Clearwater Air Park (IATA: CLW, ICAO: KCLW, FAA LID: CLW) is a city-owned public-use airport located three miles (4.8 km) northeast of the central business district of Clearwater, a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States.

The St. Petersburg Training Center is a closed United States Air Force facility that was located in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was last assigned to the United States Army Air Forces Personnel Distribution Command. It was closed in 1945. Opened on 6 July 1942, the St. Petersburg Training Center was an enlisted basic training centers (BTC) of the Army Air Forces during World War II. The basic training center closed on 19 July 1943 and was moved to Lincoln Army Airfield, Nebraska. Subsequently, the facility was transferred to the AAF Personnel Distribution Command. It arranged the deployment of airmen to overseas groups and squadrons in combat theaters around the world.

Clearwater High School (CHS) is a four-year public high school located in Clearwater, Florida, United States. It is part of the Pinellas County School System. The school's athletic teams are known as the Tornadoes. Their colors are crimson and gray, which is also the name of their fight song.

North Greenwood Cemetery was a historically African American cemetery in Clearwater, Florida, United States. The cemetery covered about 1.5 acres (0.61 ha). In 1954, some of the bodies were relocated and the site turned over to the local school board. The Palmetto Elementary School was constructed on the site. In 2021, researchers found evidence of 29 graves remaining at the site.

Jack Russell Memorial Stadium is a stadium in Clearwater, Florida. It opened as Jack Russell Stadium in 1955. It was the spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies Major League Baseball team from 1955 through 2003. Since 2017, it has been home to the Clearwater High School and St. Petersburg College baseball teams.The Clearwater Bombers, a softball team that won 10 National Amateur Softball Association titles between 1950 and 1973, played their home games there from 1955 through 1984. The name of the stadium was changed to Jack Russell Memorial Stadium following Jack Russell's death in November 1990. In 2004, the Philadelphia Phillies moved to Bright House Networks Field, 4 miles to the east. Most of the ballpark was demolished on July 21, 2007. The dugouts, offices, and other elements were retained as the field has continued to be used for amateur baseball.

The North Greenwood Library is a public library that is part of the Clearwater Library System which, in turn, is part of the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative. Located at 905 N Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, its current Branch Manager is Christa Smith.

On July 19, 2018, Markeis McGlockton, 28, was fatally shot by Michael Drejka at a parking lot outside a local convenience store in Clearwater, Florida, United States. Shortly before the shooting, Drejka approached McGlockton's car and began to confront McGlockton's girlfriend for parking in a disabled parking space without a placard. McGlockton came out of the store and shoved Drejka to the ground. At this point, Drejka drew his handgun and McGlockton began to back away. Five seconds after Drejka hit the ground, he shot McGlockton. McGlockton later died from his injuries at a local hospital. He was unarmed at the time he was shot.Drejka, a 47-year-old man, was not initially charged for the killing by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, with Sheriff Bob Gualtieri citing Florida's stand-your-ground law as the reason. The investigation was then handed over to the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida State Attorney Bernie McCabe, who charged Drejka with one count of manslaughter on August 13, 2018. Drejka pleaded not guilty to the charge. His trial began on August 19, 2019. Drejka was convicted of manslaughter on August 23, 2019, and was sentenced to imprisonment for twenty years on October 10, 2019. The incident was widely reported by news media as another instance of Florida's controversial stand-your-ground law, six years after the killing of Trayvon Martin generated international attention and debate.

Clearwater Athletic Field was a stadium in Clearwater, Florida. It was first used by professional baseball teams for spring training in 1923 and was the Phillies' first spring training ballpark in Clearwater. The grandstand sat approximately 2,000 and bleachers increased capacity to close to 3,000. Home plate was located on Pennsylvania Avenue, which ran south to north along the third base line, near Seminole Street. Left field ran parallel to Palmetto Street, and right field ran parallel to Greenwood Ave. The grandstand was destroyed by fire in April 1956.The North Greenwood Recreation and Aquatic Complex now stands on the site of ballpark. On March 19, 2016, the site of the ballpark was recognized as a Florida Heritage Site and the location added to the state's heritage map.

Clearwater Academy International is a private school located in Clearwater, Florida. The school serves grades Pre-K to 12 in a co-educational system. It was formed in 1997 after the merger of Jefferson Academy, A To Be School, and the Renaissance Academy.The school is licenced by Applied Scholastics and uses the Study Technology by Scientology's founder L. Ron Hubbard. The school receives public funding through voucher and tax credit scholarship programs as per a 2017 Huffington Post investigation where it was disclosed the school received more than $500,000 in taxpayer money for student scholarships between 2012–2016.Clearwater Academy's football team are called the Knights and they won the 8-man football championships in 2014 and 2015, and moved to 11-to-11 in 2016.In 2017, students from the academy participated in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Texas.

The Carpenter Complex is a complex of four baseball fields, training facilities, and offices in Clearwater, Florida. It opened as Carpenter Field in 1967. It is the Florida home of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball operations, spring training site for the Phillies’ minor league players, home to the Florida Complex League Phillies, and adjacent to BayCare Ballpark, spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies and regular season home of the Clearwater Threshers. While the Complex is now adjacent to BayCare Ballpark, the Phillies, until 2004, played spring training games a short drive away, which gave the Complex its own identity in the Phillies organizational structure and the team's history. The Complex has four fields, each named for Phillies Hall of Fame players (all of whom trained with the Phillies in Clearwater and also were the first four Phillies to have their uniform numbers retired), Rich Ashburn Field, Robin Roberts Field, Mike Schmidt Field, and Steve Carlton Field. In 2004, the Phillies officially renamed the Complex The Paul Owens Training Facility at Carpenter Complex, which honored Paul Owens' memory but also served to distinguish the training fields from the primary spring ballpark, BayCare Ballpark, which is also at Carpenter Complex.

BayCare Ballpark is a baseball stadium located in Clearwater, Florida. The stadium was built in 2004 and has a maximum seating capacity of 8,500 people (7,000 fixed seats with additional grass berm seating for 1,500). The ballpark is the spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies, and also the home of their Class A affiliate, the Clearwater Threshers of the Florida State League. A sculpture titled The Ace—by artist Kevin Brady—stands at the ballpark's west entrance plaza.

The Cleveland Street United States Post Office, or simply Cleveland Street Post Office, is a historic site in Clearwater, Florida. It is located at 650 Cleveland Street. It was dedicated on October 9, 1933. It was built by the Walt and Sinclair construction firm in a Mediterranean-Revival architecture style. On August 7, 1980, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
