Fairview, originally named Yorkship Village, is a neighborhood located in southern Camden, New Jersey. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, Fairview Village has a population of 5,947. Much of the neighborhood is part of a historic district listed on the state and federal registers of historic places.

The New York Shipbuilding Corporation (or New York Ship for short) was an American shipbuilding company that operated from 1899 to 1968, ultimately completing more than 500 vessels for the U.S. Navy, the United States Merchant Marine, the United States Coast Guard, and other maritime concerns. At its peak during World War II, NYSB was the largest and most productive shipyard in the world. Its best-known vessels include the destroyer USS Reuben James (DD-245), the cruiser USS Indianapolis (CA-35), the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63), the nuclear-powered cargo ship NS Savannah, and a quartet of cargo-passenger liners nicknamed the Four Aces.

St. Joseph's High School was a four-year private high school founded in 1946 by St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Diocese of Camden, located in Camden, New Jersey, that was closed in 1979 in the face of declining enrollment.

The Camden Shipyard & Maritime Museum is a maritime museum in the Waterfront South neighborhood of Camden, New Jersey, across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. The museum opened in September 2016. Its main building is the former Church of our Savior, and its grounds include land once owned by the New York Shipbuilding Co., which is said to have been, at one time, the largest shipbuilder in the world. The museum partners with UrbanPromise on their Urban BoatWorks program, which teaches middle-school and high-school students wooden boat-building.

The South Camden Trust Company building is located within the South Camden area of Camden, New Jersey and was listed on the state and federal registers of historic places in 1990. Built in the 1920s, it has long functioned as a church.

The proposed Glassboro–Camden Line light rail system would stop in the neighbourhood at Ferry Avenue parallel and west of the North-South Freeway.In September 2010 Waterfront South Theatre, home of the South Camden Theatre Company (SCTC), open as Camden's first live theatre space built in more than 100 years.In August 2014, ground was broken on Phoenix Park, which will provide access to the waterfront on land previously used for industry.

Woodlynne is a borough in Camden County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 2,902, a decrease of 76 (−2.6%) from the 2010 census count of 2,978, which in turn reflected an increase of 182 (+6.5%) from the 2,796 counted in the 2000 census. The borough is the state's eighth-smallest municipality. Established on the site of a defunct amusement park, Woodlynne is less than one-third the size of Six Flags Great Adventure and Safari.Woodlynne was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 19, 1901, from portions of Haddon Township. In 1906, the City of Camden made an unsuccessful attempt to annex Woodlynne.Woodlynne had the highest property tax rate in New Jersey, with an equalized rate of 7.384% in 2020, compared to a statewide average of 2.279% and 3.470% in Camden County.

Whitman Park is a neighborhood in Camden, New Jersey. Located north of Woodlynne, Whitman Park has a population of 6,574.Whitman Park is a crime and drug-infested neighborhood. However, businesses have started to move into Whitman Park in recent years. Due to high crime and murder rates, police have installed gunshot-recording microphones in Whitman Park. In 2015, the city of Camden submitted a redevelopment plan for the neighborhood. It is home to a substantial Polish American community, centered around the St. Joseph's Church.

It consists of 62 parishes and about 475,000 Catholics in the South Jersey counties of Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem. The Bishop of Camden presides from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden, although most major ceremonies are held at Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Blackwood. Some liturgies are held at St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral in Camden. Bishop Dennis J. Sullivan has been bishop of the diocese since 2013. The oldest parish, founded in 1848, is St. Mary's in Gloucester City.

Gloucester City Water Works Engine House is located in Gloucester City, Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1883 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 30, 1998.
