Sand Lake Road station is a train station in the Pine Castle area of Orange County, Florida. The station serves SunRail, the commuter rail service of Central Florida. The station was the southern terminus of SunRail up until July 30, 2018, when service was extended south to Poinciana. The station is the first passenger station to exist in Pine Castle since the decline of service from the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad.

The Florida Mall is a super regional enclosed shopping mall located south of Orlando in unincorporated Orange County, Florida, United States, on the southeast corner of Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Road; it opened in 1986. The mall features JCPenney, Dillard's, Macy's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Sears, in addition to the Crayola Experience. Penney Company) starting in 1979-1984; it is currently managed by Simon Property Group, which owns 50%, having fallen to Simon following the 1996 merger of Simon and DeBartolo Realty into Simon DeBartolo Group. With 1,699,571 sq ft (157,900 m2) of gross leasable area and 294 retailers, it is one of the largest single-story malls in the United States and the largest mall in Central Florida.

Southern Technical College is a private for-profit technical college with multiple locations in Florida. It was founded in 2001 and provides diploma and associate degree programs. Southwest Florida College merged into Southern Technical College in 2014.

Meadow Woods station is a train station in the community of Meadow Woods, Florida. It is located along the southern phase of SunRail, the commuter rail service of Greater Orlando. The station is named after the community where it is located. The station held a train tour with an open house on June 23, 2018, and revenue service commenced on 30 July 2018.The station has been rumored to be one of the two Orlando-area stops for Brightline's prospective service from Orlando to Tampa, along with the South Airport Intermodal Terminal located at Orlando International Airport.

Oak Ridge High School is a public high school in Orlando, Florida, established in 1959. The school had been rated a D or F institution by the state starting in 2000. In 2012, the school was awarded a C grade, breaking the low performance streak. In 2013, the school further improved and was awarded a B grade.

Cypress Creek High School is located in Orlando, Florida, and serves students in grades 9 through 12. Cypress Creek is an IB World School with an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. As an IB World School, CCHS is a local magnet school allowing students from other Orange County, Florida schools to attend.Cypress Creek High School receives graduating students from Meadow Woods Middle School, South Creek Middle School and Walker Middle School. However, it is a magnet school, so students from surrounding middle schools (e.g. Hunters Creek Middle School, Freedom Middle School, Westridge Middle School, Lake Nona Middle School, Southwest Middle School) also attend Cypress Creek albeit in smaller numbers.

Mid Florida Tech is a public adult vocational school located in Orlando, Florida, part of Orange County Public Schools' Career and Technical Education department. Founded in 1963, it occupies a 106-acre (0.43 km2) campus. It offers an array of programs that train students for skilled labor in diverse fields, from air conditioning and heating mechanics to real estate sales. In addition, the institution is also home to the Central Florida Fire Academy, which provides firefighting and emergency service training. Classes are held on and off-campus, and the school also features cooperative programs in conjunction with area employers.
