Kankakee River State Park

Rock Creek is a 24.7-mile-long (39.8 km) tributary of the Kankakee River in the U.S. state of Illinois. It empties into the Kankakee River in Kankakee River State Park, northwest of Kankakee, Illinois. It starts in higher land and then drops into the Kankakee River Valley. Because of this, the river has cut through the rock, forming a gorge, most of which is in the state park. A trail in the park follows the creek. The Rock Creek waterfall is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) upstream from the main entrance of the state park and is on land owned by Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see, a private youth camp. The cliffs reach as much as 80 feet (24 m) high in the area from the park entrance to the falls. The stream is a very popular smallmouth bass fishing destination for many northern and central area Illinois residents. Twice per year, the Illinois DNR stocks trout in the creek as well, creating an opportunity for spin or fly fishing.

Little Rock Village was a Native American village of the Potawatomi people located on the north bank of the Kankakee River, at a site close to the current boundary between Kankakee and Will counties of the state of Illinois in the United States. The location now lies within the present-day Kankakee River State Park, close to the mouth of Rock Creek on Kankakee River.

Rockville Township is one of seventeen townships in Kankakee County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 879 and it contained 326 housing units. It was formerly a township of Will County until Kankakee County was created. The township's name may have been derived from a Potawatomi village known to the pioneers as Rock Village.

Ritchie is an unincorporated community in southern Will County, Illinois, United States. It is located along Forked Creek and Illinois Route 102, three miles southeast of the city of Wilmington in Wesley Township. Ritchie is home to several dozen houses, the Wesley Township hall, a church, a grain elevator, and the house of the founder of Ritchie. His house is located at the eastern entry into Ritchie along Illinois Route 102. A railroad track passing through the community was dismantled in the 1990s, but the bridge that carried it over Forked Creek and Route 102 remains.

Limestone is a village in Limestone Township, Kankakee County, Illinois, United States. It was incorporated in 2006 and had a population of 1,598 at the 2010 census.The village is part of the Kankakee–Bradley Metropolitan Statistical Area, which comprises all of Kankakee County.

Ballou is an unincorporated community in southern Will County, Illinois, United States. It is located three miles southeast of the city of Wilmington in Wesley Township. Ballou is home to only a few houses and a grain elevator that serves the area farms. Other than the eponymous Ballou Road, a two-lane country road, there are no city streets or services. A railroad track that formerly crossed Ballou Road next to the grain elevator was dismantled in the 1990s.

Goodrich is an unincorporated community in Pilot Township, Kankakee County, Illinois, United States. The community is on Goodrich Road and a railway line 2.6 miles (4.2 km) south of Bonfield.
