Valor Christian Academy is a private transitional kindergarten through middle grades Christian school in Redondo Beach, California, in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It was previously known as Coast Christian School but received its current name in September 2012. It was affiliated with the Assemblies of God.

Total Access Recording is a recording studio located in Redondo Beach, California, owned and operated by founder Wyn Davis and Steve Ornest. Total Access opened for business in December 1980. The first clients of the studio were bands signed with SST Records, whose owner Greg Ginn had made a "bulk recording deal" with Davis. Renowned producer Ken Scott is also a client of the studio.

Creators Syndicate (also known as Creators) is an American independent distributor of comic strips and syndicated columns to daily newspapers, websites, and other digital outlets. When founded in 1987, Creators Syndicate became one of the few successful independent syndicates founded since the 1930s and was the first syndicate to allow cartoonists ownership rights to their work. Creators Syndicate is based in Hermosa Beach, California.

Redondo Union High School (RUHS) is a public high school in Redondo Beach, California. Redondo Union High School is a part of the Redondo Beach Unified School District. All residents of Redondo Beach are zoned to Redondo Union. In addition, residents of Hermosa Beach may choose to attend Redondo Union or Mira Costa High School of the Manhattan Beach Unified School District.Since opening in 1905, Redondo Union High School has developed into the second largest high school campus in the State of California, with an overall area of 56 acres (230,000 m2).

The Diamond Apartments are an apartment building located at 321 Diamond St. in Redondo Beach, California. Built in 1913 by Harry Meacham, the apartment complex was the first commercial building in the surrounding neighborhood. Architect Lovell Pemberton designed the Classical Revival building. The first floor of the building held commercial space; early businesses in the building included a furniture store, a laundromat, and a paint store. Developers demolished all but three of Redondo Beach's downtown commercial buildings in the 1960s, leaving the apartment complex as the city's second-oldest standing commercial building and the oldest which has maintained its historic integrity.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 26, 1992.

West High School is a public high school in Torrance, California, United States. The mascot is the Warrior. It is a part of the Torrance Unified School District.

Mira Costa High School (MCHS, "Costa") is a four-year public high school located in Manhattan Beach, California that first opened 1950. It is the only high school in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. The school's athletic teams are known as the Mustangs and the school colors are green and gold. Mira Costa is located on the corner of Peck Avenue and Artesia Boulevard.

The Old Salt Lake, also called Lake Salinas, was a historic site in coastal Southern California where sea salt was harvested for barter or sale. Old Salt Lake was a large pond that was 600 ft (180 m) by 1,800 ft (550 m), fed by a natural spring. The lake was 600 ft (180 m) from what is now the Redondo Beach seashore at an elevation of about 10 ft (3.0 m).

The school district consists of eight elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, one continuation school, and one adult school. RBUSD serves the city of Redondo Beach. In addition, residents of Hermosa Beach may choose to attend Redondo Union High School of RBUSD or the Mira Costa High School of the Manhattan Beach Unified School District.

Bishop Montgomery High School (commonly referred to as "BMHS" or simply "Bishop" by students) is a Catholic high school serving twenty-five parishes in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. BMHS was founded in 1957, and staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Conventual Franciscans, and lay faculty. The 24-acre (97,000 m2) campus is located in Torrance, California, in southwest Los Angeles County, one mile (1.6 km) from the Pacific Ocean and the Del Amo Mall. The coeducational student body is approximately 900 students in grades 9 through 12, making BMHS the sixth largest private high school in Los Angeles County. The school is named for the first American-born Bishop of Monterey-Los Angeles, the Most Reverend George Thomas Montgomery. As the ordinary of the diocese from 1896 to 1902, Bishop Montgomery demanded that government recognize the right of parents to send their children to schools of their choice.BMHS is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and offers a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum combined with Christian values. Advanced Placement courses are offered in all major subjects, and 98 percent of graduates pursue higher education.

The Woman's Club of Redondo Beach is part of the California Federation of Women's Clubs (CFWC) and was founded in 1908. Included in the Mission Statement of the Woman's Club of Redondo Beach is the care and preservation of their Clubhouse which was built in 1922 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Hermosa Beach (Hermosa, Spanish for "Beautiful") is a beachfront city in Los Angeles County in the U.S. state of California, United States. Its population was 19,728 at the 2020 U.S. Census. The city is located in the South Bay region of the Greater Los Angeles area; it is one of the three Beach Cities. Hermosa Beach is bordered by the other two, Manhattan Beach to the north and Redondo Beach to the south and east. The city's beach is popular for sunbathing, beach volleyball, surfing, paddleboarding, bars, cycling and running. The city itself extends only about 15 blocks from east to west and 40 blocks from north to south, with Pacific Coast Highway running down the middle. Situated on the Pacific Ocean, Hermosa's average temperature is 70 °F (22 °C) in the summer and 55 °F (13 °C) in the winter. Westerly sea breezes lessen what can be high summertime temperatures in Los Angeles and elsewhere in the county and help keep the smog away 360 days of the year. A paved path, called The Strand, runs along Hermosa's beach from Torrance Beach in the south approximately twenty miles north to Santa Monica. The Hermosa Beach Pier is at the end of Pier Avenue, which is one of the beach community's main shopping, dining and entertainment areas.
