The California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM) School of Medicine is an accredited medical school located in Colton, California/San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, United States. CUSM received preliminary LCME accreditation in February 2018, and enrolled students for classes conferring an M.D. degree beginning July 2018. The new CUSM campus, completed in 2020, has two lecture halls, nine college rooms, 15 clinical skills rooms and three labs. More than 2,400 students applied to CUSM's inaugural class, with 64 students enrolling in the class of 2022. In 2019, more than 5,300 students applied to CUSM, with 98 students enrolling in the class of 2023. In 2020, more than 5,300 students applied to CUSM, with 130 students enrolling in the class of 2024. The average GPA of accepted students is 3.6, with an average MCAT score of 513.The California University of Science and Medicine currently is affiliated with Arrowhead Regional Medical Center as the primary teaching hospital. The majority of the students in the class of 2022 (80%), class of 2023 (80%), and class of 2024 (98%) comes from California.

Slover Mountain (Mount Slover, Marble Mountain) is a former mountain in Colton, in southwestern San Bernardino County and the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Now a hill, it was surface mined for limestone in the 20th century. The Colton Joint Unified School District's continuation high school is named after the mountain.The mountain was known as Tahualtapa ("raven hill") by Native Americans and Cerrito Solo ("little solitary hill") by the colonial Spanish.

Colton High School is an American public high school in Colton, California. It is located just north of Interstate 10 at Rancho Avenue. Colton High School opened in 1895 as the first High School of the Colton School District. It is one of five High Schools in the district. The school draws students from the city of Colton, as well as Grand Terrace and a small section of San Bernardino. The school is identified as a national AVID demonstration school, and was named a 2011 AP District of the Year in the midsize category by the College Board. Out of 1240 high schools in California, Colton ranks 1139 placing it in lowest 10%.

Rialto High School is a public high school located in San Bernardino, California that opened in September 1992. It is operated by the Rialto Unified School District, and is a member of the San Andreas. The name of the school's student-run newspaper is The Medieval Times. The current principal is Dr. Caroline Sweeney.

Colton Crossing is a railway crossing situated in Colton, California, directly south of Interstate 10. First built in 1883, it was the site of one of the most intense frog wars in railroad construction history, leading to a personal confrontation between famed lawman Virgil Earp and California Governor Robert Waterman. The crossing was the intersection of the tracks for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe (ATSF) and Southern Pacific (SP) railroads. The tracks are now owned by the SP's and the ATSF's successors, the Union Pacific (UP) and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroads respectively. The UP tracks run east–west at the crossing while the BNSF tracks run north–south (the BNSF tracks eventually head west to Los Angeles and Long Beach, parallel to the UP tracks). Metrolink trains and Amtrak's Southwest Chief use the BNSF tracks through the crossing while Amtrak's Sunset Limited utilize the UP tracks. The UP tracks come from the east through the Coachella Valley and into the yard in West Colton (onwards to Los Angeles). On the other hand, the BNSF tracks from the indirect west (Los Angeles) and direct south (Riverside and Corona) continue through the crossing and on to the yard in San Bernardino, which then head up north to Cajon Pass and eventually Barstow on the journey to Chicago.

The Colton Carnegie Library is a Carnegie library located at 380 North La Cadena Drive in Colton, California. The library was built in 1908 through a $10,000 grant from the Carnegie Foundation. Architect Franklin P. Burnham designed the Neoclassical building, the only example of the style in Colton. The building features an entrance portico supported by Ionic columns, a frieze and ornamented pediment above the entrance, and pilasters at the corners. In addition to housing the city's collection of over 1,000 books, the library hosted community meetings and social groups and even served as a church. The library moved to a larger building in 1982, and the building now houses the Colton Area Museum.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 3, 1988.

Rialto station (also known as the John Longville Depot) is a Metrolink San Bernardino Line station located at 292 South Palm Avenue in Rialto, in San Bernardino County, California, just south of Rialto Avenue off of Riverside Avenue. The station is named for former Assemblymember and Rialto Mayor John Longville. The station is owned by the city of Rialto and was designed as a replica of the former 1888-built Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway frame-built structure.Rialto station is served by 34 Metrolink San Bernardino Line trains (17 in each direction) each weekday, running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. Weekend service consists of 16 trains (8 in each direction) on both Saturday and Sunday, evenly spaced throughout the day.Omnitrans route 22 stops at the eastern side of the station at Rialto and Riverside. Route 15 stops at Riverside and Merrill, three blocks to the south.

Rialto station was a Pacific Electric train station in Rialto, California. It is located on Riverside Avenue at crossing of the Union Pacific (formerly Pacific Electric and Southern Pacific) tracks. This was the point where the Riverside–Rialto Line branched south from the Upland–San Bernardino Line. The station building was designed by Thornton Fitzhugh, who also designed the railroad's main downtown terminal: the Pacific Electric Building. The concrete structure cost the railway roughly $10,000 for construction (equivalent to $289,276 in 2022 adjusted for inflation). Direct passenger service to Los Angeles ended in 1947 when the San Bernardino Line was truncated to Baldwin Park.After freight service to the station ended, the building was sold and had been operated as a restaurant.

First Christian Church of Rialto is a historic church located at 201 N. Riverside Avenue in Rialto, California. The church was built from 1906 to 1907 to serve Rialto's First Christian Church, which was founded in 1905. Architect H. M. Patterson designed the church in the Late Gothic Revival style; his design also features elements of the American Craftsman style. The church's design features a gable roof with a corner tower, pointed arch stained glass windows, and louvered vents, all characteristic Gothic Revival features. The Craftsman influence on the design can be seen in its redwood shingled body and roof, its overhanging eaves with ornamental brackets, and its decorative stickwork. The congregation owned the church until 1964, when it was purchased by the City of Rialto to avoid its demolition. It is currently used as a community center. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 20, 2003.

Agua Mansa ("gentle water") is a former settlement in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino County, near Colton, California, United States. Once the largest settlement in San Bernardino County, it is now a ghost town. Only the cemetery remains.The town was established in 1842 in early California Alta California. It was on the Santa Ana River, across from the era settlement of La Placita. Agua Mansa and La Placita were the first non-native settlements in the San Bernardino Valley. Together known as "San Salvador", they were also the largest settlements between Santa Fe de Nuevo México and the Pueblo de Los Ángeles in the 1840s.

California's 31st congressional district is a congressional district in Los Angeles County, in the U.S. state of California. The district is located in the San Gabriel Valley. From January 3, 2023, following the 2020 redistricting cycle, the district is currently represented by Democrat Grace Napolitano.

Colton is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Nicknamed "Hub City", Colton is located in the Inland Empire region of the state and is a suburb of San Bernardino, approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) south of the city's downtown. The population of Colton is 52,154 according to the 2010 census, up from 47,662 at the 2000 census. Colton is the site of Colton Crossing, which was one of the busiest at-grade railroad crossings in the United States. The crossing was installed in 1882 by the California Southern Railroad to cross the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks while building northward from San Diego. As a result of railroad acquisitions and mergers, this became the point at which the Burlington Northern Santa Fe's "Southern Transcontinental Route" crossed the Union Pacific's "Sunset Route". As traffic on each line began to soar in the mid-1990s, fueled largely by the vast increase in imports passing through the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the primitive crossing became a serious bottleneck. On August 28, 2013, the at-grade crossing was officially replaced by a fly-over that raises the east–west UP tracks over the north–south BNSF tracks. Despite its status as a railroad town, Colton does not have passenger rail service. Passenger trains operated by Amtrak and Metrolink pass through Colton but do not stop there.
