The school mascot is the Patriot, and the school colors are red, white and blue. The school newspaper is called the Powder Horn Press and the yearbook is Occurrences. The school is home to the Criminal Justice Academy magnet program, as well as the First Responders magnet program.

Its graphic arts program, known as the Academy of Entertainment Arts (AEA), is designated as a center of excellence. The school also offers a program in the culinary arts, which is also designated as a center of excellence. The school also offers Cambridge/AICE curriculum, as well as a Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program.

Lealman, known as East Lealman until 2010, is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 19,879 at the 2010 census. Prior to 2010, Lealman was part of a larger CDP named West and East Lealman. Community Redevelopment Area In 2015, the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners created the Lealman Community Redevelopment Area (CRA), the first redevelopment area in unincorporated Pinellas County.

Florida's 13th congressional district is an electoral district for the U.S. Congress and was reassigned in 2012, effective January 2013, to Pinellas County. This district includes St. Petersburg, Largo, and Clearwater. During 2003–2012, it encompassed all of Sarasota, DeSoto, and Hardee counties and most of Manatee County except for a small northern coastal portion that was then located in the neighboring 11th Congressional District. It also included a small section of Charlotte County. Most of that district is now the 16th district, while the current 13th covers most of what had been the 10th District from 1993 to 2013. The district is currently represented by Democrat Charlie Crist.

The Star Center is the former site of the Pinellas Plant, a nuclear weapons manufacturing facility operated by the United States Department of Energy−DOE. It produced radioisotope-powered electronic components for the United States nuclear weapons program.

Lealman innovation academy is a school in Lealman, Florida, in the United States. It is part of the Pinellas County Schools district and is located just west of the St. Petersburg city limits. Lealman Intermediate School was founded in 2005 and replaced the 28th Street Drive-In Theater in Lealman.
