Runnins River

Seekonk is a town in Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States, on the Massachusetts border with Rhode Island. It was incorporated in 1812 from the western half of Rehoboth. The population was 15,531 at the 2020 census. In 1862, under a U.S. Supreme Court decision resolving a longstanding border dispute between Massachusetts and Rhode Island, a portion of Tiverton Rhode Island was awarded to Massachusetts to become part of Fall River, while 2/3 of Seekonk (now eastern Pawtucket and East Providence) was awarded to Rhode Island.

Located in East Providence, Rhode Island, United States, it serves 375 students in grades PreK through 12. The school has no religious affiliation and has been co-ed since 1991. It has maintained accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleagues (NEASC) since 1952.

Seekonk High School is a public high school operated by Seekonk Public Schools in Seekonk, Massachusetts, United States. It serves the district's 9–12 student population. The school's mission statement is "All students will achieve their maximum potential by becoming responsible, productive citizens and life-long learners."

East Providence High School is a public high school located in East Providence, Rhode Island. It instructs grade levels 9 through 12 and is operated by the East Providence School Department. As of the 2021-2022 year, there was an approximate student population of 1,500 students.

The Newman Cemetery is an historic cemetery in East Providence, Rhode Island. One of the oldest in the state, the cemetery was established in 1643, when the area was part of Rehoboth, Massachusetts. It is located at the southwest corner of Newman and Pawtucket Avenues, adjacent to the Newman Congregational Church. Its first recorded burial is in 1658, and it remained in use well into the 19th century.The cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Newman Congregational Church is an historic church at 100 Newman Avenue in East Providence, Rhode Island. It is a two-story wood-frame structure on a high brick basement. It was built in 1810 for a congregation that was established in 1643, when the area was part of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, and is the oldest Congregationalist organization in Rhode Island.

The Rumford Chemical Works and Mill House Historic District is a historic district encompassing the remnants of the Rumford Chemical Works, a historical chemical plant in East Providence, Rhode Island, founded by Eben Horsford and George F. Wilson. The Rumford Chemical Works are now home to several businesses including Avenue N American Kitchen, the Punch Kettlebell Gym and the Seven Stars Bakery as well as rental apartments and lofts.

The Carpenter, Lakeside, and Springvale Cemeteries are historic cemeteries located on Newman and Pawtucket Avenues in East Providence, Rhode Island, United States. The three cemeteries occupy a triangular area bounded by Newman and Pawtucket Avenues to the east and south, and railroad tracks to the west. Carpenter Cemetery, the oldest, was established in 1844. Springvale was established in 1888 and Lakeside in 1895. The area is one of the few remaining undeveloped areas of what was once a "ring of green" around the historic center of Rehoboth, which was near this area.The cemeteries were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Phillip Walker House (also known as the Philip Walker House or Deacon Walker House) is a historic American Colonial house in East Providence, Rhode Island. It is the oldest known house in East Providence.

The Boston and Providence Railroad Bridge in East Providence is a railroad bridge on the East Junction Branch spanning Ten Mile River. A portion of the bridge also spans Roger Williams Avenue. The bridge was built in 1884 by the Boston and Providence Railroad, replacing an earlier structure on the line. The bridge abutments are faced in coursed ashlar stone, with brick-faced segmental-arch tunnels piercing them. The main span of the bridge consists of two Warren trusses resting on the abutments and a central pier in the Ten Mile River.The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It continues in active service carrying Providence and Worcester Railroad freight trains between East Providence and Seekonk, Massachusetts.

Rumford is the northern section of the city of East Providence, Rhode Island, US. The Rumford section of East Providence borders Seekonk, Massachusetts, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and the Ten Mile River (Seekonk River). Rumford has been part of three towns and two states: Rehoboth, Massachusetts, Seekonk and East Providence, Rhode Island. It became part of Rhode Island in 1862. Rumford Baking Powder was made in the town at the Rumford Chemical Works and was named after Sir Benjamin Thompson, Count Rumford. Wannamoisett Country Club was established in Rumford in 1898 on land rented from Rumford Chemical Works and it hosts the Northeast Amateur Invitational Golf Tournament each year. The 1931 PGA Championship was played here.About 150 acres (61 ha) of the Rumford area was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, encompassing the historic heart of old Seekonk and the 19th-century center of East Providence.
