Modbury is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Tea Tree Gully. Modbury is located at the end of the Adelaide O-Bahn and is home to the Tea Tree Plaza shopping complex and a Hospital. It was named Modbury by R. S. Kelly, on 1 September 1840, after his native town in Devonshire.

Yatala is a former electorate of the South Australian House of Assembly located within the cadastral Hundred of Yatala. It was one of the original Assembly districts in 1857, abolished in 1902.Yatala was also the name of an electoral district of the unicameral South Australian Legislative Council from 1851 until its abolition in 1857, William Giles, then Arthur Blyth being the members.Rural at the time, most parts of the district would now be considered metropolitan.

Florey is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It is named after scientist Howard Florey, who was responsible for the development of penicillin. It is a 21.25 km2 (8.20 sq mi) suburban electorate in Adelaide's north-east, taking in the suburbs of Ingle Farm, Modbury North, Para Vista, Pooraka, Valley View, and Walkley Heights, as well as parts of Modbury and Northfield. Florey was created at the electoral redistribution of 1969 as a notionally safe Labor electorate, and was first contested at the 1970 election. Mostly it was safely held by the Labor party until the 1989 election when it became the minority Labor government's most marginal electorate. Florey was one of the first electorates to fall to the Liberals at the 1993 election landslide. It was regained by Labor's Frances Bedford at the 1997 election.

Modbury Hospital is a hospital that provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to a population of over 400,000 people living primarily in Adelaide's north-eastern suburbs. Opened in 1973, Modbury Hospital is the major 24-hour and same-day elective surgery and rehabilitation hub for the north and north-eastern area. The hospital was renovated in the 2010s.

Tea Tree Plaza Interchange (previously known as Modbury Interchange) is a bus interchange operated by Adelaide Metro in Modbury, South Australia as part of the O-Bahn Busway. It is a central public transport hub for the north eastern suburbs of Adelaide.

Modbury North is a suburb 14 km northeast of Adelaide, capital city of South Australia. Modbury North is a suburb in the City of Tea Tree Gully Council area. The suburb is bounded by Milne Road in the north, Golden Grove Road in the east and Montague Road in the south. The suburb's western boundary runs parallel with, but midway between, Kelly Road and Nelson Road. Dry Creek runs along the eastern boundary of Modbury North and in flows to the creek are stored in the Kingfisher Wetlands Project, a water catchment area that has provided a habitat for birds, insects and lizards. It is a popular recreational space for walking, cycling, and exercising pets.

Terminal Storage Mini Hydro is the name of an electricity generator operating in the supply pipes for Adelaide's water supply in South Australia. The facility is installed at Tea Tree Gully and uses a stainless steel turbine in the gravity-powered supply pipes. It was developed by SA Water who own and operate the water distribution with experience from Hydro Tasmania. When it was installed, it had a capacity of 1.9 megawatts (2,500 hp). It has been upgraded to now provide 3 megawatts (4,000 hp).Hydro Tasmania and SA Water are equal partners in the joint venture which opened in October 2003. In 2011–12, it generated 4,762 megawatt-hours (17,140 GJ) of electricity.

Modbury High School is a government school in the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide. It borders Modbury South Primary School and is in close proximity to Ardtornish Primary School. School enrolment currently has over 700 students for year levels seven to twelve.[A]

The Hope Valley Reservoir is a 2,840 megalitres (100×10^6 cu ft) service reservoir in Hope Valley, South Australia, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia.When completed in 1873 it was the second reservoir constructed in Adelaide; it is the oldest still in use in South Australia. It covers 52 hectares (128 acres) and is retained behind a 950-metre (3,117 ft) long clay-cored earth wall. Water is transferred from the River Torrens via a tunnel and aqueduct. The river is also used to transfer water from the Kangaroo Creek and Millbrook reservoirs.In December 2021, the reservoir was opened to the public for the first time for activities including walking, running, cycling and picnicking.

Westfield Tea Tree Plaza is a large shopping centre located in Modbury serving as a shopping hub for Adelaide's growing north eastern suburbs, it’s linked to the city by Adelaide's unique O-Bahn Busway, which terminates at the Tea Tree Plaza Interchange. There is a smaller shopping centre building called Tea Tree Plus slightly to the north of the main centre. Major tenants include Myer, Harris Scarfe, Target, Kmart, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and Hoyts. With 245 stores, Tea Tree Plaza is the second largest shopping centre in Adelaide, only Westfield Marion is larger.

Para Vista is a suburb in northern Adelaide, South Australia. It is bounded by Wright Road to the South. The northern boundary of the suburb is Montague, Nelson and Milne Roads, making an backwards-L shape of the suburb. The western end is Redhill Road, but the eastern side does not follow streets.

Torrens Valley Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school providing a distinctive Christian environment to approximately 600 reception to year 12 students. The school is situated in Hope Valley, South Australia.
