St Nicholas Church, Brighton

Wykeham Terrace is a row of 12 early 19th-century houses in central Brighton, part of the English city of Brighton and Hove. The Tudor-Gothic building, attributed to prominent local architect Amon Henry Wilds, is built into the hillside below the churchyard of Brighton's ancient parish church. Uses since its completion in 1830 have included a home for former prostitutes and a base for the Territorial Army, but the terrace is now exclusively residential again. Its "charming" architecture is unusual in Brighton, whose 19th-century buildings are predominantly in the Regency style. English Heritage has listed the terrace at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance.

The building at 11 Dyke Road in Brighton, part of the English city of Brighton and Hove, is now the Rialto Theatre, but it originally housed the Swan Downer School for poor girls, for whom it was designed and built in 1867 by prolific architect George Somers Leigh Clarke. The highly ornate brick structure, in a "freely inventive" European Gothic style, has also served as a chapel and an office since it was vacated by the school, whose pupils were recognisable around Brighton in their blue and white uniform. English Heritage has listed the building at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance.

The Clock Tower (sometimes called the Jubilee Clock Tower) is a free-standing clock tower in the centre of Brighton, part of the English city of Brighton and Hove. Built in 1888 in commemoration of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee, the distinctive structure included innovative structural features and became a landmark in the popular and fashionable seaside resort. The city's residents "retain a nostalgic affection" for it, even though opinion is sharply divided as to the tower's architectural merit. English Heritage has listed the clock tower at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance.

The Regent Cinema was a cinema in Brighton, England. It was opened by Provincial Cinematograph Theatres on 27 July 1921 and was one of that company's first super cinemas. It was demolished in 1974.

Churchill Square is the principal shopping centre in the centre of Brighton and Hove, a city on the south coast of England. It is at the eastern end of Western Road, near the Clock Tower. Owned by Standard Life Investments, in common with the Brent Cross Shopping Centre in London, Churchill Square has up to 85 shops (when all are let), in addition to several sites for "open-air" style stalls in the corridors. It is arranged over three floors with only the food court on the uppermost; some of the largest stores occupy two floors. The majority of the shops are chain stores, typical of other large British shopping centres.

Hanover Chapel, Brighton was originally a congregationalist chapel built in Brighton, East Sussex in 1825. It was built on land located beside Church Street and North Road for Rev. James Edwards, a local presbyterian minister. However, Edwards left for Bognor Regis, where he opened another chapel, also known as Hanover Chapel, in deference to the House of Hanover, the Royal House at that time.

The Church Street drill hall is a former military installation in Brighton. It is a Grade II listed building.

St Paul's Church, dedicated to the missionary and Apostle to the Gentiles Paul of Tarsus, is a Church of England parish church in Brighton in the English county of Sussex. It is located on West Street in the city centre, close to the seafront and the main shopping areas.

Chartwell Court is a residential tower block in the centre of Brighton, part of the city of Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom. The tower is unusual in that is built directly on top of a car park serving the Churchill Square shopping centre. Construction work started in 1967 and continued until the following year.Chartwell Court is the second tallest building in the city of Brighton and Hove and amongst the tallest in the surrounding county of East Sussex. Most flats have uninterrupted sea views, and many also have views over the South Downs and the city.

The former Holy Trinity Church is a closed Anglican church in the centre of Brighton, part of the English city of Brighton and Hove. Established in the early 19th century by Thomas Read Kemp, an important figure in Brighton's early political and religious life, it was originally an independent Nonconformist chapel but became an Anglican chapel of ease when Kemp returned to the Church of England. The church closed in 1984, but was converted into a museum and later an art gallery. Reflecting its architectural and historical importance, it has been listed at Grade II since 1981.

Brighton Hippodrome is an entertainment venue in the ancient centre of Brighton, part of the English city of Brighton and Hove. It has been empty and out of use since 2007, when its use as a bingo hall ceased. From its construction in 1897 it has hosted an ice rink, circus acts, variety theatre, vaudeville shows and bands such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The flamboyantly decorated interior, with a large auditorium and Rococo embellishments, survives despite the frequent alterations; but in July 2010 its owner announced that it would cost £9 million to restore the building and convert it into a live music venue, and a charitable trust expressed concern over its future. Since 2011, several plans have been submitted to convert the building for alternative uses. English Heritage has listed the building at Grade II* for its architectural and historical importance.

West Hill is an area of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex situated on the east-facing hill rising west from Brighton railway station towards Seven Dials. The area is bounded by Dyke Road to the west, by the curve of the railway line and the station to the north and east, and by modern development along Queen's Road (with the North Laine area beyond) to the south-east. The area is mainly residential consisting of late 19th century housing of varying types: small terraced houses in the east of the area close to the station, and larger semi-detached villa-style properties to the west. West Hill was designated a conservation area in 1977 and comprises approximately 56 acres (230,000 m2).Brighton railway station is in the West Hill area. It is a Grade II* listed building—one of 70 in the city of Brighton and Hove (as of February 2001).The West Hill Community Association is active in the West Hill area of Brighton and is based in West Hill Hall in Compton Avenue. Since the 1970s, it produces a community magazine 6 times a year called The Whistler.
