Merritt Square Mall is a shopping mall in Merritt Island, Florida. Opened in 1970, the mall features four anchor stores: J. C. Penney, Dillard's, Macy's, and Ollie's Bargain Outlet with one vacant anchor last occupied by Sears.

The Merritt Island Causeway, mostly in Merritt Island, connects Cocoa, Merritt Island, Florida, and Cocoa Beach, Florida. The causeway transits the Willard Peebles bridge over the Banana River Lagoon. In the 1960s, SR A1A was routed over the eastern causeway from present day SR 520 and SR A1A, to the present day intersection of SR 520 and SR 3 on Merritt Island. The eastern section is known as the Cocoa Beach Causeway.

Edgewood Junior-Senior High School, more often called Edgewood, is a secondary school located at 180 East Merritt Avenue in Merritt Island, Florida, USA. Edgewood enrolls students from grades seven through twelve. It is part of the Brevard Public Schools System. It was the second "School of Choice" in Brevard County. The school has been in operation since 1960, first as Edgewood Middle School, then Edgewood Junior High and now as Edgewood Junior/Senior High School. In 2008 U.S. News & World Report included Edgewood in the "Best" category among the nation's high schools, only one of two in Brevard County to be listed, and the school was ranked 43 out of 21,069 in the country. In 2009, the school was rated as the 54th best high school in the country by U.S. News & World Report.In the 2020–2021 school year there were 934 students, 82 faculty and staff, and 3 administrators. In the same school year the school underwent a mascot change. There were several levels of voting that allowed people to suggest mascots and then vote for the new mascot. The top options were presented to the student government and the Wolves were chosen. Another survey was given to students to decide whether it should be Wolves or Red Wolves. Red Wolves was the final decision.

Merritt Island High School is a public high school located in Merritt Island, Florida. It was built in 1965.

Angel City is a populated place on the Horti Point peninsula of Merritt Island, in Brevard County, Florida, United States. Angel City had a post office between 1927 and 1931. It is believed that the community was named for an early settler, John Angel. Hattie Worley, wife of Oscar Worley, the bridge tender, named Angel City after the first homesteader, Captain Angel from Rhode Island.

Tropical Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It occupies a portion of Merritt Island, a barrier island, and is surrounded by the CDP of Merritt Island. Florida State Road 3 is the main highway in the area, forming the eastern edge of Tropical Park. Tropical Park was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church is a parish of the Episcopal Church in Cocoa, Brevard County, Florida, in the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida. It is noted for its historic church building located at 4 Church Street, built circa 1886. A parochial school, St. Mark's Episcopal Academy, was begun by the church in 1956.

The H. S. Williams House was a historic U.S. home located at 1219 Rockledge Drive, Rockledge, Florida. Hiram Smith Williams built the house in 1880 after moving to the area in 1874 from Alabama. Williams grew citrus, founded Brevard Telephone Company, and served as a Florida state senator. The second floor, above the kitchen of the home was used as a schoolroom for children, becoming one of the first schools in the county..Brevard County purchased the home in 1989 and restored it. In 2012, the Preservation and Education Trust from Rockledge was raising money to turn the house into a historic museum. In December 2020, the museum opened to the public for guided tours.

The Rockledge Drive Residential District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on August 21, 1992) located in Rockledge, Florida. The district runs from 15 through 23 Rockledge Avenue, 219 through 1361 Rockledge Drive and 1 through 11 Orange Avenue. It contains 100 historic buildings.

The Porcher House is a historic home in Cocoa, Florida. It is located at 434 Delannoy Avenue. On January 6, 1986, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1916 by Edward Postell Porcher as a home for his wife, Byrnina M. Peck, the historic house is an excellent example of 20th century classical revival architecture, adapted to the Florida climate. The ten bedroom house is composed of native coquina rock, and finished in the interior with teak, oak, and cedar. In the 1950s, the city of Cocoa obtained the house from the Porcher family and turned it into the City Hall. It is currently rented out for special occasions. Porcher was a pioneer in the citrus industry and is credited with being the first to wash, grade and inspect fruit. His wife was the first postmistress of Merritt Island.

The Barton Avenue Residential District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on August 21, 1992) located in Rockledge, Florida. The district runs from 11 through 59 Barton Avenue. It contains 41 historic buildings.

The Valencia Subdivision Residential District is a historic district in Rockledge, Florida. It runs from 14 through 140 Valencia Road, 825 through 827 Osceola Drive and 24 through 28 Orange Avenue, encompasses approximately 100 acres (40 ha), and contains 54 historic buildings and 2 objects. On August 21, 1992, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
