The main building of Moscow State University (in Russian Гла́вное зда́ние МГУ) a 239-metre (784 ft), 36-level (in its central part) skyscraper in Moscow, Russia. Designed by Lev Rudnev as the headquarters of Moscow State University, it is the tallest of seven Moscow skyscrapers in the Stalinist architectural style constructed between 1947 and 1953. It was until 1990 the tallest building in Europe before being surpassed by the Messeturm in Germany. It remains the tallest educational building in the world.

M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU; Russian: Московский государственный университет имени М. В. Ломоносова, romanized: Moskovskiy gosudarstvennyy universitet imeni M. V. Lomonosova) is a public research university in Moscow, Russia, and the most prestigious university in the country.The university includes 15 research institutes, 43 faculties, more than 300 departments, and six branches (including five foreign ones in the Commonwealth of Independent States countries). The Faculty of Political Science of Moscow State University (Russian: Факультет политологии МГУ) is a scientific and educational structural division of Moscow State University, which trains students in the speciality of political science and conflict studies, as well as trains highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel in political science through graduate and doctoral studies.

The Fizfak (Faculty of Physics) of Moscow State University is one of the most esteemed faculties of Moscow State University, widely regarded by students as one of the toughest faculties in the university. It was established in 1933. The current dean of the faculty - Nikolay Sysoev.

The Faculty of History is one of the faculties of the Moscow State University. Established at 1934 on the base of the Historical-philological faculty of the university. The dean of the faculty was Sergey Karpov (since 1995 to 2018).

MSU Faculty of Geography (Russian: Географический факультет МГУ) is a faculty of Moscow State University, created in 1938 by order #109 dated 23 July 1938. There are 15 departments:

MSU Faculty of chemistry - the Faculty of Moscow State University. Established at 1929. Dean - professor Stepan Kalmykov. Nowadays there about 1800 employees at the faculty, among them are 315 professors and over 800 engineers and research workers and 23 members of Russian Academy of Sciences

MSU Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics (CMC) (Russian: Факультет вычислительной математики и кибернетики (ВМК)), founded in 1970 by Andrey Tikhonov, is a part of Moscow State University.

Universitet (Russian: Университе́т, English: University), named after the nearby Moscow State University, is a station on the Moscow Metro's Sokolnicheskaya Line. It opened in 1959 and has rectangular white marble pylons and tiled walls. The architects were V. Litvinov, M. Markovsky, L. Lile and V. Dobrakovsky. The station's two round entrance vestibules (architect Ivan Taranov) are located on either side of Prospekt Vernadskogo at Lomonosovsky Prospekt.

The Moscow State University Materials Science Department (Russian: Факультет наук о материалах МГУ) is a faculty of Moscow State University, founded in 1991 at the base of Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Physics and Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. Former name of a structure was High School of Materials Science (Высший колледж наук о материалах). As of 2010 about 150 students studied at the faculty. Although the faculty is relatively small, the faculty includes members of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) among its members. The educational program of the faculty includes mathematics, physics, chemistry and mechanics, and also number of practical courses. The faculty annually accepts 25 new students. The education lasts 5.5 years (11 semesters) for Specialist degree, or 4 years for Bachelor's degree and 2 more years for Master's degree. The 1st dean and founder of the department is Yury Dmitrievich Tretyakov.

Graduate School of Business Administration (Russian: Высшая Школа Бизнеса МГУ им. Ломоносова), also known as Lomonosov Moscow State University Business School, founded in 1989 in Moscow State University is one GSBA Business School Moscow of the oldest business schools in Russia. Graduate School of Business Administration offers Bachelor of Management, Master in International Business, MBA, Executive MBA Programmes and Doctoral Programme (PhD). Lomonosov MSU BS also offers corporate programmes. Lomonosov MSU BS was ranked #1 in Russia according to the surveys held by the business magazine "Secret Firmy" in 2007, 2008 and 2010.
