homes during its peak. The plant was decommissioned in 1994, and occasionally used as a filming location for several television productions. The plant was razed in 2007, and the site now utilized as an ecological buffer zone.
