The First United Methodist Church of Umatilla (listed as the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, at Umatilla) is an historic Methodist church in Umatilla, Florida, in the United States. It is located at 100 West Guerrant Street. On January 27, 2000, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.It is a one-story brick with an irregular plan and a complex cross-gable roof, which was built in 1922. It has "two entry towers, pointed windows with stained glass, and a pedimented main facade with two classical columns", and it incorporated the frame shell of an 1886 predecessor building.

Kismet is a ghost town in Lake County, Florida, in an area which is now part of the Ocala National Forest. It was founded in 1884 by the Kismet Land and Improvement company and was a citrus town. During the late 1800s, the St. John's and Eustis Railroad had planned to extend a line into Kismet, but the Great Freeze drove many residents to leave. Nothing remains of the town today. The town is best known as the place where Elias Disney and his wife Flora were married. Their son, Walt Disney, visited as a child.The community had a large, 50-room hotel which was dismantled and moved from Kismet to Eustis, Florida in 1910.

Central Florida is a region of the U.S. state of Florida. Different sources give different definitions for the region, but as its name implies it is usually said to comprise the central part of the state, including the Tampa Bay area and the Greater Orlando area, though in recent times the Tampa Bay area has often been described as its own region, with "central Florida" becoming more synonymous with the Orlando area (most notably, this is what the local news channels in each respective metro area call their region).It is one of Florida's three directional regions, along with north Florida and south Florida. Sometimes Ocala, which is in Marion County, was included. Although Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas are also considered to be the Tampa Bay area.

Clearwater Lake Recreation Area and the Clearwater Lake Campground are located by Clearwater Lake along the southeastern edge of the Ocala National Forest in Central Florida outside Paisley, Florida in Lake County, Florida. The recreation area has 42 campsites, a picnic area, and a beach in an area of oak hammock at 24511 County Road 42. The lake covers 32 acres (13 ha). The recreation area has access to hiking and biking trails. Canoe rentals are offered. There is also a nature trail by the lake, mountain biking on the Paisley Woods Bicycle Trail, and access to the Florida Trail. The area is also used by kayakers.

Lake Yale is a lake in Lake County, Florida north of the community of Grand Island and west of the city of Umatilla. It is around 4,020 acres (1,630 ha) in area with a drainage basin of 15,394 acres (6,230 ha).Lake Yale is mostly surrounded by marshland and sandy hills The Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center is on the west shore. There is only one island on the lake, Rabbit Island near its eastern shore. It is connected to Lake Griffin by the Yale-Griffin canal. The canal runs through the Emeralda Marsh Conservation Area and is often overgrown with vegetation and unnavigable by boat. There is boat access into the lake via a ramp in Marsh Memorial Park in the southeast corner. The lake bottom is sandy.
