Bincombe

Holy Trinity Church is a Church of England parish church in Bincombe, Dorset, England. The church has late 12th-century origins, with later additions and a restoration of 1865. It is a Grade I listed building.

Chalbury Hill And Quarry (grid reference SY694838) is an 11.9 hectare biological and geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Dorset, England, notified in 1977. The site consists of grassland (10.3 hectare) and a disused limestone quarry (1.6 hectare). The SSSI includes the area covered by Chalbury Hill Fort.

Littlemoor is a suburb of Weymouth in Dorset, England. Littlemoor is about 2 miles (3 km) to the north of the town centre. The nearest railway station is Upwey 0.5 miles (0.8 km) to the west. During World War I, the Littlemoor area was used as an Australian army camp. For this reason many of the roads in the area today are named after towns and cities in Australia. Littlemoor has a skatepark, youth centre and a small shopping centre. Opposite the shopping centre there is a Library; next to which is a small green, and the local Church of England church - St. Francis of Assisi. There is also a community centre where the lottery run Big4littlemoor community groups operates out of off and a youth club. Littlemoor is partially surrounded by fields. It has a woodland area (which has been named Teddy Bear woods, referencing to the famous nursery rhyme) managed by Dorset Wildlife Trust, part of their Lorton Meadows nature reserve. Littlemoor has a high level of deprivation and poverty but this has decreased in recent years as the estate has expanded. The estate is historically a labour stronghold and has been represented by labour councillors since it was created in 2004 with Cllr Mark Tewkesbury (Labour) serving since its creation. Since the move to a unitary council it has been represented by Cllr Tony Ferrari (Conservative) and Cllr Louie O'Leary as part of the Littlemoor and Preston ward.

Upwey Wishing Well Halt was a railway station at Bincombe in the county of Dorset in England. It served the northern part of the village of Upwey, now a suburb of Weymouth, on what is now known as the Heart of Wessex Line and the South West Main Line.

The United Reformed Church (originally known as the Congregational Chapel) is a former United Reformed Church in Upwey, Dorset, England. It was built in 1880–81 and closed in 1992, with the building now under private ownership.

The Ridgeway Hill Viking burial pit at Ridgeway Hill near Weymouth, Dorset, was a mass grave of 54 skeletons, including 51 skulls, of Scandinavian men executed some time between AD 970 and 1025. The men are believed to have been Vikings executed by local Anglo-Saxons. The dismembered skeletons were discovered by archaeologists in June 2009, and their identity and approximate ages were later confirmed by forensic analyses. Although the immediate circumstances of the deaths is unknown, the event occurred at a time of conflict between the native Anglo-Saxons and Viking invaders, and it has been suggested that the Vikings had been captured during an attempted raid into Anglo-Saxon territory. There is a possibility it could be linked to the St. Brice's Day massacre order of 1002. It is suggested that the 'Oxford Massacre' was not an isolated incident and could have been part of a kingdom-wide order to eradicate the Vikings.

Broadwey was a former village in the northern suburbs of Weymouth, Dorset, England. It lies on the B3159 road. In 2001, Broadwey and Upwey ward had a population of 4,349. St Nicholas' Church serves the suburb, as did Broadwey Methodist Church until 2021.

Preston is a coastal village and suburb of Weymouth in south Dorset, England. It is approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-east of Weymouth town centre and 2 kilometres (1 mi) west of the village of Osmington. Preston contains two Haven campsites, Seaview and Weymouth Bay. It is home to a 14th-century church, St Andrew's, which was built on the site of a much earlier Norman church. It has three public houses: The Bridge Inn (formerly called The Swan), The Spice Ship and The Springhead. On the coast is the beach resort of Bowleaze Cove. Preston has a village hall, used for many local groups including the local pantomime group.
