The province of Brescia (Italian: provincia di Brescia; Brescian: pruìnsa de Brèsa) is a province in the Lombardy region of Italy. It has a population of some 1,265,964 (as of January 2019) and its capital is the city of Brescia. With an area of 4,785 km2, it is the biggest province of Lombardy. It is also the second province of the region for the number of inhabitants and fifth in Italy (first, excluding metropolitan cities). It borders the province of Sondrio to the north and north west, the province of Bergamo to the west, the province of Cremona to the south west and south, the province of Mantua to the south. On its northeastern border, Lake Garda – Italy's largest – is divided between Brescia and the neighboring provinces of Verona (Veneto region) and Trentino (Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol region). The province stretches between Lake Iseo in the west, Lake Garda in the east, the Southern Rhaetian Alps in the north and the Lombardian plains in the south. The main rivers of the province are the Oglio, the Mella and the Chiese. Besides Brescia, other important towns in the province are Travagliato, Darfo Boario Terme, Desenzano del Garda, Palazzolo sull'Oglio, Montichiari, Ghedi, Chiari, Rovato, Gussago, Rezzato, Concesio, Orzinuovi, Salò, Gardone Val Trompia and Lumezzane.

Nave (Brescian: Nàe) is a town and comune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy. Neighbouring communes are, from the south and clockwise: Brescia, Bovezzo, Concesio, Lumezzane, Caino, Serle and Botticino. It is located in the Garza valley. The origin of the name Nave is not certain. Some maintain it comes from nava (cfr. English navel) meaning the valley basin in which Nave sits, others think it is a contraction from Latin nam vallis, wide valley [1]. Another possibility is it comes from Latin navis meaning ship (cfr. Italian nave with the same meaning) due to the overall shape of the town when seen from the Maddalena mountain. Notwithstanding this hypothesis being held as improbable, the coat of arms of the town sports a ship on it. Originally Nave consisted in a series of loosely connected urban sections: Nave proper (Nave centro, Nàe), Campanile (Kampanìl), Cortine (Kurtìne), Dernago (Dernàk), Mitria (Mìtria), Monteclana (Monteklàna), Muratello (Möradêl) which eventually connected together following urbanization. This is reflected by the fact that Nave does not have a main square, which is very uncommon for an Italian town. Nave is also known as the Iron valley due to the many iron and steel factories that characterised the environment. In one of its urban section - Cortine - is still possible to visit "Villa Zanardelli", a former house of the President Giuseppe Zanardelli. A Lombard language tongue twister plays on Nàe being both the name of the town and a past tense of the verb nà (English to go, Italian andare): en dè ke nàe a Nàe go 'nkontràt el prèt de Nàe, 'l ma dìt endò ke nàe me go dìt ke nàe Nàe, which can be translated as: I was going to Nave when I met the priest of Nave, he asked me where I was going and I told him I was going to Nave.

With a population of 22,255 (As of 2017) it is one of the largest towns in the province of Brescia. It is situated in the Gobbia Valley, which is a side valley of the Trompia Valley.

Stadio Tullio Saleri (formerly Nuovo Stadio Comunale) is a multi-use stadium in Lumezzane, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of A.C. Lumezzane. The stadium holds 4,150.

Stadio Mario Rigamonti is a soccer stadium located in Brescia, Italy. It is currently the home of Brescia Calcio. It is dedicated to Mario Rigamonti, a defender of the Grande Torino, born in Brescia, who died in the Superga air disaster in May 1949.

Mompiano is a station of the Brescia Metro, in the city of Brescia in northern Italy. The station is located on the west end of what was once a green area, south east of Via Boccaccia and Viale Europa, with the easterly portion now paved over for a parking lot. The Stadio Mario Rigamonti, a destination for football fans, is a short distance directly north, and beyond that lies Parco Benedetto Castelli. The area adjacent to the station should be subject to increased urbanization, such as the recent construction of two new six storey buildings of 10,000 square feet on the south side. By the definition of public space, the designers have tried to relate the square to the surrounding environment; with the garden of Piazzale Luigi Kossuth, the expansion of parking lots, and taking pedestrian routes into consideration.

Prealpino is a station of the Brescia Metro, in the city of Brescia in northern Italy. The underground station is the northern terminus of the line.Although there was an official ribbon cutting ceremony at the station on 2 February 2013, the line did not become operational until 2 March 2013.
