Dedisse Park is a Denver Mountain Park located in Jefferson County, Colorado, USA. It was originally the scenic mountain ranch of 1860s pioneer Julius C. Dedisse; this 420 acres (1.7 km2) of land was awarded to the city of Denver in 1919 through a condemnation suit against the Dedisse family who received $25,000 in compensation for it. In 1927-28 Denver constructed the 35-foot (11 m) high Evergreen Dam as a flood control measure on the notoriously flood-prone Bear Creek, creating the 55-acre (220,000 m2) Evergreen Lake which became an instant hit with recreationists in summer and winter. Colorado's first mountain golf course, the Evergreen Golf Course, was constructed here in 1925, which features the rustic lodge Keys on the Green restaurant.

Evergreen High School is a public high school in the JEFFCO Public Schools district in Evergreen, Colorado, United States. Until Conifer High School opened in 1996, the school served students in both Evergreen and Conifer. Evergreen High School is known for being "a school of excellence" in its academic, athletic and extracurricular activities. Evergreen has won two Blue Ribbon Awards from the United States Department of Education in 2007 and 2015. The entirety of the Evergreen census-designated place is assigned to this school.

Evergreen Conference District is a music conference center in Jefferson County, Colorado, near Evergreen. It was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places on May 1, 1979. The district is located at Highway 74 along Bear Creek.

Hiwan Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course located in Evergreen, Colorado. The golf course is 7,097 yards from the back tees and is a par 70. The fairways are lined with ponderosa pines and Douglas firs and magnificent Bergen Peak provides an elegant background for nearly every hole. The greens at Hiwan are difficult with oscillations in elevation and steep drops. There are two water holes at Hiwan; the par-4 Number 7 is 450 yards long with a large pond protecting the green and the par-3 Number 12 is the most picturesque hole with a series of waterfalls and three sculpted bunkers. There also is a large practice facility that operates in the summer with a driving range, chipping green and a spacious putting green. It has a half-size Olympic sized pool, a water slide, 5 tennis courts, and locker rooms. The clubhouse was designed in the 1960s and has two restaurants: The Grill and the Hiwan Room. It also has a library, a pro shop and an exercise room with treadmill, elliptical, weights, and a weight machine. In the winter, with nearly 120 annual inches of snow, the course serves as a cross-country ski area with three varying trails.

Kittredge is an unincorporated town, a post office, and a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Kittredge post office has the ZIP code 80457. At the United States Census 2020, the population of the Kittredge CDP was 1,308.

Elk Meadow Park is a park and trail system in Evergreen, Colorado managed by Jefferson County Open Space. This program began acquiring these ranchlands in 1977 to create the extensive protected area, which is made larger by adjacent public lands. Contiguous to Elk Meadow Park on the west is Bergen Peak Park, a "conservation/wilderness" area that is part of the Denver Mountain Parks system. Through a cooperative effort between the two park management entities, the Too Long Trail in Elk Meadow Park continues to Bergen Peak, at 9,708 ft (2959 m). Noble Meadow, a conservation easement adjacent to Elk Meadow Park on the northwest along Squaw Pass Road, has no public access. The Bergen Peak Wildlife Area, managed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, is next to the Park's southwestern boundary.

The Bear Creek meteorite, formerly known as the Colorado meteorite, is an octahedrite meteorite that was found in 1866 in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. It has a mass of 226.7 kg (500 lb) and average dimensions of 350 mm × 250 mm × 11 mm (13.78 in × 9.84 in × 0.43 in).

Bergen Park is a park near Evergreen, Colorado. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. Bergen Park was established in 1859 when pioneer settler Thomas Cunningham Bergen built a log cabin on his land and named his property.

The Everhardt Ranch, located in southeast of Evergreen, Colorado, dates from 1867. A portion of the ranch with three of its historic buildings was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.It was deemed "significant for its associations with Johnny Everhardt and Gus and Marie Herzman, pioneer settlers in the Evergreen area, and for its architectural features which reflect the characteristic features of an early Colorado mountain ranch."It is located about .25 miles (0.40 km) southeast of the junction of Lone Peak Drive and North Mountain Park Rd., northeast of Evergreen Highlands and west of High Dr., about 4 miles (6.4 km) southeast of Evergreen.Its nomination was written in cooperation with Hiwan Homestead Museum.

The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the Genesee CDP was 3,610 at the United States Census 2020. The Golden post office (Zip code 80401) serves the area.

Genesee Park is a park in Jefferson County, Colorado. It is the largest park in the Denver Mountain Parks system, with a total of 2,413 acres (9.77 km2). The land for Genesee Park was initially purchased in 1912 and the park area was largely complete by 1926. The park contains two mountains, Genesee Mountain at 8,284 feet (2,525 m) above sea level and Bald Mountain at 7,988 feet (2,435 m) above sea level. The park also contains forests of ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, and lodgepole pine. Interstate 70 traverses the park between exits 252 and 254 along the Lariat Loop Scenic & Historic Byway. On I-70 just west of exit 254, there are scenic overlooks for both directions for viewing the historic Bison herd, which live on maintained pastures on the north and south sides of I-70. The park's bison herd is owned by the City and County of Denver. Some of the original bison were acquired from Yellowstone National Park by the Denver Zoo and the City of Denver as early leaders in the conservation of bison. The bison herd moved here in 1914 and was expanded to Daniels Park in 1938. Thirty five bison were distributed to Native American tribes in 2023.Chief Hosa Lodge, designed by Jacques Benedict, was built in 1918. A historical point of interest near Exit 253, it is used as an event facility. The nearby Chief Hosa Campground serves recreational travelers each year between May and September. A large stone picnic shelter near Genesee Mountain was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1939. There is a "Braille trail" area with signs and guide ropes.
