The 2008 WGC-CA Championship was a golf tournament that was contested from March 20–23 at Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida. It was the ninth WGC-CA Championship tournament, and the second of three World Golf Championships events held in 2008. Geoff Ogilvy won the tournament to capture his second World Golf Championships title. Tiger Woods was the 3-time defending champion but finished in 5th place.

The 2009 WGC-CA Championship was a golf tournament that was contested from March 12–15 at Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida. It was the tenth WGC-CA Championship tournament, and the second of four World Golf Championships events staged in 2009. Phil Mickelson won the tournament to capture his first World Golf Championships title.

The 2007 WGC-CA Championship was a golf tournament that was contested from March 22–25 over the Blue Monster Course at Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida. It was the eighth WGC-CA Championship tournament, and the second of three World Golf Championships events held in 2007. It was the first tournament under the sponsorship of CA, Inc. and took the place of the Ford Championship at Doral on the PGA Tour schedule. World number 1 Tiger Woods was the two-time defending champion and won the tournament to capture his third consecutive and sixth overall WGC-CA Championship and his 13th World Golf Championships title. This was the second time Woods captured three consecutive titles at the same WCG event (he also won NEC Invitational from 1999−2001). Later in 2007, Woods would win a third consecutive WGC-Bridgestone Invitational title (formerly known as the NEC Invitational). Geoff Ogilvy and Dustin Johnson are the only other players in WGC history to win at least three WGC titles.

It was the eleventh WGC-CA Championship tournament, and the second of four World Golf Championships events staged in 2010. The only players eligible to compete who did not enter were six-time champion Tiger Woods (on an indefinite break from golf) and Ryo Ishikawa (graduating from high school).Ernie Els, the 2004 champion, won his second WGC title with a bogey-free 66 (−6) in the final round, four strokes ahead of runner-up Charl Schwartzel, the 54-hole co-leader with Els.

The 2015 WGC-Cadillac Championship was a golf tournament played March 5–8 on the TPC Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral in Doral, Florida, a suburb west of Miami. It was the 16th WGC-Cadillac Championship tournament, and the first of the World Golf Championships events to be staged in 2015. The tournament was won by Dustin Johnson.

The 2014 WGC-Cadillac Championship was a golf tournament played March 6–9 on the TPC Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral in Doral, Florida, a suburb west of Miami. It was the 15th WGC-Cadillac Championship tournament, and the second of the World Golf Championships events to be staged in 2014. Patrick Reed won his first WGC event and became the youngest WGC champion at age 23.

It was the 12th WGC-Cadillac Championship tournament, the second of four World Golf Championships events staged in 2011. Cadillac replaced CA Technologies as the title sponsor.Nick Watney shot a final round 67 (−5) to win his first WGC event, two strokes ahead of runner-up Dustin Johnson.

The 2012 WGC-Cadillac Championship was a golf tournament played from March 8–11 on the TPC Blue Monster course at Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida, a suburb west of Miami. It was the 13th WGC-Cadillac Championship tournament, and the second of the World Golf Championships events to be staged in 2012. Justin Rose won his first WGC event, one stroke ahead of runner-up Bubba Watson, the 54-hole leader. Watson rebounded and won his first Masters the following month.

The 2013 WGC-Cadillac Championship was a golf tournament played March 7–10 on the TPC Blue Monster course at Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida, a suburb west of Miami. It was the 14th WGC-Cadillac Championship tournament, and the second of the World Golf Championships events to be staged in 2013. Tiger Woods won with a score of 19-under-par, two strokes ahead of runner-up Steve Stricker. It was the seventh time Woods had won the event and was his 17th WGC victory.

The 2016 WGC-Cadillac Championship was a golf tournament which was played March 3–6 on the TPC Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral in Doral, Florida, a suburb west of Miami. It was the 17th WGC-Cadillac Championship tournament, the first of the World Golf Championships events in 2016, and the final edition of the tournament played in Doral. The tournament was won by Adam Scott.

The Doral Open was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour in the southeastern United States. It was played annually for 45 seasons, from 1962 to 2006, on the "Blue Monster" course at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida, a suburb west of Miami. The introduction of the FedEx Cup in 2007 caused a change in the PGA Tour schedule. The WGC-CA Championship, a World Golf Championship event co-sponsored by the PGA Tour, moved from October to March and took the Doral Open's spot on the schedule. This championship was also held at the Blue Monster course for the next decade; it was renamed the WGC-Cadillac Championship in 2011 and continued at Doral through 2016. The resort was sold in 2012 and became Trump National Doral Miami. The PGA Tour Latinoamérica development tour will host the season-ending Shell Championship in December 2018 on the Golden Palm course to continue the PGA Tour's tradition of hosting at Doral.
