Maoz Haim (Hebrew: מָעוֹז חַיִּים, lit. Haim's Fortress) is a kibbutz in Israel. It is located adjacent to the Jordan River in the Beit She'an valley and falls under the jurisdiction of Valley of Springs Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 502. Aside from agriculture, the kibbutz also has a plastics factory, "Poliraz".

Al-Ghazzawiyya (Arabic: الغزاويه), is a Palestinian village located 2 kilometers east of the city of Bet Shean (Bisan). In 1945, the population was 1,640, 1,020 Arab and 620 Jewish.

Ein Hoga (Hebrew: עין חוגה) (Arabic: عين السوداء) is a spring situated 4 km (2 mi) north-east of Bet She'an, and to the east of the Kibbutz at Hamadia. It is one of the most important sources of water in the Bet She'an valley. To the east of the spring there are the remains of a neolithic village. near the place was palestinians village named Al-Hamidiyya in whats today is now kibbutz of hamadia

Neve Eitan (Hebrew: נְוֵה אֵיתָן, lit. Strong residence) is a kibbutz in the Beit She'an Valley in northern Israel. Located about 1 km east of Beit She'an and 1 km west of Maoz Haim, it is under the jurisdiction of Valley of Springs Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 307.

Arab al-Bawati (Arabic: عرب البواطي/خربة الحكمة), was a Palestinian Arab village in the District of Baysan. It was depopulated during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It was located 4 kilometres north east of Baysan in the Baysan valley.

Hamadia (Hebrew: חֲמַדְיָה) is a kibbutz in the Beit She'an Valley, just north of Beit She'an in northern Israel. It belongs to the Valley of Springs Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 421.

Umm 'Ajra (Arabic: أم عجرة), was a Palestinian Arab village in the District of Baysan. It was depopulated by the Israel Defense Forces during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War on May 31, 1948, as part of Operation Gideon. It was located 4 km south of Baysan and the 'Ayn Umm 'Ajra provided the village with water.

Zab'a (Arabic: زبعة), was a Palestinian Arab village in the District of Baysan. It was depopulated by the Israel Defense Forces during the 1947–1948 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine on May 12, 1948, as part of Operation Gideon. It was located 5.5 km northeast of Baysan on Wadi Yubla or Wadi al-'Ashsha.

Beit Yosef (Hebrew: בֵּית יוֹסֵף) is a moshav in the northern Israel's Beit She'an Valley. Located about eight kilometres north of Beit She'an, adjacent to Yardena, it falls under the jurisdiction of Valley of Springs Regional Council. As of 2021 it had a population of 488.

Yardena (Hebrew: יַרְדֵּנָה) is a moshav in northern Israel. Located on route 90, 13 kilometers north of Beit She'an, it falls under the jurisdiction of Valley of Springs Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 370.

The 2002 Beit She'an attack, which took place during November 28, 2002, was a terrorist attack carried out by members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the city of Beit She'an, Israel. Gunmen opened fire and threw grenades at the Likud party polling station where party members were casting their votes in the Likud primary.Six Israeli civilians were killed during the incident and 34 civilians were injured.
