Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy (CAMVA) is a seven-year magnet public middle / high school that focuses on fine and performing arts programs in addition to academic programming for students in seventh through twelfth grades in the City of Camden, in Camden County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Camden City Public Schools. The school opened in 1999 with a freshman class of under 50 students, as one of three magnet schools in Camden, along with Brimm Medical Arts High School and MetEast High School. As of 2011, the academy added a middle school program for grades 6-8. Camden residents entering sixth or ninth grades are eligible to apply and must demonstrate interest in a particular field of the arts as well as meet minimum grade and attendance standards. Admission is based on a combination of criteria including auditions, academic scores and interviews.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 290 students and 42.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.8:1. There were 181 students (62.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 1 (0.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Newton Township was a township in New Jersey, United States, that existed initially within Gloucester County from its creation in 1695, and became part of Camden County when that county was formed in 1844, where it existed until its dissolution in 1871. Newton Township was incorporated as a township by Royal Charter on June 1, 1695, within Gloucester County. The township was incorporated by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798.On February 13, 1828, the city of Camden was formed within the township.Newton Township became one of the original townships of the newly formed Camden County, on March 13, 1844.On February 23, 1865, portions of the township were taken to create Haddon Township. On March 7, 1871, as a result of the “Act to revise and amend the charter of the city of Camden”, which had been approved February 14, 1871. This Act extinguished the old township of Newton by annexing all of its remaining territory to the City of Camden., and Newton Township was dissolved. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 2,902, a decrease of 76 (−2.6%) from the 2010 census count of 2,978, which in turn reflected an increase of 182 (+6.5%) from the 2,796 counted in the 2000 census. The borough is the state's eighth-smallest municipality. Established on the site of a defunct amusement park, Woodlynne is less than one-third the size of Six Flags Great Adventure and Safari.Woodlynne was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 19, 1901, from portions of Haddon Township. Whitman Park is a neighborhood in Camden, New Jersey. Located north of Woodlynne, Whitman Park has a population of 6,574.Whitman Park is a crime and drug-infested neighborhood. However, businesses have started to move into Whitman Park in recent years. Due to high crime and murder rates, police have installed gunshot-recording microphones in Whitman Park. In 2015, the city of Camden submitted a redevelopment plan for the neighborhood. It is home to a substantial Polish American community, centered around the St. Joseph's Church.
