The Pope Avenue Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on December 7, 2001) located in Winter Haven, Florida. The district is bounded roughly by Avenue A Northwest, Pope Avenue Northwest, 6th and 7th Streets Northwest. It contains 29 historic buildings.

The Woman's Club of Winter Haven (also known as the Women's Civic League of Winter Haven and Vicinity Clubhouse) is a historic woman's club in Winter Haven, Florida. It is located at 660 Pope Avenue, Northwest. On August 10, 1998, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Since 2006, it has served as the headquarters of the Museum of Winter Haven History.

Winter Haven Hospital is a hospital and health service system based in Winter Haven, Florida. The hospital is managed and supported by the Winter Haven Hospital Foundation—a 501(c)3 non-profit organization—and is owned by BayCare Health System, a group of 15 not-for-profit hospitals in the Tampa Bay Area. The Winter Haven Hospital system includes the hospital proper, the Community Blood Center, the Winter Haven Women's Hospital, the Winter Haven Ambulatory Surgery and Diagnostic Center, the Center for Behavioral Health, and seven Family Health Centers in Winter Haven and surrounding communities.

The Winter Haven Heights Historic Residential District (also known as Winter Haven Heights Historic District) is a U.S. historic district in Winter Haven, Florida. It is roughly bounded by Lake Martha, 2nd Street Northeast, 5th Street Northeast, and Avenue A Northeast, encompasses approximately 450 acres (1.8 km2), and contains 147 historic buildings. On June 15, 2000, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Interlaken Historic Residential District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on March 28, 2002) located in Winter Haven, Florida. The neighborhood of Interlaken is approximately 300 acres (1.2 km2). It is bound in by the lakes and canals of the Chain of Lakes. The term "Interlaken" means "between lakes". The primary boundaries are the north shore of Lake Howard, the southwest shore of Lake Mirror, and the Cannon-Howard Canal.The neighborhood consists exclusively of single-family homes. More than two-thirds of the homes in Interlaken, 50 homes in total, are on the National Register of Historic Places. The majority of these home were built between 1910 and 1924, with some being built as late as 1949. These homes are noted for their grace and beauty, and as prime examples of Colonial Revival architectural style.Interlaken Park is a small public park in the neighborhood, located at Avenue L and Orange St. The land for the park was originally platted for a single family home construction, like the rest of the neighborhood. However, speculators drove up the price of the lot, only to have it crash in the Florida land bust of 1925 and the Great Depression. Dr. Willey Terrell Simpson, who lived across from the park, purchased it during the height of the depression at a greatly reduced price. He then donated it to the city for use as a public park. It is the only lot in the neighborhood not developed as a single-family home. Today the park provides open space and individual picnic facilities.

Winter Haven High School is a four-year public high school located in Winter Haven, Florida, a city of 27,855 (2004 census).

Winter Haven station is a train station in Winter Haven, Florida, served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system of the United States. It was originally built in 1925 by the Seaboard Air Line Railway, and was rebuilt in 1947. It included a freight depot which was located on the south side of the station until 1982, and was torn down after Seaboard Coast Line Railroad merged with Louisville and Nashville Railroad the next year. Today, after a series of mergers, the station track is owned by CSX Transportation. Tracks that cross the platform on the south side of the station serve as an interchange point between CSX Transportation and the Florida Midland Railroad Gordonville Subdivision.The station provides service 4 times daily on the northbound and southbound Silver Star and Silver Meteor lines.

Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School is located at 999 Avenue H NE in Winter Haven, Florida, United States. A charter school, it is affiliated and colocated with Polk State College. Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School acts as a way for students to receive high school credits as well as college credits simultaneously. Once accepted into said program you would spend the next two years completing both your high school diploma as well as your Associate of Arts degree. Polk State College Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School is a public charter school that provides highly motivated 11th and 12th-grade students from throughout Polk County with a distinctive experience, blending traditional high school with collegiate coursework.

Chain of Lakes Park is a baseball field in Winter Haven, Florida. The stadium was built in 1966 and holds 7,000 people. It was the spring training home of the Boston Red Sox from 1966 to 1992, after which the Red Sox moved operations to City of Palms Park in Fort Myers. In 1993, the Cleveland Indians moved into Chain of Lakes Park after their own stadium in Homestead was destroyed by Hurricane Andrew. The stadium served as Cleveland's spring training home until their last game on March 27, 2008. Cleveland moved their spring training operations to Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona in 2009. The future of the ballpark and facility is in doubt; its location on Lake Lulu has become valuable for commercial and residential development. In 2011, developers proposed a multipurpose redevelopment of the site, including hotels, restaurants, shops, and a movie theater. In December 2020, Winter Haven and Polk County agreed to demolish the stadium and replace it with baseball diamonds and general-purpose athletic fields.

Denison Field was a baseball field in Winter Haven, Florida. The stadium was built in 1928 with a wooden grandstand. It was the spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies from 1928 to 1937, and the New York Giants in 1940. The field was located just west of the current site of the National Guard Armory at the intersection of Avenue C and Sixth St Southeast. The location is the current site of high school football field, Denison Stadium.The distance from home plate to the right field fence was "over 400 feet", and the distances to center and left field even greater.The Giants attracted 15,743 paying fans during sixteen games in 1940 and children were admitted free.

Lake Elbert is a circular lake with a circular cove on its southwest side. The Polk County Water Atlas says it is sometimes known as Little Elbert, but no other sources have used this name. Lake Elbert is a natural freshwater lake with a 172-acre (700,000 m2) surface area. It has ten to twelve mostly very small islands, all near shore. The largest, on the south side, is about 150 feet (46 m) long and about 75 feet (23 m) wide. It is entirely surrounded by Lake Elbert Drive. On the south side of the lake, Lake Elbert Drive is a major thoroughfare linking up on the southwest with Central Avenue and on the southeast with Dundee Road. Across the street from the lake is mostly residential housing. A small section on the southwest has two medical offices and on the northwest the lake adjoins Polk State College.There are no public swimming areas on Lake Elbert. The public, however, has access to the lake at several points on the shore. A public boat ramp is located adjacent to Polk State College. Fishing is allowed on the lake. The Hook and Bullet website says Lake Elbert contains largemouth bass, bluegill and crappie.
