Tacarigua

Tunapuna–Piarco is one of the 9 regions of Trinidad and Tobago. It is the most populous region in the country by total population and the fifth-largest by total land area. Geographically located in Northern Trinidad, Tunapuna–Piarco shares its borders with the regions of San Juan–Laventille to the west, Couva–Tabaquite–Talparo to the south, the Borough of Chaguanas to the south-west, Sangre Grande to the east and the Caribbean Sea to the north. The region also completely surrounds the Royal Chartered Borough of Arima, which is located in the south-eastern corner of the region. Tunapuna–Piarco is one of the most geographically diverse regions in Trinidad and Tobago. It features the country's two highest mountain peaks, El Cerro del Aripo at 3,084 feet and El Tucuche standing at a soaring 3,070 feet, which both tower the north of the region and the Northern Coast of Trinidad forming a part of the Northern Range.

Marvin Lee Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Macoya, Trinidad and Tobago which is housed together with the Dr. João Havelange Centre of Excellence. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Joe Public F.C. The stadium holds approximately 6,000 people. The stadium was named after defender and national Under-20 football captain Marvin Lee, who sustained head and neck injuries suffered in a collision with Landon Donovan in an U-20 game versus the USA. He was left paralysed after the incident and later succumbed to illness as a result of his weakened state. Lee was later recognised by the government of Trinidad for his service to the nation. In 2007, the stadium became the first in the Caribbean to have an artificial playing surface, costing TT$8 million, which was made possible through a FIFA development grant. The first game was a TT Pro League encounter, where Caledonia AIA scored a narrow win over Joe Public F.C. It was also host on June 15, 2008 to a World Cup qualifier between Trinidad and Bermuda which Bermuda won 2–1.

Macoya is a small town located alongside the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway in Trinidad and Tobago. It is located between Tunapuna and Trincity on the island of Trinidad.It is composed primarily of: Macoya/Trincity industrial estate - commercial warehouses Macoya Gardens - a small residential neighbourhood. Macoya village - located around Macoya Road near Constantine park Macoya extension - a developing community, south bound of centre of excellence. The Marvin Lee Stadium, a football facility that hosts domestic and international football matches as well as the adjacent João Havelange Centre of Excellence are located in Macoya.

The East–West Corridor is the built-up area of north Trinidad stretching from the capital, Port of Spain, 24 kilometres (15 mi) east to Arima. The term was coined by economist and political philosopher Lloyd Best, after gleaning the works of a technocrat named Lynette Attwell. The Corridor includes such towns as Laventille, Morvant, Barataria, San Juan, St. Joseph, Champs Fleurs, Curepe, St. Augustine, Valsayn, Tunapuna, Macoya, Trincity, Tacarigua, Arouca, D'Abadie, and El Dorado. For the most part it runs along the Eastern Main Road, between the Churchill–Roosevelt Highway and the foothills of the Northern Range. It is a densely populated and fairly congested strip of development along some of the best agricultural soils in the country.

The Alma Jordan Library at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Trinidad and Tobago, was named after UWI librarian Dr. Alma Jordan in 2012. The four-storied library is located on the St. Augustine Campus of the UWI. It is the largest of the libraries in the St Augustine Campus libraries network, with approximately 600,000 monographs, 31,000 e-books, 4,000 serial titles, 57,000 e-journal subscriptions and access to over 200 databases. The Alma Jordan Library houses the Eric Williams Memorial Collection, which has been named to the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.The library houses the minute books of the London Society of West India Planters and Merchants, a major anti-abolitionist organisation of the British West Indian plantocracy.Other libraries in the St Augustine Campus Libraries network include the Medical Sciences Library, the library at the School of Education, the Festival Library and Cultural Resource Centre, the library at the Centre for Language Learning, the library attached to the Institute of International Relations, the Republic Bank Library at the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, the library of the National Herbarium of Trinidad and Tobago, the Library at the Hugh Wooding Law School, the Seismic Research Centre Library, the Patience-Theunissen Memorial Library located at Mount Saint Benedict and the Library at Roytec at the UWI School of Business and Applied Studies.

Curepe is a town in the East–West Corridor of Trinidad and Tobago. It is located west of St Augustine and east of St Joseph. Curepe adjacents the St. Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies. Many of the students attending the university live in Curepe. Curepe began as a crossroads, where the Southern Main Road ran south. Although the Southern Main Road has largely been supplanted by highways, Curepe remains an important transportation hub for private taxis and maxi taxis which ply the route south to San Fernando and Chaguanas. Curepe is administered by the Tunapuna–Piarco Regional Corporation.

