Felix Varela Senior High School is a public high school located at 15255 SW 96th St. in The Hammocks, unincorporated Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States.Past principals include Millie Fornell (2000–2005), Connie Navarro (2005–2011), Nery Fins (2011–2023). The current principal is Adrian M. Sánchez (2023-present) The school was named after Father Félix Varela (1788–1853), a Cuban Roman Catholic Priest, human rights advocate, teacher, and an admired figure throughout the Cuban American exile community. The school opened its doors to approximately 2,000 9th and 10th graders (classes of 2003–2004) on August 28, 2000. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Wings Over Miami is a flying aviation museum of historically significant aircraft, located at Miami Executive Airport in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States, 13 mi (21 km) southwest of the central business district of Miami.

Miami Executive Airport, formerly known until 2014 as Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport, (IATA: TMB, ICAO: KTMB, FAA LID: TMB) is a public airport in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, Florida, 13 miles (21 km) southwest of Downtown Miami. It is operated by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. The airport opened on November 18, 1967, replacing Tamiami Airport, next to the Tamiami Trail. Growth of the surrounding area and the nearby flight path to Miami International Airport had forced the move to the southwest, near the community of Kendall. Florida International University is now on the site of the old Tamiami Airport. Kendall-Tamiami airport is owned and operated by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. 450 aircraft are based there, mostly single-engine light aircraft. The airport is a port of entry with U.S. Customs personnel on hand, although it is not certified for airline use. In recent years it has become popular as a corporate aviation terminal.

Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School is a private high school in The Hammocks, Dade County, Florida, United States, that was opened in 1998. Sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Miami, it is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Named after the first Archbishop of Miami, Coleman Francis Carroll, the school's mascot is the Bulldog. Monsignor Gerard Thomas La Cerra was the first supervising principal of Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School. Students wear a uniform consisting of a solid white or light blue shirt, ACHS khaki slacks, a black leather belt, black shoes, and a student ID with ACHS lanyard. As of the 2019–2020 school year, there are 300 students enrolled in grades nine through twelve.
