Ballycowan or Ballycowen (Irish: Baile Mhic Comhainn) is a barony in County Offaly (formerly King's County), Ireland.

Ballycowan Castle is a castle located 4 km west of Tullamore, County Offaly. It was built in 1589 as a fortified house by Thomas Morres. The castle was built on the previous site of the O’Molloy castle or tower house called Baile-mhic-Abhainn which was destroyed by a fire in 1557. The adjacent tower was built by Sir Jasper Herbert and his wife Lady Jane Finglas in 1626 on land given to them during plantations. During the Cromwellian period the southern end of the castle was blown up from a hill 100 yards away. The lands on which the castle stood were confiscated and handed over to the Earl of Mountrath in 1666.

Mucklagh (Irish: An Muclach) is a townland and village in County Offaly, Ireland. It is located 5 km southwest of Tullamore. As of the 2016 census, the population of Mucklagh was 826 people.

Charleville Castle is a Gothic-style castle located in County Offaly, Ireland, bordering the town of Tullamore, near the River Clodiagh. It is considered one of the finest of its type in the country.

Killurin (Irish: Cill Iúirín) is a village and townland in County Offaly, Ireland. The village is on the R421 road, about 8 kilometres (5 mi) south-west of Tullamore. The population was 142 at the 2016 census. In 2015, local Gaelic games club Killurin GAA merged with neighbouring Killeigh GAA to form Clodiagh Gaels.

Leah Victoria Park is an Irish football ground situated in Tullamore, County Offaly. It is the home of Tullamore Town F.C. The ground has three pitches in total, two which are of international standard and an all-weather pitch.

Durrow (Irish: Darú) is a civil parish in County Offaly, Ireland. It is located about 5.52 kilometres (3 mi) north–north–west of Tullamore. Durrow is one of 4 civil parishes in the barony of Ballycowan in the Province of Leinster. The civil parish covers 7,526.4 acres (30.458 km2). It is contiguous with the remainder of the Durrow civil parish, which is in County Westmeath. Durrow civil parish, County Offaly comprises the small village of Durrow and 21 townlands: Acantha, Aghancarnan, Ashfield, Balleek, Balleek Beg, Ballybought, Ballycallaghan, Ballynamona, Cartron, Coleraine, Coniker, Coolnahely, Culleen, Doory, Durrow Demesne, Gormagh, Kilclare, Kildangan, Loughaun, Lug and Tara. The neighbouring civil parishes are: Ardnurcher or Horseleap (County Westmeath) to the north, Ballycommon to the east, Kilbride to the south, Rahan to the west and Kilbride to the west and north.

Mag Lena, Mag Léna, or Mag Léne (anglicised Moylena or Moylen) was the name of a plain or heath in the Gaelic Irish territory of Firceall, between modern Tullamore and Durrow in County Offaly. Mag Lena straddled the Esker Riada, was near the border between Mide and Laigin (Leinster), and is mentioned in Irish manuscripts as the site of several legendary, pseudohistorical, and historical events. The civil parish of Kilbride in Ballycowan was "Kilbride al[ias] Moylena" in the time of Charles I. According to John O'Donovan, the name Moleany was still being used in 1837 for the corresponding Catholic parish (formally Kilbride or Tullamore, and united to Durrow, in the Diocese of Meath). By then the area was agricultural rather than heathland.

Durrow Abbey is a historic site in Durrow, County Offaly in Ireland. It is located off the N52 some 5 miles from Tullamore. Largely undisturbed, the site is an early medieval monastic complex of ecclesiastical and secular monuments, visible and sub-surface. The extant monuments at the site include a large ecclesiastical enclosure, five Early Christian grave slabs, a fine mid-ninth century high cross, a fragment of a cross shaft, a complete cross-head (housed in the National Museum of Ireland) and cross base, a holy well and other extensive archaeological features. Hugh de Lacy, Lord of Meath built a motte for the Abbey in 1180, and he was killed at the Abbey in 1186 by an Irishman.

Tullamore railway station serves the town of Tullamore in County Offaly, Ireland. The station lies on the Dublin to Galway and Dublin to Westport or Ballina line.

County Hall (Irish: Áras an Chontae, Tulach Mhór) is a municipal facility in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland.

Tullamore (; Irish: Tulach Mhór, meaning "great mound") is the county town of County Offaly in Ireland. It is on the Grand Canal, in the middle of the county, and is the fourth most populous town in the Midlands Region, with 15,598 inhabitants at the 2022 census. The town retained Gold Medal status in the National Tidy Town Awards in 2015 and also played host to the World Sheep Dog Trials in 2005, which attracted international interest in the region. The Tullamore Show is held near the town every year. The town's most famous export is Tullamore Dew – an Irish whiskey distilled by Tullamore Distillery – that can be traced back to 1829. The original distillery was shut down in 1954. The brand was later resurrected, but at first was produced at the Midleton Distillery in Cork. However, in 2014, the brand's new owners, William Grant & Sons, invested in a new distillery near Tullamore, bringing whiskey production back to the town.