Arouca is a town in the East–West Corridor of Trinidad and Tobago located 19 km (12 mi) east of Port of Spain, along the Eastern Main Road. It is located west of Arima, east of Tunapuna and Tacarigua, south of Lopinot, and north of Piarco. It is governed by the Tunapuna–Piarco Regional Corporation. Arouca may be a corruption of Arauca, an Amerindian tribe. During most of the Spanish rule, Arouca (then called San Agustín de Arouca) was a settlement reserved for Amerindians. However, when the French arrived in 1783 under Governor José María Chacón's Cedula de Repoblación the Amerindians were restricted to Arima. Most of the land in Arouca was split between the Tablau and Chaumet families. Arouca steadily grew into a major agricultural center, but the extension of the railroad to Sangre Grande in 1898 lured many people in Arouca to relocate to the more prosperous Sangre Grande valley. Today, it mainly comprises residential housing. There are several schools located in Arouca including the Bon Air Primary School, Arouca Anglican Primary School, Arouca Girls R.C., Arouca Boys R.C., Arouca Government Primary Schools and Bon Air High School. Arouca is home to four prisons and one correctional facility. These include the Golden Grove Prison, Remand Prison, Women's Prison and Youth Training and Rehabilitation Centre.

The University of the West Indies at St. Augustine is a public research university in St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. It is one of 5 general campuses in the University of the West Indies system, which are ranked 1st in the Caribbean. It is ranked 1st in Trinidad and Tobago and 28th best in Latin America.Although St. Augustine is the main campus in Trinidad and Tobago, there is also a satellite campus of UWI St. Augustine in nearby Mount Hope (within the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex) that houses the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University. UWI St. Augustine, which began in 1960, was borne out of the Imperial College of Tropical Agriculture. It is the only member university of the system that boasts a Faculty of Food and Agriculture, an area of expertise that has long been interwoven into the history of the Caribbean islands.The University confers degrees from bachelor to doctoral levels.The University offers student exchange programmes to colleges around the world such as McGill University, University of Toronto, Concordia University, Queen's University, University of St. Andrews, University of Freiburg, Bordeaux Montaigne University, École supérieure de commerce et management, Middlesex University, University of Wisconsin Madison, Stockholm University to name a few and others.

The Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground is a cricket stadium in Saint Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. The stadium is named after Frank Worrell, a West Indies cricketer. First-class cricket was played on the ground three times during the 1970s, during which time it was used as a home ground for East Trinidad. In preparation for the 2007 Cricket World Cup, $1.5 million was spent on refurbishing the ground, which was used for four warm-up matches for the tournament. The ground has been used intermittently as a first-class venue since then, including the semi-final of the 2010–11 Regional Four Day Competition.

Lakshmi Girls' Hindu College, officially Shri Bhadase Sagan Maraj Lakshmi Girls' Hindu College, located in Trinidad and Tobago, is a school in the East-West corridor and is situated between Deane and McCarthy Street along the Eastern Main Road. The current principal is Sonia Mahase-Persad while the current vice principal is Cherrie-Anne Ramnarine. The school teaches several subject areas including visual arts, social studies, integrated science, English, math, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, sociology, Spanish, French, food and nutrition. There are also many co-curricular activities and extra curricular activities. As of 2021, they have received six President's Medals (Shivrani Prabhudial 2015 (business studies), Priya Maraj 2016 (environmental sciences), Veshala Goon 2017 (business studies), Amrita Singh 2018 (general studies), Celine Roodal 2019 (science) and Nikeesha Nancoo 2021 (business). The school also holds competitions to help students with their learning. Some of these competitions are Annual Sports Day, Interhouse competition which is held so all houses compete against each other to win first place. Houses at Lakshmi Girl's are identified by their colour; for example, Saraswati house is known by their blue colour and red goes to Lakshmi house, purple to Shakti house, yellow to Vidya house and green to Sita house. At Lakshmi Girls' all rules and regulations must be carried out carefully. On Tuesdays and Thursdays a Home Room period is held where every class spends some time with their form teacher to discuss matters concerning the class as well as to inspect the students nails, hair, proper uniform etc. Every Wednesday morning there are staff meetings held in the different subject departments. Lakshmi Girls' Hindu College also partakes in many indoor and outdoor activities where there is participation from international and regional schools so that there is a broader connection to the rest of the world.

Saint Augustine is a town in the northwest of Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago.
