Coombe Bissett

Homington and Coombe Bissett Downs (grid reference SU104245) is a 25.0 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, notified in 1971. Coombe Bissett Downs is managed as a nature reserve by Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

It stands on the south bank of the River Ebble, accessed from the north down a lane, across the river and up a bank.It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a Grade I listed building, and is a redundant church, in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust since 1986.

Stratford Toney Down (grid reference SU095246) is a 23.1 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, England, which was notified in 1987. The site lies in a shallow dry valled in the south of Stratford Tony parish, about 5 miles (7.5 km) south-west of Salisbury. It is important for the botanically rich chalk grassland – mainly sheep's fescue and meadow oat-grass – which supports several nationally rare plant and butterfly species.

River Avon System is a 475.9-hectare (1,176-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Hampshire and Wiltshire, southern England. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade I. It is part of the Avon Valley and New Forest Ramsar sites and is also part of two Special Protection Areas: Solent and Southampton Water, and the New Forest.This site consists of stretches of the River Avon and its tributaries, which are described by Natural England as "of national and international importance for their wildlife communities". It has more than 180 species of aquatic plants and one of the most diverse fish species in the country. There is also a rich invertebrate fauna and mammals include water voles and water shrews.

The site is now commonly used by BMX and MTB enthusiasts as a place to exercise their skill on the many formed jumps.

Bemerton Rectory is a Grade II* listed rectory in Lower Road in the Bemerton suburb of Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. It dates from 1470. It was the home of George Herbert, who died there in 1633. Indian novelist and poet Vikram Seth currently resides in the house, having bought and renovated it in 1996.
