Kedleston Hall

All Saints' Church, Kedleston, is a redundant Anglican Church approx. 4 miles [6km] north-west of Derby, and all that remains of the medieval village of Kedleston, demolished in 1759 by Nathaniel Curzon to make way for the adjacent Kedleston Hall, a country house in Derbyshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. Kedleston Hall is owned by the National Trust, and the church is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Kedleston Hall has been occupied by the Curzon family for over 700 years.

Meynell Langley is a small area of settlement in Derbyshire, England. It is located between Kirk Langley and Kedleston. Meynell Langley Hall is the ancestral home of the Meynell family. In 2015 Godfrey Meynell who had been High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1982, and his son, placed a version of Grotto in the Gulf of Salerno by Joseph Wright in an auction at Sotheby's. It was one of the Wright paintings that were kept at Meynell Langley Hall. The money raised was to be donated to assist Syrian refugees in Greece. This painting had been in their family since 1840.

Mackworth Castle was a 14th- or 15th-century structure located in Derbyshire, at the upper end of Mackworth village near Derby. The home for several centuries of the Mackworth family, it was at some point reduced to the ruins of a gatehouse suggestive of a grand castle. A survey from 1911 suggested that though the gatehouse resembled a castle, the rest of the structure may have been more modest. The remains are part of a designated Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Mackworth is about two miles (3.2 km) from Derby and ten miles (16 km) from Ashbourne. It shares its name with the nearby Mackworth Estate in Derby.

Mackworth is a suburb and electoral ward of the city of Derby, England. Is it located on the north-west of the city near to Markeaton Park and the suburb of Mickleover. It is also known as Mackworth Estate, to distinguish it from the nearby Mackworth village. The Mackworth ward also covers the New Zealand area as well as Mackworth itself.

Quarndon is a linear village in the south of the Amber Valley District of Derbyshire, England. It is spread along four minor upland roads, approximately 1 mile north of the Derby suburb of Allestree, two of which lead towards the city. Many tourists throughout the 18th and early 19th centuries visited Quarndon's chalybeate springs within and next to its wellhouse. Many of these also sampled the waters of a geologically related spring in the grounds of its western neighbour, Kedleston Park and Hall, Kedleston – a village with a smaller population due to its few roads and single land-dominating estate which was once its manor. The lords of that manor equally held lands here and were significant patrons of the church, the early 19th century free school founded here and funded the construction of the village hall.

Derby County Women are an English women's football club affiliated with Derby County F.C. The first team currently play in the FA Women's National League North Division. In 2008–09 the club won promotion to the league from the Midland Combination Women's Football League, after beating Crewe 4–2 at Pride Park. In addition to the first team, the club runs a reserve team who compete within the national reserve team pyramid, and nine academy teams that compete in the Derbyshire Girls League and the Central Warwickshire Girls League. The club enjoys a strong working relationship with the Derby County Girls Regional Talent Centre, allowing a dedicated player pathway from youth football into the Derby County Women senior squads.

Mickleover Football Club is a football club based in the Mickleover suburb of Derby, Derbyshire, England. They are currently members of the Southern League Premier Division Central and play at Station Road. The club were formed as Mickleover Old Boys in 1948, before becoming Mickleover Sports in the 1990s. In 2020 the club dropped "Sports" from its name.
