Castle Park View is a 26-storey high-rise in Bristol, England. Set for completion in 2022, the development occupies the site of the former Central Ambulance Station at the corner of Castle Street and Tower Hill and was proposed in 2017, with work starting in 2019. Designed by Chapman Taylor, the development contains 375 apartments and is the tallest building in Bristol at a height of 98m.

Heart West Country was a regional radio station owned and operated by Global Radio as part of the Heart network, broadcasting to Bristol and Somerset. It launched on 16 July 2010 as a result of a merger between Heart Bristol (formerly GWR FM), Heart Bath (formerly GWR FM Bath) and Heart Somerset (formerly Orchard FM).

The Cheese Lane Shot Tower is a grade II listed shot tower in the English city of Bristol. It was built in 1969, and was a replacement for an earlier shot tower, the very first such tower ever built. It now forms part of an office development called Vertigo, and is located on the north bank of the Floating Harbour upstream of Castle Park. There is no public access to the interior of the tower.

The Stag and Hounds is a grade II listed pub in Old Market, Bristol. The oldest parts of the building date to 1483, when it was probably as a private house. The current building is predominantly from the early 18th century, when it became a pub. It was partly rebuilt in the 1960s, and refurbished in 1987. At one time the inn was flanked by houses, but the building of a dual carriageway underpass has left it isolated. A well in the former rear court has a 19th-century iron hand pump with flywheel and pump rods, an early example of an installation for raising water from a well. This old iron pump, operated by a wheel six feet in diameter, is in fine condition and all its parts still move. It is unique in Bristol.There is also a minute window looking out onto the courtyard, which opens onto a small room set between floors and is only accessible through a trap-door in what is now a bathroom. It is possible that this may be a survival from the days of priest-hunting. The modern day pub is renowned as a live music venue with a wide variety of bands ranging across many genres.

The siege of Bristol lasted from the 18th to 26th of October 1326, and saw the city besieged by the forces of Isabella of France and Roger Mortimer during the 1326 Invasion of England. Isabella and Mortimer's forces fought the garrison under Hugh Despenser the Elder for eight days in a siege. They captured the fort after several attacks.

Castlemead is the second tallest high-rise building in Bristol, England, after Castle Park View topped out in 2020. Designed by A.J. Hines and started in 1973, work was halted by a recession in the property market and it was completed in 1981. The building has a roof height of 80 metres or 262 feet and consists of 18 floors, 17 of which are offices. Castlemead is owned by Regional Properties Ltd and managed by Knight Frank LLP. In June 2021, a major £2.1 million refurbishment completed. This included upgrading all 18 floors up to Grade A standard and transforming the basement to facilitate the creation of 374 new bike spaces, together with cycle hire facilities, 18 new showers, storage lockers, large dedicated drying room, new secure access with lift and 12 electric car charging points.The building is a short walk from Castle Park and the River Avon, and the Cabot Circus and Broadmead shopping areas.Companies contained within the building include: IMDb, Beaufort Securities Stockbrokers, IBEX Global UK, Marsh Commercial, Equiniti, Bristol IT Company and MWB Business Exchange. The building is also used by organisations including Lloyds TSB, and the City of Bristol College for holding exams.

Exchange is a community-owned music venue in the Old Market area of the city of Bristol, in South West England. Opened in 2012, it transferred to community ownership in January 2019 after raising over their target of £250,000 through the selling of shares. Independent record label Specialist Subject Records opened a record shop upstairs in the venue in August 2017. In January 2023 the venue announced it would have to reduce opening hours in its cafe/bar due to the current financial climate. Bristol City Council announced in December 2023 that it had cut arts funding for the venue from April 2024.

Marketgate (originally Mercury House) is a 16-storey high-rise residential building in the Old Market area of Bristol, England. Constructed between 1968 and 1970 as an office building for the South-West regional headquarters of the Post Office, it later served as a major British Telecom administrative centre before being redeveloped in 2001–02 as accommodation for more than 500 University of the West of England students. The building stands on Bond Street South opposite Cabot Circus, and remains one of Bristol's tallest post-war structures. Having been conceived for use by the Post Office, its original name referred to the Roman god of messages and communication, Mercury.

The Printers Devil (grid reference ST595729) was a historic pub in Bristol, England. It was built in the late 18th century as a pub, and used to be known as the Queen's Head.It is a grade II listed building.Since July 2008, the pub has been closed.

The Gardiners warehouse (grid reference ST596729) is on Straight Street, Broad Plain, Bristol, England. It was built in 1865 by William Bruce Gingell and is an example of the Bristol Byzantine style. It was originally part of Christopher Thomas and Brothers' soap works, but is now a warehouse. Some of the original florentine skyline ornament have since disappeared.In 1958 the Gardiners warehouse became home to what is now known as Gardiner Haskins of Gardiner Sons & Co Ltd, an independent homeware retailer established in 1893. In 1997 the Brunel Garden Centre that sits adjacent to the Gardiners warehouse opened.It has been designated by English Heritage as a grade II listed building.In 2018 Gardiner Haskins announced its intention to vacate Gardiners warehouse and move to a new showroom opposite the building.

The Former Gardiners offices (grid reference ST596729) is on Old Bread Street, Bristol, England. It was built in 1865-7 by Foster and Wood and is an example of the Bristol Byzantine style. It has been designated by English Heritage as a grade II listed building.
