Rolando Park is a neighborhood on the eastern edge of San Diego, California. It is bordered by College Avenue to the west, California State Route 94 to the south, the city of La Mesa to the east and University Avenue to the north. Rolando Park borders the San Diego neighborhoods of Rolando, Redwood Village, and Oak Park. Rolando Park is a largely residential neighborhood, and was principally developed during the 1950s with tract housing. Rolando Park is a hilly neighborhood, a characteristic it shares with other neighborhoods in the area. The hills separate the residential areas from commercial areas along University Avenue.

Will C. Crawford High School, also known as Crawford High School and formerly Crawford Educational Complex, is a high school located in the El Cerrito neighborhood of San Diego, California United States. In the fall of 2012, the school was reorganized as a traditional school with one principal and two vice principals, and returned to its original name, Will C. Crawford High School. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,119 students and 48.54 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 23:05:1. There were 931 students (20.19% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 81 (7.24% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.It is part of the San Diego Unified School District. Erected in 1957 and dedicated in 1958, it is a comprehensive school serving 1,500 students in grades 9–12.

Broadway Heights is a small community in the southeastern section of the city of San Diego. It is bordered on the north, east, and west by Lemon Grove, and on the south by Encanto and Mallard Street. Weston Street was renamed to Martin Luther King Jr. Way (after the civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.) due to a youth campaign, marking the first time a street in San Diego was named after him.

The College Area is a residential community in the Mid-City region of San Diego, California, United States. The College Area is dominated by San Diego State University (SDSU; once known as San Diego State College), after which the area is named. Several neighborhoods in the College Area were developed in the 1930s, with others becoming established in the post-war period. The College Area is bordered on the west by Kensington and Talmadge and on the east by the city of La Mesa. El Cajon Boulevard is a busy shopping district; additional retail, entertainment and dining establishments are located in a new housing and commercial complex known as South Campus Plaza on College Avenue at Aztec Center. KCR College Radio is an American online radio station. Located on the campus of San Diego State University (SDSU), it was established in 1969 as a student-run alternative to the educational radio station that would become KPBS.

SDSU Transit Center is a station on San Diego Trolley's Green Line. The station is underground (the only such station in the system) and has side platforms. The station is located in the Aztec Green on the south portion of the campus of San Diego State University. The station entrances are between College Avenue and Campanile Drive. The station is very popular with students and staff who commute to the university because of the high cost and low availability of parking around campus.
