Birely, Hillman & Streaker was a prominent Philadelphia shipbuilding firm through the latter part of the 19th century. The shipyard specialized in the manufacturer of large wooden paddle steamers and wooden steamboats for the domestic American market.

The Treaty of Shackamaxon, also called the Great Treaty and Penn's Treaty, was a legendary treaty between William Penn and Tamanend of the Lenape signed in 1682. Penn and Tamanend agreed that their people would live in a state of perpetual peace.

Penn Treaty Park is a small park on the western bank of the Delaware River, in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located on Beach Street, near its intersection with Delaware Avenue. The land that is now the park was part of the LenapeShackamaxon, where William Penn famously entered into a treaty of peace with Tamanend, a chief of the Lenape Turtle Clan in 1683.

William Cramp & Sons Shipbuilding Company (also known as William Cramp & Sons Ship & Engine Building Company) of Philadelphia was founded in 1830 by William Cramp, and was the preeminent U.S. iron shipbuilder of the late 19th century.

Palmer Cemetery, originally known as the Kensington Burial Grounds, was established around 1732 in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia.The cemetery holds the remains of many of the original families of Kensington such as the Cramp and Shibe Families. There are veterans of every war buried here, beginning with the American Revolutionary War. There are markers for veterans of the American Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The cemetery is also home to one of the first memorials to local World War I Veterans (1921). The exact number of burials is unknown, but it is estimated that 40,000 to 50,000 people are buried in Palmer Cemetery. The cemetery is maintained by volunteer trustees who oversee its operation and preservation. Palmer Cemetery is a 501c3 Non profit. All donation are used for the care and preservation of the historic grounds.

The Green Tree Tavern, also known as the Marlborough Inn, is a historic building in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.The tavern had claimed to be the oldest operating tavern in Philadelphia, established in 1849, but is now closed. As of 2012, the property was occupied by a kick-boxing and martial arts studio.

ReAnimator Coffee is a Philadelphia-based coffee roaster and cafe chain. The company operates five cafes, in Fishtown, Kensington, South Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, and Port Richmond. and its roasting facilities are located in Kensington. The Kensington location opened in 2014. The owners also operate Philadelphia restaurant Res Ipsa and donut shop Hello Donuts, both of which serve ReAnimator Coffee. ReAnimator Coffee is a part of the third wave of coffee.

Rivers Casino Philadelphia, formerly SugarHouse Casino, is a casino entertainment development along the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's Fishtown neighborhood, one of five stand-alone casinos awarded a gaming license on December 20, 2006 by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

The H.W. Butterworth and Sons Company Building, now known as 2424 Studios, is an historic factory building which is located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010 and was converted into studios in 2011.

Daniel Boone School is a historic school building located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1926–1927. It is a four-story, eight bay brick building with a two-story center section in the Late Gothic Revival-style. It features an off-center entrance with arched limestone surround, decorative tile mosaic panels, and a decorative brick and tile cornice. It is named for frontiersman Daniel Boone (1734-1820). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
