Edward's Way Bridge, also known as the 1928 Nose Creek Bridge to the Elevators, is a small wood and steel truss bridge over Nose Creek, in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. It was designated a Municipal Historic Resource by the City of Airdrie in 2019, the first Municipal Historic Resource in the city.

Bert Church High School is a high school in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada with approximately 1400 students in enrollment. The school is under the administration of Rocky View School Division. Bert Church High School is named after Bert Church, the son of an early Alberta settler, and a member of the rural school board of Calgary.

CFIT-FM is a Canadian radio station that broadcasts a hot adult contemporary format at 106.1 FM in Airdrie, Alberta. The station is currently owned by Golden West Broadcasting. The station played more pop/rock music other than its rival station, CHFM-FM. The station's launch in 2007 marked the first time Calgary began having two adult contemporary stations on FM. In 2011, regarding CIGY-FM flipping to adult hits, the station switched formats from a rock-leaning adult contemporary to more of a modern adult contemporary, leaving CHFM-FM as Calgary's only adult contemporary station and regarding the continuity of rock music in its playlist. It was also the largest English-language modern adult contemporary radio station in Canada. Like CKNO-FM in Edmonton, the station mixed in classic hits, and despite not reporting to Mediabase & Nielsen BDS' Canadian hot AC panels, Calgary is the largest market in Canada having two English hot AC stations, with the other station being CKCE-FM.

Airdrie Christian Academy, formerly known as Airdrie Christian School or ACS is a private K-12 school located in Airdrie, Alberta. The school was founded in 1987 by Brian Hazeltine and was one of the largest schools in the Calgary area. In 2019 it renamed as Airdrie Christian Academy. The school has developed a reputation for academic excellence, and has been ranked among the top schools in Alberta. (In 2012 the Fraser Institute ranked the ACS Elementary School in the top 25% of the province at 157 of 665 schools.)

Balzac is a hamlet in Rocky View County, which is in the Calgary Metropolitan Region of the Canadian province of Alberta. It is located immediately west of Queen Elizabeth II Highway, at the intersection with Highway 566, 24 km (15 mi) north of Calgary city centre and 12 km (7.5 mi) south of Airdrie. The hamlet is located in census division No. 6 and in the Alberta federal electoral district of Banff—Airdrie (formerly in the federal electoral district of Wild Rose). As of July 31, 2007, Balzac is immediately adjacent to Calgary's northern city limits. Balzac is also directly west of the CrossIron Mills shopping mall.

Airdrie Aerodrome (TC LID: CEF4) is a registered aerodrome located 2.6 nautical miles (4.8 km; 3.0 mi) southeast of Airdrie, Alberta, Canada.

CrossIron Mills is a fully enclosed shopping centre development just outside the northern city limits of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and immediately east of the hamlet of Balzac in Rocky View County. It was developed by Ivanhoé Cambridge, a major Canadian real estate company. Completed in August 2009, the mall is the largest single-level shopping centre in Alberta, containing approximately 109,440 m2 (1,178,000 sq ft) of retail and entertainment space. Century Downs Racetrack and Casino is close by to the east. The first tenant to open in the mall was the first Alberta franchise of Bass Pro Shops, which opened its doors in the spring of 2009, while the rest of the mall was under construction. The majority of the mall opened on August 19, 2009. A final phase initially referred to as The Entertainment Neighbourhood opened in Summer 2010. In the mid-2010s, this final phase was reconfigured to house a relocated food court (branded the "Food Hall"), with the original food court being redeveloped into new retail space.

Century Downs Racetrack and Casino is a casino and horse racing track near Calgary. It is one of two "A-level" horse racing venues in the province of Alberta and brought live horse racing back to the Calgary area for the first time since June 15, 2008. Century Downs offers live Standardbred races on weekends and holidays throughout the months of April to November. The casino features 550 slot machines, seven VLTs, and an off-track betting area which simulcasts both Standardbred and Thoroughbred races from around the world. Dining facilities include a lounge and the Mid City Grill restaurant. Century Downs first opened on April 1, 2015. Its first day of Standardbred racing was on April 25, 2015.On September 6, 2023, it was one of the assets of Century Casinos acquired by Vici Properties, in a deal valued at C$222 million.
