Hindley School

Noroton is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Darien, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It occupies the southwest part of Darien, from the Metro-North Railroad in the north to Long Island Sound in the south. The southern half of the community occupies Noroton Neck, between Holly Pond to the west and the Goodwives River to the east. It is bordered to the west by the city of Stamford and to the east by the Tokeneke neighborhood of Darien. To the north is Noroton Heights. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

St. John Parish is a Roman Catholic church in Darien, Connecticut. It is part of the Diocese of Bridgeport.

Pear Tree Point School was a co-educational private day school, grades Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 6 in Darien, Connecticut. It was the only school in the state of Connecticut which officially used the "Core Knowledge" program. The school kept its class sizes at a maximum of 15 students. When class size exceeded 10 students a second teaching professional was added. The group sizes for reading and mathematics classes were smaller.It was founded in 1996. In October 2017, it was announced the school would close. After town officials announced the Town of Darien would not be buying the property, the five-acre plot was sold to a private trust.

The Cove Island Houses, although plural in name, is a single house in Cove Island Park, in Stamford, Connecticut. The house was expanded from a first section that dates from 1791, and is now predominantly a Georgian style house with an older wing. It is the only building that is a legacy of the large Stamford Mills complex at the Cove. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It presently houses administrative offices of Cove Island Park.

The Pond-Weed House is a historic house at corner of the old Boston Post Road and Hollow Tree Ridge Road in the Noroton section of Darien, Connecticut. It has also been known as The House Under the Hill and Half-Way House. Built in 1696 by Nathaniel Weed, the house is a classic wood frame saltbox, 2+1⁄2 stories in height, five bays wide, with a central chimney. It is considered to be the oldest building extant in Darien.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Noroton Heights station is a commuter rail stop on the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line located in the Noroton Heights neighborhood of Darien, Connecticut.

Noroton Heights is a village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Darien, Connecticut, United States. The community is located on Connecticut's Gold Coast. Located close to Long Island Sound, in the Connecticut panhandle, it is approximately 35 miles (56 km) northeast of Midtown Manhattan and immediately to the east of Stamford. As of the 2020 census, the CDP has a population of 3,116.Noroton Heights is bordered by Stamford to the west, Noroton to the south, and downtown Darien to the northeast. It primarily serves as a bedroom community to office centers in Stamford, Norwalk, and Manhattan. Noroton is served by Exits 10 and 11 on Interstate 95. A 49-minute commute to Manhattan is offered at the Metro-North train station located downtown.Noroton Heights has some of the most expensive residential real estate in Connecticut, especially along Wee Burn Country Club. The public schools are consistently ranked as some of the highest performing schools in the country. Darien's secondary schools, Middlesex Middle School and Darien High School, are generally ranked near the top for the state of Connecticut and are both in Noroton Heights.

Cove Island Park is an 83-acre park, beach and recreation area in the Cove section of Stamford, Connecticut, located on Long Island Sound. Access to the park requires a parking pass. The city's Park Commission charges Stamford residents with valid Stamford car registrations can buy a season pass for $25 at Government Center, the non-resident fee is $225.

Middlesex Middle School is a middle school in the Darien Public Schools district in Darien, Connecticut, United States. The school serves students from sixth through eighth grades. Each grade is divided into 4 teams of around 90 to 150 students. In eighth grade there are the Teal (formerly Tan), Maroon, Navy and Green teams, for seventh grade there are the Gold, Purple, Aqua and Blue teams and for sixth grade there are the Yellow (formerly Bronze), Silver, Red and Orange teams.

Ziegler's Cove is a sheltered haven located on the north shore of Long Island Sound at Darien, Connecticut. Its coordinates are 41.05112°N 73.47128°W / 41.05112; -73.47128 The cove is protected to the south by Hay Island (a small peninsula), to the west by Coon Point and Long Neck Point and Great Island to the north. There are also two islands within the cove, Neds Island and smaller, rockier Pine Island. The shoreline of the cove is a mixture of steep granite bluffs, marsh, and coarse sand beaches. The shoreline is privately owned. There is no public access to the shore.

Hay Island is a small peninsula located off the Darien, Connecticut, shore of Long Island Sound. Its north shore is located on Ziegler's Cove. A small road connects the island with Long Neck Point Road. There are two structures on Hay Island. One was the home of the late William Ziegler III, a founder of the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.
