The Château du Sart is a château in the Sart-Babylone quarter of Villeneuve d'Ascq, the Nord department of France.

Croix (French pronunciation: [kʁwa] (listen); Picard: Crox) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. It is located northeast of the city of Lille about 7 km (4.3 mi) from the centre. The headquarters of Auchan, a hypermarket chain, are located in Croix.

The Palais Vaissier (also called the Château Vassier or Palais du Congo), was a large Orientalist mansion in Tourcoing, Nord, (France), which served as the distinctive home of industrialist Victor Vaissier. It was designed by French architect Édouard Dupire-Rozan and built in 1891–92, but was demolished in 1929. Two of its outbuildings, the residences of its concierge and the gardener, have been preserved, however, and can be viewed today from the street.

Villa Cavrois in Croix is a large modernist mansion built in 1932 by French architect Robert Mallet-Stevens for Paul Cavrois, an industrialist from Roubaix active in the textile industry.

The Château de Flers (French pronunciation: ​[ʃato də flɛʁs]) is a château located in Villeneuve d'Ascq, in the Nord department of France. It hosts the Château de Flers museum and the tourism office of Villeneuve d'Ascq city. The château is named after a former nearby village of Flers-lez-Lille.

Marcq-en-Barœul (French pronunciation: ​[maʁk ɑ̃ baʁœl]; Picard: Marke-in-Bareul; older Dutch: Marke) is a commune in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region in northern France.It is a suburb of the city of Lille, and is immediately adjacent to it on the northeast. It is the sixth-largest component of the Métropole Européenne de Lille. Marcq-en-Barœul is known as the most affluent suburb city of Lille, it is part of the 'Triangle d'or' (Golden triangle) of Lille. It features expensive real estate, especially alongside the Grand Boulevard and Hippodrome des Flandres racecourse. The city is also home to one of the campuses of the elite international private collège and lycée active bilingue Jeannine-Manuel.

The Lille Métropole Museum of Modern, Contemporary and Outsider Art (LaM), formerly known as Villeneuve d'Ascq Museum of Modern Art, is an art museum in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France. With more than 4,500 artworks on a 4,000-square-metre (43,000 sq ft) exhibition area, the LaM is the only museum in Europe to present simultaneously the main components of the 20th and 21st centuries art : modern art, contemporary art and outsider art. LaM's holdings include some masterpieces of Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, Joan Miró, Georges Braque, Fernand Léger, Alexander Calder and the biggest outsider art collection in France. LaM possesses also a library and a rich park of sculptures. Flers-lez-Lille (French pronunciation: ​[flɛʁs le lil], literally Flers near Lille) is a former commune in the Nord department in northern France, merged into Villeneuve-d'Ascq in 1970.

Mons-en-Barœul (French pronunciation: ​[mɔ̃s ɑ̃ baʁœl]) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France.It is a suburb of the city of Lille, and is adjacent to it on the northeast. The name Mons-en-Barœul means mount in the Barœul, the city is built on a slight hill; the Barœul was a former territory (see also Marcq-en-Barœul). Before the sixteenth century, little is known of this county, which was only rural. Plans of the eighteenth century show Mons-en-Barœul as a small village without a church, with farms scattered along the high road from Lille to Roubaix. It is a former dependency of Fives, a district which is now part of Lille.
