Abad Santos station

R. Papa station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station serves Tondo in Manila and is located on Rizal Avenue Extension in Barangay Obrero, Tondo. The station is named after Ricardo Papa Street. The station is the first station in Rizal Avenue Extension going north and the last station in the city of Manila. R. Papa station serves as the fifth station for Line 1 trains headed to Baclaran and as the sixteenth station for trains headed to Roosevelt.

5th Avenue station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located on Rizal Avenue Extension at the boundaries of Grace Park East and Grace Park West in Caloocan. The station is located above the avenue's intersection with 5th Avenue (C-3), where the station got its name. 5th Avenue station serves as the fourth station for Line 1 trains headed to Baclaran, the seventeenth station for trains headed to Roosevelt, and is one of the two Line 1 stations serving Caloocan, the other being Monumento station.

The Manila Chinese Cemetery (simplified Chinese: 华侨义山; traditional Chinese: 華僑義山; pinyin: Huáqiáo Yìshān; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Hôa-kiâo Gī-san; lit. 'Overseas Chinese Cemetery'; Spanish: Cementerío para chinos) is the second oldest cemetery in Manila after La Loma Cemetery. The cemetery includes Christian, Buddhist and Taoist burials. The present-day cemetery is a vaguely trapezoidal area of about 54 hectares (130 acres) with an irregular network of roads its old pre-war part along Rizal Avenue Extension, reflecting its gradual evolution and expansion. Meanwhile, the post-war portion has three major roads bisected by minor roads, aligned NW to SE. Matandang Sora, coming from the main entrance in Felix Huertas going towards Chong Hock Temple, is the main road today. Before the Pacific War the main entrances faced Avenida Rizal. This northwestern is the oldest and most historically significant part of the cemetery. The cemetery was witness to many executions during World War II. Among them were Girl Scouts organizer Josefa Llanes Escoda, Filipino Brigadier General and hero during World War II and Boy Scouts of the Philippines charter member Vicente Lim, literary geniuses Rafael Roces and Manuel Arguilla, star athlete-turned-guerrilla spy Virgilio Lobregat, and Chinese Consul General Yang Guangsheng. Apolinario Mabini was also buried in the cemetery before his remains were transferred to Batangas on July 23, 1956.

Solis station is a railway station located on the North Main Line in the city of Manila, Philippines. After being abandoned for 20 years, and after nearly 10 years since the station's reconstruction, PNR reopened the Solis Station as part of Caloocan-Dela Rosa line, on August 1, 2018.Due to nearly a decade of disuse since its rehabilitation, the station has been weathered and its gate barriers have been vandalized, and in the case of its westbound barrier, dismantled and possibly stolen. It did not have running electricity until after its reactivation. This station was closed to rail traffic on 1997. On 2009, the station's new platforms were constructed but it was never opened until 2018 where it is once again active with the launching of the Caloocan-Dela Rosa shuttle line.

Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) (simplified Chinese: 中华崇仁总医院暨医学中心; traditional Chinese: 中華崇仁總醫院暨醫學中心; pinyin: Zhōnghuá Chóngrénzǒng Yīyuàn jì Yīxué Zhōngxīn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tiong-hoâ Chiông-lîn-chóng I-īⁿ kap I-ha̍k Tiong-sim), also known as the Chinese General Hospital, is a district general hospital and teaching hospital in Manila, Philippines. It is one of the oldest hospitals in the Philippines, founded during the Spanish occupation of the country from donations of Chinese immigrants. The hospital's operations is supported by the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association (PCCA), founded in 1878 when the Chinese community was established in Manila.

The Manila North Cemetery (Spanish: Cementerio del Norte) is one of the oldest cemeteries in Metro Manila, Philippines. The cemetery is owned by and located in the City of Manila, the national capital, and is one of the largest in the metropolis at 54 hectares (130 acres). It is located alongside Andrés Bonifacio Avenue and borders two other important cemeteries: the La Loma Cemetery and the Manila Chinese Cemetery. Numerous impoverished families notably inhabit some of the mausoleums.

Blumentritt station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station serves the districts of Tondo, Santa Cruz, and Sampaloc in Manila. The station itself is located near Blumentritt Road, which the station was named after. The street itself is named to honor Bohemian professor Ferdinand Blumentritt, one of José Rizal's closest associates and a sympathizer of the Propaganda Movement. With the ongoing construction of NLEX Connector (previously known as NLEX-SLEX Connector Road, the station was built below the elevated expressway. Blumentritt station serves as the seventh station for Line 1 trains headed to Baclaran, the fourteenth station for trains headed to Roosevelt, and is one of the five Line 1 stations serving Santa Cruz District, the others being Tayuman, Bambang, Doroteo Jose, and Carriedo. It is the second-to last station on Rizal Avenue before the line shifts to Rizal Avenue Extension at Abad Santos station. Blumentritt station is one of the blast locations where a bomb exploded in a train cab on December 30, 2000, as part of the Rizal Day bombings that caused 22 fatalities and around 100 injuries.

The Chinese General Hospital Colleges is a medical university located in Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1921 as the Chinese General Hospital School of Nursing (CGHSN). It is owned and managed by the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association (PCCA) Inc. as a non-profit service organization. In 2012 the College began to offer courses such as Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, BS in Psychology, BS in Radiologic Technology and Diploma in Midwifery. In 2017 it opened the College of Medicine, which incorporates Traditional Chinese Medicine in its curriculum.

Blumentritt station is a railway station located on the South Main Line in the city of Manila, Philippines. It derives its name from nearby Blumentritt Road, which is named after the Bohemian professor Ferdinand Blumentritt, a friend of José Rizal and sympathizer of the Filipino cause. The station is the second station southbound from Tutuban. Blumentritt station is one of four stations whose original platforms have been retained for service. However, it is unique in the sense that the new platforms designed to accommodate new PNR diesel multiple units are not connected to the station's original platforms, unlike solutions employed at stations such as España, where the new platforms are directly connected to the original ones. The old platforms are still used to accommodate Commuter Express locomotives and especially intercity trains.

Florentino Torres High School, commonly known as Torres High School (THS), is located in Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila, Philippines. It is one of the oldest public schools in Metro Manila.

In early Philippine history, the Tagalog settlement at Tondo (Tagalog: [tunˈdo]; Baybayin: ᜆᜓᜈ᜔ᜇᜓ) was a major trade hub located on the northern part of the Pasig River delta, on Luzon island. Together with Maynila, the polity (bayan) that was also situated on the southern part of the Pasig River delta, had established a shared monopoly on the trade of Chinese goods throughout the rest of the Philippine archipelago, making it an established force in trade throughout Southeast Asia and East Asia.Tondo is of particular interest to Filipino historians and historiographers because it is one of the oldest historically documented settlements in the Philippines. Scholars generally agree that it was mentioned in the Laguna Copperplate Inscription, the Philippines oldest extant locally produced written document, dating back to 900 A.D.Following contact with the Spanish Empire beginning in 1570 and the defeat of local rulers in the Manila Bay area in 1571, Tondo was ruled from Intramuros, a Spanish fort built on the remains of the Manila polity. Tondo's absorption into the Spanish Empire effectively ended its status as an independent political entity; it now exists as a district of the modern City of Manila.

Abad Santos Avenue is a major north–south arterial road located in the district of Tondo in northern Manila, Philippines. It is a divided roadway with four lanes in each direction running through the eastern edge of Tondo from the intersection with Rizal Avenue near the Manila Chinese Cemetery at its north end to Recto Avenue near the Tutuban railway station at the district boundary of Tondo and Binondo at the south.
