Phyllis Wheatley High School, previously Apopka Colored School was a school for Black children in Apopka, Florida prior to desegregation of the public schools. It is now an elementary school.

The station was built in 1918 to serve a line originally used by the Tavares, Orlando, and Atlantic Railroad in 1885. On March 15, 1993, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. In 2010, a proposal was made to relocate the depot.

On November 7, 1991, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The house was built for R.N. Mitchell, a pioneer in the Apopka area. It was later owned by George W. Tibbetts, a general in the Union Army.

Wekiva High School is a high school located in Apopka, Florida, United States. The school mascot is the mustang. The school colors are maroon, navy and gold. It was established in 2007 as a relief school for Apopka High School and Ocoee High School. Its principal since July 2023 is Kenisha Williams.
