The Government Unani and Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital is a graduate, non-profit medical college, and associated hospital, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established on 10 March 1989.There are two courses BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) 5 years with 1-year internship are affiliated by pharmacy faculty of Dhaka University. The college has its own anatomy museum, physiology & pathology practical lab, Unani Adviyah museum with air-conditioned, Ayurvedic Drobyaguna museum with air-conditioned, garden of three herbal medicinal plants, air-conditioned library & projector room, computer lab with internet connection, college student council, internee doctors' association (IDA), college central mosque, general hospital including 150 beds, drug production house. Two college halls for boys & girls, a teacher's quarters & a staff quarters, etc.

Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College is an educational institution located in Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 2004, the institution offers education in both Bengali and English versions for male and female students. Classes are conducted in two shifts: a morning shift and a day shift. Students of the institution appear for PSC, SSC, and HSC public examinations. The academic curriculum follows the guidelines set by the Dhaka Education Board.

Syed Nazrul Islam National Swimming Complex built in 1993, is the national and international swimming sports hosting and training venue of Bangladesh. It is the main swimming venue in Bangladesh and the third venue within Dhaka city, It is affiliated to the National Sports Council, like the official venues for all swimming sports events in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Swimming Federation maintains the pool. The pool is posthumously named after Syed Nazrul Islam. Due to its location, the facility is known as Mirpur Swimming Complex.

The 2013 Bangladesh Premier League Final was a day/night Twenty20 cricket match played between the Dhaka Gladiators and the Chittagong on 19 February 2013 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka to determine the winner of the 2013 Bangladesh Premier League, second season of a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh. It ended as the Gladiators defeated the Kings by 43 runs. It was the second consecutive final and title for the Gladiators. The Gladiators, captained by Mashrafe Mortaza, topped the group stage table, whereas the Kings, led by Mahmudullah, stood at the third position. The total attendance of the match was 25350 (Reference from BCB).Winning the toss, Kings' captain Mahmudullah opted to field first. The Gladiators scored 172 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 9 wickets. Batting at number 3, Wicket-keeper Anamul Haque top scored for the Gladiators with 58 runs. Shakib Al Hasan scored 41 for Gladiators. Kings' bowler Rubel Hossain took four wickets for 44 runs. The Kings failed to build a good opening partnership when their opener Shehan Jayasuriya got out at 26. After this there was no big partnerships expect the 37 runs partnership at 6th wicket which was their highest. However, the other opener Jason Roy and skipper Mahmudullah scored 40 and 44 respectively to get to the target. But lack of good partnerships and contributions the Kings' innings ended as 129 all-out. Gladiators won the match by 43 runs and earned the 2013 Bangladesh Premier League title. Mosharraf Hossain of Gladiators was named the man of the match for his three wickets for 26 runs in bowling.

The Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS; Bengali: শের-ই-বাংলা জাতীয় ক্রিকেট স্টেডিয়াম), also called Mirpur Stadium, is an International cricket ground in Mirpur, a few kilometres away from the capital of Bangladesh. Located 10 kilometres away from the city centre in Mirpur, the ground holds approximately 25,000 people, and is named for the Bengali statesman A. K. Fazlul Huq, who was accorded the title Sher-e-Bangla ("Tiger of Bengal").

The 2012 Bangladesh Premier League Final was a day/night Twenty20 cricket match played between the Dhaka Gladiators and the Barisal Burners on 29 February 2012 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka to determine the winner of the 2012 Bangladesh Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh. It ended as the Gladiators defeated the Burners by eight wickets to bag the title of the inaugural season. The Gladiators, captained by Mashrafe Mortaza, stood at the third position, whereas the Burners, led by Brad Hodge, stood at the fourth position after a controversial decision by the authority. They had defeated the Khulna Royal Bengals and the Duronto Rajshahi respectively in the semi-finals. The total attendance of the match was 25800 (Reference from BCB).Winning the toss, Gladiators' captain Mashrafee Mortaza opted to field first. The Burners scored 140 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 7 wickets. Batting at opening, the captain Brad Hodge top scored for the Burners with a not out 70 runs . Gladiators' bowler Shahid Afridi took three wickets for 23 runs. The Gladiators failed to build a good opening partnership when their opener Nazimuddin got out at 26. However, the other opener Imran Nazir and Wicket-keeper Batsman Anamul Haque scored a quick 110 run partnership to take the match on their side. Gladiators reached the winning total with 26 balls to spare and earned the 2012 Bangladesh Premier League title. Nazir, who scored 75 run of 43 ball with 6 fours and 6 sixes to ease his team's way for the title, was named the man of the match.
