The Kenilworth Trail is a paved bicycle trail in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It runs nearly 1.5 miles (2.4 km) and acts as a connector between the Cedar Lake Trail in the north and the Midtown Greenway in the south. Like the Cedar Lake Trail, most of the route is composed of a triple-divided cycleway/pedway with a pair of one-way paths for bicycles and another path for pedestrians. On some maps, a southern segment of the Kenilworth Trail is called the Burnham Trail. The trail corridor has been considered the most highly trafficked in the Minneapolis park system.

Cedar Lake East Beach is an urban beach in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It is managed by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and located on the east side of Cedar Lake. Formerly known as Hidden Beach, the area used to be obscured down a forested path, which contributed to its rise of prominence in the 1960s and 1970s as enclave of counter-culture. After receiving attention for several decades due to illicit activities and safety concerns, the beach underwent a contentious "family-friendly" shift following efforts by the park board in the late 2010s. The location was already deemed extremely family friendly, patrons often brought their small children and infants to experience a community without judgement and to meet people from all walks of life. Unfortunately, the neighboring residents were not so welcoming of the "all walks of life" aspect of the community that had grown at Hidden Beach.

Cedar Lake is a lake in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, and part of the city's Chain of Lakes. It is located on the west side of the city, north of Bde Maka Ska and west of Lake of the Isles. The lake is surrounded by parkland, with some easements having been made to private homeowners on the southeast side; it is the only lake in the city with private shoreline. The south and west sides border the Cedar-Isles-Dean neighborhood, while the east shore flanks the Kenwood residential area. On the north is the Cedar Lake Trail and the BNSF Railway, and the south Bryn Mawr neighborhood. Cedar Lake has an area of 169 acres (0.68 km2) and a maximum depth of 51 feet (16 m). The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board manages the lake and parkland around the lake.

Cedar-Isles-Dean is a neighborhood in the Calhoun-Isles community in Minneapolis. Its boundaries are the Kenilworth Lagoon and Lake of the Isles to the north and east, West Lake Street to the south, and France Avenue South to the west. Nearby neighborhoods include Bryn Mawr and Kenwood to the north, East Isles to the east, East Bde Maka Ska to the southwest, and West Maka Ska to the south. To the west is the suburb of Saint Louis Park. The neighborhood, one of the most affluent in the city, takes its name from Cedar Lake, Lake of the Isles, and Dean Parkway. Kenwood is a neighborhood within the Calhoun-Isles community in Minneapolis along Lake of the Isles. The neighborhood is one of the most affluent in the city along with the nearby Lowry Hill neighborhood. The Kenwood neighborhood's most notable feature is the many historic mansions along the parkways overlooking the lake and the downtown skyline.Its boundaries are Cedar Lake Parkway to the west, Kenwood Parkway to the north, West Lake of the Isles Parkway to the east, and Kenilworth Place to the south.

Calhoun-Isles is one of the official communities (a grouping of several official neighborhoods) in the U.S. city of Minneapolis. It contains the Uptown business district and the name "Uptown" is frequently (though somewhat incorrectly) used to refer to the entire community. The name of the community refers to its most prominent physical features, the large and publicly accessible lakes, Bde Maka Ska (previously known as "Lake Calhoun") and Lake of the Isles. The Beach Club Residences (formerly, Calhoun Beach Club) is an apartment community, health club, and commercial center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, just across Lake Street from its namesake Lake Calhoun (now called Bde Maka Ska). Its founders intended the club to meet their residential, recreational, and entertainment needs in one building. The original building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 23, 2003. It is considered significant as a rare local example of an apartment hotel, a distinctive urban housing option of American cities in the 1920s.

Lake of the Isles (Dakota: Wíta Tópa, "Four Islands") is a lake in Minneapolis, Minnesota, connected to Cedar Lake and Bde Maka Ska. The lake is part of the city's Chain of Lakes and has an area of 109 acres (0.4 km2), 2.86 miles (4.6 km) of shoreline with a little under three miles of paved walking and biking paths, and a maximum depth of 31 feet (9 m). Lake of the Isles is known for its two wooded islands, its long north arm, and the surrounding stately houses of the Kenwood, Lowry Hill, and East Isles neighborhoods.

Brownie Lake is a lake in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and within the city limits of Minneapolis. It is the northernmost lake in the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes (Brownie Lake, Cedar Lake, Lake of the Isles, Bde Maka Ska, and Lake Harriet). It is within Brownie Lake Park, and administered by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB).

The Dr. Oscar Owre House is a historic house located at 2625 Newton Venue South just north of Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was designed by notable local architects Purcell, Feick & Elmslie in the Prairie School style.

The Kenwood Park Water Tower is an octagonal brick and stone water tower in the Kenwood neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1910 and designed by Frederick William Cappelen, the city of Minneapolis engineer at the time. The tower is 110 feet tall, making it the tallest structure in Kenwood. The tower has not been used to store water since 1954. The tower was built to alleviate water pressure and storage problems in the Lowry Hill area. Although the tower is not the work of a master architect or representative of a specific architectural style, its design is distinctive. It is ornamented with projecting ribs, narrow rectangular windows, and Lombard bands, suggesting a medieval fortress. The tower serves as a distinct visual focus within the neighborhood.The Kenwood Park Water Tower is one of three stone water towers built in Minneapolis during the early 20th century. The others are Washburn Park Water Tower in 'Tangletown' and Prospect Park Water Tower in southeast Minneapolis.

Bryn Mawr (pronounced from Welsh for "big hill") is a neighborhood within the Calhoun-Isles community in Minneapolis located directly west of downtown Minneapolis. Prior to the 1960s, the neighborhood was home to many workers of the nearby Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway yard. The neighborhood is all residential with two small business clusters, and a majority of it is surrounded by parks and hiking trails. The west-northwest border is adjacent to Theodore Wirth Park, while the southwestern perimeter borders Saint Louis Park.In addition to Theodore Wirth Park, Bryn Mawr is bound by more parkland: Bassett Creek to the north, the Bryn Mawr Meadows park to the east, and Cedar Lake and Cedar Lake park to the south. Nearby neighborhoods include Harrison to the north, Lowry Hill to the southeast, and Kenwood and Cedar-Isles-Dean to the south.
