The Pleasant Street Historic District is a historic district along Pleasant Street (Massachusetts Route 60) in Belmont, Massachusetts. The district extends along Pleasant Street, from Winn Street to just south of Concord Avenue in the south, and also includes properties on adjacent streets northwest of Pleasant Street. The area is characterized mid- to late-19th century single family homes, generally on large lots, as well as Belmont's principal municipal buildings: its town hall and library.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Homer House, or the William Flagg Homer House, is a historic house on Pleasant Street in Belmont, Massachusetts, United States, built in 1853 by a wealthy Boston merchant, and used by his nephew, artist Winslow Homer, as the setting of several of his works. It serves as the headquarters of the Belmont Woman's Club which bought it in 1927 to save it from demolition. The club uses the house as the setting of many of its community events, while the club and its members act as the house's stewards, preserving and restoring it. In 1979 Homer House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Belmont Pleasant Street Historic District.

Belmont is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. It is a western suburb of Boston, Massachusetts, United States; and is part of the Greater Boston metropolitan area. At the time of the 2020 U.S. Census, the town's population stood at 27,295, up 10.4% from 2010.

Belmont Center is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Belmont, Massachusetts. It serves the Fitchburg Line. It is situated at the intersection of Common Street, Concord Avenue, and Leonard Street adjacent to Belmont's town center. It is one of two railroad stations located in Belmont, the other being Waverley station located in Waverley Square. The modern station was built in 1908 after the completion of a grade separation project in which the railroad tracks were raised above grade. There are two low-level side platforms serving the line's two tracks on an elevated grade. The station has no high-level platforms or ramps and is therefore not handicapped accessible. The station does not have a ticket office or ticket vending machines, meaning passengers must purchase tickets on board the trains.

Powers Music School is a musical institution serving New England for more than 50 years. Powers Music School is a community music center based in Belmont, Massachusetts. The School provides private music lessons, early childhood and group classes, ensembles, orchestra, theory, music therapy, and performance opportunities to over 1000 students throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.

Belmont Hill School is an independent boys school on a 32-acre (130,000 m2) campus in Belmont, a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts. The school enrolls approximately 440 students in grades 7-12, separated into the Middle School (grades 7-9) and the Upper School (grades 10-12), and refers to these grades as "Forms" with a Roman Numeral I through VI. While the majority of attending students are day students, there are some who enroll in the school's five-day boarding program, which becomes an option for students in their 9th grade year.

The Belmont Public Library is a public library in Belmont, Massachusetts. It is a member of the Minuteman Library Network. It is located on Concord Avenue near Belmont Center.

The Edwin O. Reischauer Memorial House is the former home of American diplomat and Japanese scholar Edwin O. Reischauer in Belmont, Massachusetts. After Reischauer's death, the house was purchased by Kodansha Publishers. For many years, it was used for special housing for scholars connected with the Edwin O. Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies at Harvard University, and also contained memorabilia of the Reischauers' careers, and hosted a yearly memorial symposium. In 2010 the house was sold, and it has since served as a private residence.

The Abraham Hill House is an historic First Period house in Belmont, Massachusetts, United States. Probably built in the early 18th century, it is one of the oldest buildings in the town. Its construction history shows changing residential trends over two hundred years of history. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

McLean Hospital () (formerly known as Somerville Asylum and Charlestown Asylum) is a psychiatric hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. It is noted for its clinical staff expertise and neuroscience research and is also known for the large number of famous people who have been treated there. McLean maintains the world's largest neuroscientific and psychiatric research program in a private hospital. It is the largest psychiatric facility of Harvard Medical School, an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital, and part of Mass General Brigham, which also includes Brigham and Women's Hospital.

The Arlington Reservoir is a large water storage tank located on Park Circle in Arlington, Massachusetts. It was constructed by the Metropolitan Water Works (now MWRA) between 1921 and 1924 in the Classical Revival style, to provide water storage for Northern Extra-High Service area, consisting of Lexington and the higher elevations of Belmont and Arlington.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
