Vienne-en-Bessin (French pronunciation: [vjɛn ɑ̃ bɛsɛ̃] , literally Vienne in Bessin) is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France. During the latter stages of the Battle of Normandy it was the home of the British Army 59th (Staffordshire) Infantry Division's battle school.

The canton of Ryes is a former canton of the Calvados département in northwestern France. It had 12,033 inhabitants (2012). It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015.
