Seaborough

St John's Church is a Church of England church in Seaborough, Dorset, England. Much of the church dates to a rebuild of 1882 and it now forms part of the Beaminster Area Team Ministry. The church is a Grade II listed building.

St. Mary's Church is a Church of England church in Drimpton, West Dorset, England. The church opened in 1867 and now forms part of the Beaminster Area Team Ministry.

Drimpton is a village in the English county of Dorset, situated approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) northwest of Beaminster and 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southwest of Crewkerne in Somerset. It lies within the civil parish of Broadwindsor. Drimpton is sited on a small tributary of the River Axe which was unnamed until 2005 when, after a vote by villagers, it was officially named the "Little Axe". Neighbouring settlements include Clapton, Seaborough, Blackdown, Kittwhistle, Broadwindsor, Burstock, Greenham and Netherhay, the latter two being small hamlets virtually contiguous with Drimpton. At Greenham there was once a flax mill, part of which still survives. Three books, chronicling life in the area, have recently been compiled; the project was called 'Village Voices'. Netherhay Bridge, which carries Crewkerne Road over the River Axe, was built by J & D Gale of Allington and is dated 1829. The village's single-span bridge, which forms part of the B3162 road, was built in 2003. The former Drimpton Toll House is located on Bridport Road (B3162).

Netherhay Methodist Chapel is a Methodist Chapel in Netherhay, near Drimpton, West Dorset, England. The chapel remains active as part of the South Petherton and Crewkerne Methodist Circuit. The chapel has been a Grade II listed building since 1984.The chapel was built with "dressed stone walls on a chert rubble-stone base". It has a slate roof, which includes some carved wooden barge-boards, added in 1898. A burial ground was established alongside the chapel.

West Bay Methodist Church is a former Methodist chapel at West Bay, West Dorset, England. Opened in 1849, the chapel was locally known as "the chapel on the beach". It closed in 2007 and was transformed into the West Bay Discovery Centre in 2018. The former chapel has been Grade II listed since 1975.

Clapton Mill is a former watermill located in the hamlet of Clapton, West Crewkerne, Somerset, England. The existing mill dates back to the 18th century, but was extensively rebuilt in 1864. An earlier mill has existed on the same site since the 13th century. The mill, along with its aqueduct, has been Grade II* Listed since 1987, primarily for the surviving machinery which dates back to the 19th century rebuild.

Burstock is a village and civil parish in west Dorset, England, 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Crewkerne. In the 2011 census the parish had 59 dwellings, 49 households and a population of 120.In 1086 Burstock was recorded in the Domesday Book as 'Bureuuinestoch', meaning a farm ('stoc') owned by either 'Burgwine' (a man) or 'Burgwynn' (a woman). It had 12 households, 8 acres of meadow and 3 ploughlands. It was in Whitchurch Canonicorum Hundred, the lord was William Malbank and the tenant-in-chief was Earl Hugh of Chester.Before the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the mid 16th century, Burstock was closely associated with the Cistercian monks at nearby Forde Abbey; at Whetham, in the north of the parish, the abbey developed a mill, and in 1316 the Abbot became Burstock's lord of the manor.

Conegar Hill is a prominent rise, 214 metres (702 ft) high, just north of the village of Broadwindsor in the Yeovil Scarplands, in the county of Dorset in southern England. It has a prominence of 51 metres (167 ft) which classifies it as one of the Tumps.The actual summit is unwooded and bounded to the east and west by tributaries of the River Axe and to the south by the Broadwindsor col to Waddon Hill. To the north is Blagdon Hill, a subsummit on the same ridge. The B3164 from Broadwindsor crosses the southeastern flank of Conegar Hill to join the A 3066 at Whetley Cross 2 kilometres to the northeast. A small lane, branches off northwards across the western side of the hill.The name "Conegar" derives from the early Medieval English term "cony-garth" literally meaning rabbit yard. The name was chosen as the hill was possibly the remnants of an ancient man-made pillow mound, used for raising rabbits or because of the close resemblance to a pillow mound.

Seaborough Hill is a prominent ridge, 204 metres (669 ft) high, on the Dorset-Somerset border in the Yeovil Scarplands in southwestern England. It has a prominence of 80 metres (260 ft) which classifies it as one of the Tumps.Seaborough Hill rises immediately north of the village of Seaborough and about 3 kilometres southwest of the town centre of Crewkerne. A minor road traverses the summit from north to south and there is a trig point (201 m) by the lane at the northern end of the summit ridge, near Honeydown Farm. There are scattered woods on the western and eastern flanks of the hill. The River Axe runs past the hill to the south and two major trails - Liberty Trail and Monarch's Way bypass it to the north and south respectively. The county boundary runs along the ridgeline before swinging around the northern spur of the hill and heading away to the southeast.

Conegar Road Cutting (grid reference ST439028) is a 0.15 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Dorset, notified in 1996.
