Circus Hammock is a 22.14-acre (8.96 ha) preserve with unpaved walking trails in Sarasota, Florida. The name is a reference to the historic winter quarters of the Ringling Brothers Circus. Habitat at the preserve includes hydric hammock. The property was purchased by Sarasota County in June 2006 through the Environmentally Sensitive Lands Protection Program (ESLPP). Wildlife inhabiting the area include woodpeckers, box turtles, red-shouldered hawks, barred owls and song birds. The entrance is adjacent to 17th Street Paw Park and north of 17th Street Park.

The school's opened their present facility in 2002. The school buildings were designed by architect Rafael Moreu of Moreu & Associates and are two-story monolithic domes with stemwalls. It is located at 4380 Fruitville Road. It opened with classrooms (i.e. math), a library, a common room, restrooms, a chapel, gym, a cafeteria, and a playground, for K-5 during playtime and a playing field for grades 6–8 during playtime (aka breaktime)/break.

Robarts Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Sarasota, Florida, located on the Sarasota County Fairgrounds. Built in 1967, it has a seating capacity of about 4,000. In 2011, Robarts Arena is undergoing $500,000 in capital improvements. The arena was the home venue for the Sarasota Stingers of the Continental Basketball Association from 1983 to 1985.

Emma E. Booker Elementary School is a public elementary school in Sarasota, Florida, which opened in the fall of 1989. It is one of the Booker Schools, with a middle and high school of the same name nearby. It is a part of Sarasota County Schools. On September 11, 2001, the school received international attention because United States President George W. Bush was visiting when he learned of the terrorist attacks that were unfolding that day.

Whitehead Pond, known today as Lime Lake, is a man-made 3-acre (1.2 ha) fresh water pond originally built as a stormwater pond to reduce flooding in the surrounding area. The pond lies at the easternmost edge of 22nd Street in Sarasota, Florida. The pond and its surrounding acreage was originally purchased by Wilmon Whitehead after he returned from World War II in 1947, where he raised his family. Wilmon Whitehead eventually sold the pond and many other acres to Sarasota County. The county redeveloped much of the land, built a school, and made the pond and surrounding area into a county owned park known as Lime Lake Park. The Whitehead family still owns much of the land that wraps around Lime Lake. The original home that Wilmon Whitehead built still sits on the shore of the lake.

It is situated near the intersection of Bahia Vista Street and Beneva Road in Sarasota, Florida, U.S. It is a popular winter vacation spot for many North American Amish and Mennonites, particularly from Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
