Royal Victoria Infirmary

The Great North Children's Hospital (GNCH) is a tertiary referral centre in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The hospital is managed by the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is a teaching hospital for the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is one of only 14 such children's hospitals in the United Kingdom.

Newcastle University Medical School is the medical school at Newcastle University in England. It was established in 1834 in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne and served as the College of Medicine in connection with Durham University from 1851 to 1937 when it joined Armstrong College, to form King's College, Durham. In 1963 King's College became the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. The university now uses the name "Newcastle University".

The School of Dental Sciences, Newcastle University and Hospital was founded in 1895 in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The School of Dental Sciences is part of Newcastle University and the Dental Hospital became part of the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Hospitals Trust in 1992.

Castle Leazes is a piece of common land in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is situated in an area which separates Leazes Park and Spital Tongues. It has been in common ownership for over 700 years.This area of land was earmarked as the site of a new stadium by Newcastle United football club in the mid-1990s, when chairman John Hall announced his intention to build a 55,000 seater stadium was planned at a potential cost of £65 million. The planned move proved controversial with the club's supporters and others, and was shelved in favour of expanding St James' Park to over 50,000 seats over the next few years.

The McCord Centre for Landscape is an interdisciplinary research centre based at Newcastle University, directed by Sam Turner. It is named after Norman McCord, emeritus professor of history at Newcastle University, a pioneer of aerial photography in north-east England. Research in the McCord Centre covers landscapes in the broadest sense, from the physical environment to intangible heritage, and includes archaeologists, historians, geographers, geoscientists and landscape architects. Although the McCord Centre is based in Newcastle, it has members around the world. The Centre promotes interdisciplinary approaches to understanding the complex relationships that create landscapes from early prehistory to present. The centre undertakes desk based assessments and surveys for bodies such as English Heritage, and Durham County, academic research, and has hosted several major international conferences.

The Centre for Software Reliability (CSR) is a distributed British organisation concerned with software reliability, including safety-critical issues. It consists of two sister organisations based at Newcastle University, UK. and City, University of London, London.Up until August 2016 the centre ran the Safety-Critical Systems Club (SCSC) and the Software Reliability & Metrics Club. Since August 2016 the Safety-Critical Systems Club has been run by the department of Computer Science at the University of York. The Club runs a number of events each year including the annual Safety-Critical Systems Symposium (SSS).CSR was founded in 1984 and has received UK and international research funding. Global Urban Research Unit (GURU) is a research centre established in 2002 at the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape, Newcastle University, England.

Newcastle University School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Housed in a Grade 2 listed building in the university quadrangle (built in 1913 to a design by WH Knowles and adjacent to the School of Fine Art by the same architect). Its history predates the establishment of the university.

The Museum of Antiquities was an archaeological museum at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It opened in 1960 and in 2009 its collections were merged into the Great North Museum: Hancock.

Leazes Park is a Grade II listed park urban park in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is the city's oldest park, opened in 1873, and lies to the west of the city centre. The park contains a lake above the course of the Lort Burn. It is next to St James' Park and the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Leazes Park is separated from Spital Tongues by Castle Leazes, an area of common land similar to the Town Moor.

Newcastle University Students' Union (NUSU) is the students' union of Newcastle University in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is an organisation with the intention of representing and providing services and welfare for the students of University of Newcastle upon Tyne. It was originally set up as the Union Society and changed to its present name in 2011. It is not affiliated with the National Union of Students (NUS). The Students' Union is run by seven sabbatical officers and ten part-time unpaid officer positions. It also employs around 300 people in ancillary roles including bar staff and entertainment organisers.

Exhibition Park is a public park connected to the south-eastern corner of the Town Moor, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The park is home to numerous facilities including sports areas, a boating lake, playgrounds and a skatepark.
