Lake Mirror is a lake in Lakeland, Florida.Lake Mirror was so named on account of the clarity of its waters.The city of Lakeland operates the Lake Mirror Complex, a recreation center at the lake.

The Frances Langford Promenade (also known as the First Civic Center and the Lake Mirror Promenade) is a historic site in Lakeland, Florida. It is located between Lemon Street and Lake Mirror Drive. On January 27, 1983, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The project was built in two phases and completed in 1928. Charles Wellford Leavitt of New York was the designer. In 1946, the city of Lakeland dedicated the promenade to Lakeland native Frances Langford for her work with the United Service Organizations and her music and acting career. In 2013, the city re-dedicated the promenade and installed a new marker.

The Munn Park Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on November 3, 1997) located in Lakeland, Florida. It is named in honor of the city's founder, Abraham Munn. The district is bounded by East Bay Street, North Florida Avenue, East Orange Street, and East Main Street. It contains 48 historic buildings and 1 object. The central feature of the district is Munn Park. On June 3, 1910, the Daughters of the Confederacy erected a Confederate monument in the center of the park. It was removed March 22, 2019.

Hollis Garden is a public botanical garden in Lakeland, Florida, in the United States. It is divided into 16 themed sections or "rooms" with plantings being rotated throughout the year. Not all of the rooms feature heavy planting, for example the Gazebo and Trellis area displays Tuscan style, neoclassical architectural design elements. Some of these rooms showcase water features such as the Grotto, a shady section of garden that houses tropical ferns and orchids; the Rosette Plaza and Fountain, a grand, central, open-spaced display; Bowls and Runnels, a long gravity-fed fountain that takes water from the Rosette Fountain down to Lake Mirror; and the Lily Pond, a small secluded koi pond surrounded by rustling bamboo. There are rooms named after their colors including the Red, Yellow, and White Rooms. Other rooms are named after their planting types like the Vegetable Room, Tropical Room, and Herb Rooms, and Patterned Flowerbeds. Two of the rooms, Sustenance Orchard and Trees of Americana, showcase the botanical heritage of Florida and the United States. The trees in the Trees of Americana Room are all relatives of famous trees of American history including a Water Oak from Helen Keller's home, a Sycamore from Susan B. Anthony's grave, an Oak from 16th U.S. President Abraham Lincoln's birthplace, a Weeping Willow from the musician Elvis Presley's front yard, and, previously, a tree associated with the poet Edgar Allan Poe, which died. Lastly, the Butterfly Garden is designed and dedicated to the local pollinators such as butterflies, moths, and bees. The rooms and areas are connected by labyrinthine walkways that connect the garden to the surrounding Lake Mirror complex. The staff maintain a growing collection of plants from around the world including several incense plants like the Frankincense Tree and the Balm of Gilead, and edible plants like the Blackberry Jam Fruit and the Peanut Butter Fruit.

The Polk Theatre in Lakeland, Florida is a historic theater located at 121 South Florida Avenue. The 1,400-seat theatre was built in 1928 after the local business "boom" of the town had ended and despite the fact that the population was only 15,000 inhabitants. In 1982, a group of concerned people banded together to save the theatre from being razed due to low attendance. Local citizens formed a non-profit group, borrowed money, secured a grant from the state, and purchased the theatre for $300,000. The theatre has a mezzanine, a high balcony, a permanent backdrop of a "Venetian piazza," an orchestra pit, a ceiling against which images of twinkling stars are projected, and terrazzo flooring. The air-conditioning system, which was the first in the county, was a pump that used artesian well water to chill the building.Under the name Polk Theatre and Office Building, the building was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Old Lakeland High School, also formerly known as the Polk Opportunity Center, is an historic 3-story redbrick school building located at 400 North Florida Avenue in Lakeland, Florida, U.S.. Built in 1926, it was designed by architect Edward Columbus Hosford in the late Gothic Revival architectural style. On September 30, 1993, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Over the years the building has housed several different schools including the Polk Opportunity Center, Lakeland Junior High School, and Lakeland Middle Academy. Lakeland Middle Academy was renamed Lawton Chiles Middle Academy in 1999, to honor the passing of former Florida governor Lawton Chiles—himself an alumnus of Lakeland High School.

The East Lake Morton Residential District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on July 9, 1993) located in Lakeland, Florida. The district is bounded by Orange Street, Ingraham Avenue, Palmetto Street, Lake Morton Drive and Massachusetts Avenue. It contains 215 historic buildings.

The Oates Building (former home of the Oates-Corley Furniture Company) is a historic site in Lakeland, Florida. It was designed by architect Edward Columbus Hosford in the Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival styles. The Oates Building is located at 230 South Florida Avenue. On July 28, 1995, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Lake Morton is a lake in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, in the United States. The lake is named for John P. Morton, who owned land near the lake.
