Neutraubling is a town in the state of Bavaria in southern Germany, in the district of Regensburg. The town has only existed since 1951. After the second world war, displaced ethnic Germans from Sudetenland (Czech Lands) or former eastern territories of Germany (Poland) settled in the ruins of the bombed military airport. Today, it is a more or less important industrial site. During the Second World War, Neutraubling was used as an airbase and factory for the Messerschmitt aircraft manufacturing company. Between the end of 1940 and April 23, 1945, the factory was able to house up to 2,750 slave laborers at a time.Between 20 February 1945 and 26 April 1945, inmates of Flossenbürg concentration camp were held there until forced into a 'death march' to Dachau concentration camp.Even today, it is possible to find relics of the early history of Neutraubling and its airbase past. For example, what is known as the "Schlangenbau", which is now home to people from various nations all over the world, was the command centre of the airbase. The small pond located next to the Schlangenbau was used as a water reservoir for the airbase fire brigade. Even the Catholic church there still harbours various signs of the past. It is said that parts of the wall of the church were taken from a destroyed hangar. The main road leading through the city itself has its roots in one of the World War II airstrips. Despite Neutraubling's earliest roots dating back to the stone age period, it can't compete with Regensburg's rich history. Neutraubling also provides a fully fledged education infrastructure starting with three kindergartens up to a grammar school. Furthermore, Neutraubling is also home to various medium-sized and internationally operating enterprises, e.g. Krones, which has its very roots in this city. Nightlife in Neutraubling is what can be expected from a city of only 13,000 inhabitants.

Chopper was an alleged ghost living in a dentist's office in the city of Neutraubling near Regensburg in Germany. The story was later discovered by the criminal police to be a fraud.

Donaustauf is a market town in Bavaria, 5 km (3 mi) east of Regensburg at the foothills of the Bavarian Forest. The ruins of a medieval castle, presumably erected between 914 and 930, tower above the small town. Situated nearby on a hill rising from the Danube is the imposing Teutonic temple of fame, Walhalla, a costly reproduction of the Parthenon in Athens. The Walhalla was commissioned by Ludwig I, King of Bavaria, and inaugurated on 18 October 1842.Donaustauf had been a fief in the Duchy of Bavaria, but in 1710 it was transferred to Bishopric of Regensburg. In 1803 it joined the newly formed Principality of Regensburg, but just 7 years later, at the Treaty of Paris it was returned to Bavaria, which, in turn, endowed it to the princes of Thurn and Taxis. In 1899, the princely house was elevated to a dukedom, receiving the title of Duke of Wörth and Donaustauf. Maximilian Karl, Prince of Thurn and Taxis and his family, who liked the romantic scenery of Donaustauf, moved to the newly constructed princely Castle Donaustauf in 1843, which, however, was completely destroyed during a blaze on 4 March 1880.

Donaustauf Castle (German: Burgruine Donaustauf) is a ruined hill castle located at a height of 424 m above sea level (NN) on a hill spur overlooking the River Danube by the market village of Donaustauf in the Upper Palatine county of Regensburg in the south German state of Bavaria. Donaustauf grew up during the Middle Ages under the protection of the mighty fortifications of the castle. Since 6 April 1986 the castle ruins have belonged to Donaustauf and, from 1997, the municipality had the castle made safe and renovated it.

The Walhalla is a hall of fame that honours laudable and distinguished people in German history – "politicians, sovereigns, scientists and artists of the German tongue"; thus the celebrities honoured are drawn from Greater Germany, a wider area than today's Germany, and even as far away as Britain in the case of several Anglo-Saxon figures. The hall is a neo-classical building above the Danube River, in Donaustauf, east of Regensburg in Bavaria, the exterior modelled on the Parthenon in Athens. The Walhalla memorial is named for the Valhǫll of Norse Paganism. It was conceived in 1807 by Crown Prince Ludwig I of Bavaria in order to support the gathering momentum for the unification of the many German states into the German Empire. Following his accession to the throne of Bavaria, construction took place between 1830 and 1842 under the supervision of the architect Leo von Klenze. The memorial displays some 65 plaques and 130 busts covering 2,000 years of history, beginning with Arminius, victor at the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest in the year 9 CE.

Obertraubling is a municipality in Bavaria, Upper Palatinate (German: Oberpfalz), in the district of Regensburg.

Sarchinger Weiher is a lake in Landkreis Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany. At an elevation of 330 metres, its surface area is 0.28 square kilometers. The lake is a flooded gravel-pit. In the surrounding area, there are several small lakes created by gravel quarrying. The north-western, north-eastern, and south-western banks were filled up with sand to create a beach and make the water shallow for children. On these banks, there are also kiosks, lavatories and official fireplaces for barbecues. The further lakesides are planted with trees and shrubs to provide sufficient shade. In the middle of the southern half of the lake, there is a small island which over the last years and decades became a breeding zone for rare birds, e.g. the black-crowned Night Heron. The island is still freely accessible.

Armin-Wolf-Arena is a baseball stadium located in Regensburg, Germany. It was built in 1996 and has a capacity of 3,100 spectators. It hosts the home games of Buchbinder Legionäre Regensburg of the Bundesliga Baseball and has hosted the 2009 Baseball World Cup and the German qualifying round of the 2013 and 2023 editions of the World Baseball Classic.
