Buxtehude

The Halepaghen Grammar School (German: Gymnasium Halepaghen-Schule), or HPS, is a gymnasium ("grammar school") in Buxtehude (Lower Saxony, Germany). The school was mentioned for the first time in 1390 as an (original) grammar school. The school was named after Gerhard Halepaghe (born about 1430 in Buxtehude; died April 1484 in Buxtehude), a famous graduate from Buxtehude. The Halepaghen School was the first school in Germany to establish a new sixth form system. Instead of a class system (Obersekunda, Unterprima, Oberprima), the HPS established a course system.

Buxtehude is a railway station in northwestern Germany. The station is located in the town of Buxtehude. It is located on two railway lines: the Lower Elbe Railway, which runs between Cuxhaven and Hamburg, and the Bremerhaven–Buxtehude line of the Eisenbahnen und Verkehrsbetriebe Elbe-Weser (EVB) to Bremervörde (and therefore, to Bremerhaven and Zeven).

The 3rd Armoured Division (German: 3. Panzerdivision) was formed on 2 July 1956 in Hamburg and was one of the first major formations of the new German Army or Bundeswehr after the Second World War. The 3rd Armoured Division was stationed on the North German Plain between the rivers Elbe and Weser. Its last headquarters location was Buxtehude. It was part of the I Corps alongside the 1st Panzer, 7th Panzer, and 11th Panzergrenadier Divisions. The 3rd Armoured Division was disbanded on 30 September 1994. Its last commander was Generalmajor Gerd Schultze-Rhonhof. In the 1980s under Army Structures III and IV the division consisted of the 7th Panzergrenadier Brigade, 8th Panzer Brigade, and the Panzerlehrbrigade 9 (Armoured demonstration brigade). After the division's disbandment 9 PzL Bde eventually became part of 1st Armoured Division (Germany).

Estering is a rallycross race track situated in Buxtehude, Lower Saxony Germany. It primarily ran the German round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship until 2019. It also ran the World RX of Germany event of the FIA World Rallycross Championship from 2014 to 2018 before being dropped in 2019.

The Ovelgönne bread roll is the remaining part of a bread roll originating from the Pre-Roman Iron Age of Northern Europe, which was found in 1952 during archaeological excavations in a loam mine in the Buxtehude district Ovelgönne in Lower Saxony, Germany. The piece of bread is the oldest surviving formed bakery product from Europe. The find, along with a reconstruction, are in the permanent exhibition of the Archaeological Museum Hamburg in Harburg, Hamburg.

The Daensen folding chair consists of the metallic remains of a folding chair which were discovered in 1899 in sand from a Bronze Age tumulus near Daensen, a part of Buxtehude, Lower Saxony, Germany. The chair is the southernmost and most richly decorated example of the eighteen known folding chairs of the Nordic Bronze Age in Northern Europe. The fittings, along with a reconstruction, are in the permanent exhibition of the Archaeological Museum Hamburg in Harburg, Hamburg.

Jork is a small town on the left bank of the Elbe, near Hamburg (Germany). Jork belongs to the district of Stade, in Lower Saxony. The town is the capital of the Altes Land, one of the biggest fruit growing areas in Europe, and Jork is home to a Fruit Research Center.

The Goldbach (also Goldbeck) is a small river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It flows into the Este near Moisburg.

(Low German: Rübk) a village located in the north of Lower Saxony, Germany. Its population is 583 (2016). It consists of two main roads (Nincoper Deich and Buxtehuder Straße). Rübke belonged — as to its government — to the Prince-Archbishopric of Bremen, established in 1180. In religious respect, however, Rübke formed part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Verden until after 1566 its incumbent bishops lost papal recognition, except of a last Catholic bishop from 1630 to 1631, respectively. In 1648 the Prince-Archbishopric was transformed into the Duchy of Bremen, which was first ruled in personal union by the Swedish Crown — interrupted by a Danish occupation (1712–1715) - and from 1715 on by the Hanoverian Crown. The Kingdom of Hanover incorporated the Duchy in a real union and the Ducal territory became part of the new Stade Region, established in 1823. The town has limited facilities, with only a bank and a car yard being the main commercial entities in the town. Along Buxtehude Straße there is the town's fire brigade, which provides a location for the majority of the town's social gatherings. To the south west of the town lies Buxtehude and to the south, Neu Wulmstorf. The closest major city is Hamburg, to the north. The town is not serviced by standard public transport; however, bus stops exist for the local school buses which service the area. The B3n is connecting Neu Wulmstorf and the B73 with Rübke and the ramp for the planned A26.

Moisburg is a municipality in the district of Harburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Neukloster (German: Bahnhof or Haltestelle Neukloster) is a rapid transit train station, located in Neukloster, a village now part of the town Buxtehude, Lower Saxony. The trains of the Hamburg S-Bahn serve the station with the line S3 from Pinneberg via Hamburg-Altona station and central station to Stade.

Neu Wulmstorf is a railway station in northwestern Germany. The station is situated in the municipality of Neu Wulmstorf on the Cuxhaven to Hamburg Niederelbebahn railway line. The station was built on an enclave of land belonging to Daerstorf and thus was called Daerstorf until Daerstorf joined the municipality of Neu Wulmstorf in 1970.
