Halifax Shopping Centre, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is Atlantic Canada's largest multi-building shopping centre. The centre is operated by Toronto-based Cushman & Wakefield Asset Services Inc. The property consists of an enclosed shopping centre with 641,585 square feet (59,605.2 m2) of leasable area, which attracts over 110,000 people each week, and an adjacent property with larger format retailers and office tower called Halifax Shopping Centre Annex with an additional 419,776 square feet (38,998.5 m2) of leasable area, including a 53,846 square feet (5,002.5 m2) office tower, Chebucto Place. Mumford Professional Centre is immediately adjacent to the annex property and represents an additional 237,084 square feet (22,025.8 m2) of leaseable space.The centre is open 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5:00 p.m on Sunday.

Mount Olivet Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada at which 19 bodies recovered from the RMS Titanic are buried. Many of the dead from the 1917 Halifax Explosion are also buried here, including Vincent Coleman, the heroic railway dispatcher who sent warning of the explosion.

Armdale station was a railway station in Armdale, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was operated originally by the Canadian National Railway and later by Via Rail. It was located near the Halifax Shopping Centre. In the 1970s and 1980s, it was served by Budd Rail Diesel Car (RDC) passenger trains operated by CN and later Via until the end of RDC service in Nova Scotia in 1990.

The Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, also known as the Beth Israel Synagogue Cemetery, is a Jewish cemetery located on west side of Windsor Street at the intersection of Connaught Avenue beside Fairview Cemetery in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It has been the burial ground of the congregation of the Beth Israel Synagogue of Halifax since 1893.

Saunders Park is an urban park in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is located in West End, Halifax on Chebucto Road at the site of the now defunct Halifax Civic Airport (on west side of Connaught Avenue between Bayers Road and Chebucto Road), the city's first aerodrome built on the former Bluebell Farm in 1931. The airfield had two grass airstrips, initially at 1800 x 600 feet and 2000 x 600 feet and extended by 200 and 250 respectively in 1938. It operated until 1941 when the land was converted to an army base and civil airport operations were moved to Dartmouth Airport (now CFB Shearwater) and then to Halifax International Airport in 1960. The hangars and terminal building were located near the present day park along Connaught Avenue. The park serves the neighbourhood of Westmount. The park is named after Donald Saunders whose contribution to aviation in Halifax is explained on a plaque under the memorial sculpture in the park: "This park was created for the citizens of Halifax and is named Saunders Park to commemorate the life work of a pioneer in Canadian aviation. Wing Commander Donald W. Saunders was associated with the development of aviation in the Halifax area for many years. He was instructor to the Halifax Flying Club from 1928 to 1937, served with the Royal Flying Corps in the War of 1914-1918 and with the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. From 1931-1937 Wing Commander Saunders was Manager of the Halifax Municipal Airport. This park is located on a portion of the old airport. During the War of 1939-1945 this area was occupied by Military District Number Six Depot, Canadian Army."

Fairview Cemetery is a cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is perhaps best known as the final resting place for over one hundred victims of the sinking of the Titanic. Officially known as Fairview Lawn Cemetery, the non-denominational cemetery is run by the Parks Department of the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Chocolate Lake is located in the Armdale neighbourhood of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The lake is surrounded by many private homes as well as a Best Western hotel and a city beach. As one of the nearest freshwater lakes to Downtown Halifax, Chocolate Lake is popular with swimmers and families during the summer months. Chocolate Lake has turtles, muskrats, and catfish. Although it is cited as contaminated, the City of Halifax tests the water quality periodically and the beach has rarely been closed for high levels of bacteria. Chocolate Lake is sourced by the Chain of Lakes, which is Halifax’s backup water supply. In the summer months, the beach is patrolled by lifeguards from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm; at least six deaths have been attributed to Chocolate Lake in roughly the past two decades. The city also provides changing rooms and washrooms. Other facilities near the beach include a tennis court, basketball courts, and a children's playground. There is a municipally-run Chocolate Lake Recreation Centre on the opposite side of Herring Cove Road.Chocolate Lake is referenced in the Jenn Grant song titled Dreamer at approximately 1:52.

St. John's Cemetery is a cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia and forms a series of cemeteries in the Fairview area of Halifax, next to Fairview Lawn Cemetery and Baron de Hirsch Cemetery. Opened in 1839, it is the final resting place for a few prominent Anglicans in Halifax: Canadian Prime Minister Sir Charles Tupper Father of Confederation John William RitchieThe cemetery contains war graves of 70 Commonwealth service personnel, 62 from World War I (of whom 48 lie in the Naval Plot in Section Q) and 8 from World War II.
