Dagon University

Dagon University railway station is a railway station in Yangon, Myanmar.

Basic Education High School No. 3 Dagon (Burmese: အခြေခံ ပညာ အထက်တန်း ကျောင်း အမှတ် (၃) ဒဂုံ) is a public high school located a few miles north of downtown Yangon, Myanmar. It was formerly Myoma Girls National High School founded at 32nd street in downtown Yangon in March 1921 as a sister school of Myoma Boys National High School. The school was moved to its current location in 1929.

Togyaunggale also spelled and pronounced as Toe Gyaung Kalay is a town in southern Myanmar under Yangon State within North/East Dagon Township. In fact the region is commanded by North Dagon or East Dagon Township and there also has a railway station located in Toe Gyaung Kalay that can reach to National railway lines outside Yangon City. It also can reach to Pego City in Pego State. Toe Gyaung Kalay is placing in border between North and South or East and South Dagon Townships. The rail line is also connected with Yangon City Circle Rail route, not just from City Central Station. Yayway Cemetery (Burmese: ရေဝေးသုသာန်, also spelt Yeway Cemetery) is a cemetery located in North Okkalapa Township, Yangon, Myanmar. The cemetery is the final resting place of many prominent Burmese. The cemetery is maintained by the Yangon City Development Committee's environmental maintenance department. Yayway Cemetery also consists of various ethnic and religious cemeteries, including those of the Burmese Indians, Sino-Burmese (Hakka, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Yunnanese), Karen, Japanese, Baháʼís, Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Parsis, and Jews.

North Dagon Township (also North Dagon Myothit; Burmese: ဒဂုံမြို့သစ်မြောက်ပိုင်း မြို့နယ် [dəɡòʊɰ̃ mjo̰ðɪʔ mjaʊʔpáɪɰ̃ mjo̰nɛ̀]) is located in the eastern part of Yangon, Myanmar. The township comprises 25 wards, and shares borders with East Dagon Township in the north and east, South Okkalapa township in the west, and South Dagon township in the south. North Dagon is a relatively more developed area among the new satellite towns founded in 1989 by the military government. The realestate price is also considered highest among other new satellite townships. The township has 24 primary schools, one middle school and four high schools. Dagon University, the largest undergraduate university in the city, is located in the central part of the township. North Dagon is connected to the mainland Yangon across the Pazundaung Creek by the four bridges Panglong Bridge, Ba Htoo Bridge, Baeli Bridge and the Yangon Circular Railway runs a rail service between Dagon University and downtown Yangon.

Assistance Association of Political Prisoners (Burma) (Burmese: နိုင်ငံရေးအကျဉ်းသားများကူညီစောင့်ရှောက်ရေးအသင်း; abbreviated AAPP or AAPPB) is an independent non-profit organisation founded by Burmese former political prisoners living in exile. Mainly staffed by ex-political prisoners, its main aims are to provide assistance for other Burmese political prisoners (those in prison and those who have been released), and to document news related to them. Its stated aims are “collecting information about political prisoners and prison conditions” and “giving assistance to political prisoners and their families, for example by providing food and medicines, or financial help to enable families to visit their loved ones in prison”.

The university's primary language of instruction is in English, and it accepts interested foreign students.

The University of Medicine 2, Yangon (Burmese: ဆေးတက္ကသိုလ်(၂) ရန်ကုန် [sʰé tɛʔkəθò n̥ɪʔ (jàɰ̃ɡòʊɰ̃)]; formerly, Institute of Medicine 2) is a university of medicine, located in North Okkalapa, Yangon, Myanmar. The university offers M.B., B.S. degrees and graduate (diploma, master's and doctoral) degrees in medical science. The university is one of the most selective in the country, and accepts approximately 300 students annually based solely on their University Entrance Examination scores. University of Medicine 2, Yangon is one of five medical schools in Burma recognized by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.

South Dagon Township (also South Dagon Myothit; Burmese: ဒဂုံမြို့သစ်တောင်ပိုင်း မြို့နယ် [dəɡòʊɰ̃ mjo̰ðɪʔ tàʊɰ̃báɪɰ̃ mjo̰nɛ̀]) is located in the southeastern part of Yangon, Myanmar. The township comprises 26 wards and three village tracts, and shares borders with North Dagon Township and East Dagon Township in the north, Thingangyun Township in the west across the Pazundaung Creek, the Bago River in the east, and Dagon Seikkan Township in the south. South Dagon is one of the new satellite towns founded in 1989 by the military government. The township has 31 primary schools, seven middle schools and three high schools. It is home to the University of Culture, Yangon.
