Szob (Hungarian: Szobi járás) is a district in northern part of Pest County. Szob is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Central Hungary Statistical Region.

Szob (German: Zopp an der Donau) is a town in Pest county, Central Hungary, Hungary. It is just south and east of the Slovak border on the north bank of the Danube. Szob is on a major electrified rail connection from Bratislava and a major railway border crossing into Hungary. The border is located between Szob and Štúrovo. On 21 December 2007, all border controls ceased as Hungary and Slovakia became part of the Schengen Area. Wonkwangsa International Zen Temple (Chinese: 元光寺, Korean: 원광사, English: Temple of Original Light) is a Korean-tradition zen temple and monastery located in Búbánatvölgy, a valley near Esztergom, Hungary. The temple is currently run by the Abbot Chong An Sunim. There are lay residents living in the temple that perform various functions, such as Kitchen Master, Head Dharma-Teacher, Garden Master or Moktak Master. Fundraising for the project started in 2005. A considerable part of the donations are from Buddhist laypeople and temples from Korea. The purchase of the first parcels and the construction of the temple started in November, 2006 with a Master-beam Raising Ceremony of the Zen Hall. The building of the Zen Hall finished and the Foundation-Stone Ceremony of the new Buddha Hall was in April, 2010. The land owned by the temple (as of 2011) is about 2 ha (4.9 acres). The planned final size of the temple area is 5 ha (12 acres). The Zen Hall is built in traditional Korean architectural style. Wonkwangsa is the only architecturally traditional Korean temple in Europe.Wonkwangsa Temple has strong connections to the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. In 2020, the abbot and the temple joined the Taego Order of Korean Buddhism.

Zebegény is a picturesque historic village in Pest county, Hungary. It is located 60 km north of Budapest in the Danube Bend, next to the Duna-Ipoly National Park. It is a favourite destination for tourists, who love the quiet and the fresh air. Due to its nice beaches, mountains, and forests, the village was nicknamed "The marble of the Danube Bend".

The Hron (Slovak: Hron; German: Gran; Hungarian: Garam; Latin: Granus) is a 271-kilometre (168 mi) long left tributary of the Danube and the second-longest river in Slovakia. It flows from its source in the Low Tatra Mountains (below Kráľova hoľa) through central and southern Slovakia, emptying into the Danube near Štúrovo and Esztergom. Major cities and towns on the Hron are Brezno, Banská Bystrica, Sliač, Zvolen, Žiar nad Hronom, Žarnovica, Nová Baňa, Tlmače, Levice, Želiezovce, and Štúrovo. The river's basin covers 5,465 km2 (2,110 sq mi), which is approximately 11 percent of Slovakia's territory. Hron is a popular destination of water tourism.

Esztergom County (Latin: comitatus Stringoniensis, Hungarian: Esztergom (vár)megye, Slovak: Ostrihomský komitát / Ostrihomská stolica / Ostrihomská župa, German: Graner Gespanschaft / Komitat Gran) was an administrative county of the Kingdom of Hungary, situated on both sides of the Danube river. Its territory is now divided between Hungary and Slovakia. The territory to the north of the Danube is part of Slovakia, while the territory to the south of the Danube is part of Hungary.
