William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute

Sheppard West (formerly Downsview) is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The station, which is located at the southeast corner of Sheppard Avenue West–Allen Road intersection, opened in 1996 in what was then the City of North York, and the large commuter parking lot, accessible via Allen Road and Sheppard Avenue, opened in July 2005. It was the northern terminus of the western branch of the line until the opening of the six stations of the line's extension north to the City of Vaughan's new downtown core on December 17, 2017. When this station opened, it was among the first accessible stations of the Toronto subway system, and the first to be purpose-built as such. The station also features Wi-Fi service.

Toronto Aerodrome, also known as Canadian Air Express Airport, was an aerodrome located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. One of the historical airfields of Canada, operated from 1928 to 1939, it was situated at the current Sheppard West station on Dufferin Street and Sheppard Avenue West. Toronto Aerodrome was one of several small airfields established in the Toronto area during the 1920s and 1930s. This aerodrome served as the principal custom entry point for aircraft coming to Toronto until 1939, when Malton airfield, now Toronto Pearson International Airport, became operational.The aerodrome shared the site with the Toronto Flying Club (located at Dufferin Street and Wilson Avenue). The Toronto Flying Club's site is now the south end of Downsview Airport, TTC Wilson Complex. Following the end of World War II into the 1960s, parts of the former airfield and surrounding farmland were developed into the residential neighbourhood of Wilson Heights and mixed commercial-industrial area of Downsview.

Lieutenant-Colonel George Taylor Denison III Armoury, commonly known as Denison Armoury, is a Canadian Armed Forces facility located at 1 Yukon Lane in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is in the northeastern corner of Downsview Airport, just west of the W.R. Allen Expressway (Allen Road) on Sheppard Avenue West. Denison Armoury is the headquarters of 4th Canadian Division (formerly Land Force Central Area), Joint Task Force Central, and the 32 Canadian Brigade Group. It is also home to several units of the brigade. The armoury is named for George Taylor Denison III, a Canadian Militia commander, judge and Toronto alderman.

DRDC Toronto is a major military research station located at the former site of CFB Downsview in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of several centres making up Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC).

The Anne & Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto (Hebrew: האקדמיה העברית ע״ש טננבאום), also known as CHAT and TanenbaumCHAT, is a private Jewish high school in Toronto, Ontario, established in 1960. Beth Jacob V’Anshei Drildz is an Orthodox synagogue in the North York district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1897, Beth Jacob is one of the oldest continuously-run synagogues in Toronto. The synagogue follows the Nusach Sefard style of prayer.

Bathurst Manor is a neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located in northern Toronto in the former suburb of North York. It sits on a plateau bounded on the north by Finch Avenue West, on the west by Dufferin Street, on the east by the Don River (west branch), and on the south by Sheppard Avenue West. The area is also regarded as part of the Downsview postal area as designated by Canada Post. It is part of the former city of North York, which merged with five other municipalities and a regional government to form the new "City of Toronto" in 1998. Downsview Airport (ICAO: CYZD) is an airport located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. An air field, then air force base, it has been a testing facility for Bombardier Aerospace from 1994. Bombardier has sold the facility to a development company who plans to redevelop the land in the coming years into commercial and residential properties.Downsview Airport had its own fire service (Bombardier Aerospace Emergency Services) which covers airport operations (using two airport fire rescue vehicles) and plant operations (using two SUV emergency vehicles). Bombardier Emergency Services employees were cross-trained as firefighters, first responders and airport security.

Clanton Park (sometimes referred to as Dublin Heights or Wilson Heights) is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Located in the district of North York, it is part of federal and provincial electoral district York Centre, and Toronto electoral wards 9: York Centre (West) and 10: York Centre (East). In 2016, it had a population of 16,472, a 12.7% rise from 2011. It is bordered on the north by Sheppard Avenue West, on the west by the Downsview Airport whose border includes Wilson Heights Boulevard (north part) and Dufferin Street (south part), on the east by Bathurst Street, and on the south by Highway 401. Clanton Park is sandwiched between Downsview Park, formerly CFB Downsview, and Earl Bales Park, named after a former reeve of North York. It also contains several smaller parks.

Charles H. Best Middle School is a middle school in North York, Ontario for Grade 4 to 8 students. It is located near Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue, in the Bathurst Manor residential area. The school was named Dufferin Heights Junior High until 1978, when it was renamed in honour of Charles Best, one of the co-discoverers of insulin.

Toronto FC Academy, also known as TFC Academy, is the youth academy and development system of Canadian Major League Soccer club Toronto FC. The academy has divisions from U14 to U19 and includes over 110 young players. The senior academy team is known as Toronto FC III.
